So I googled "Cricut 101" and the first video I watched was a tutorial by a woman called "Tay." That video was such a confusing hot mess! So I scrolled down a little further & saw this one. The amazing thing is, I've NEVER used a Cricut and your tips & hacks have educated me and motivated me to where I'm TOTALLY confident I'll be buying a Cricut!!! I like using transfer tape with the grid lines.. helps so much with placing vinyl. I use a large self healing cutting mat under the project to help align everything😁

Great video! Thank you for sharing. I noticed a few comments about her teaching too fast. If that's the case for you, just go to the settings at the bottom of her screen (they pop up when you hover near the bottom). Click on Settings, then go to Playback Speed and slow it down to 75% speed. Likewise, if someone talks slower than you like, just speed up the playback speed to 125 or 150%. This saves time since you can get through a video in less time. Or, if you want to see a section of the video again, do an "instant replay" by backing up a little on the video timeline, near the bottom of the video screen when you hover your mouse down there. Just click a half inch or so back on the line and watch that part again without having to watch the whole video over again. I hope these ideas are helpful for you. Also, you can pause the video after each tip and make a note. Then restart. Often the host will add helpful reference notes below their video that tell you where to find the items you'll need, or even links to other helpful videos. You may have to close the comments and click the down arrow near the bottom righthand corner to see their video show notes.
@@MakersGonnaLearn My stepmom is 91 and still learning from videos, things like how to sew in a hidden zipper, etc., but she's not very computer savvy. So I thought others may be having that same issue. They know how to watch a video but not how to optimize it best for them. Feel free to copy and share the info anytime it could help someone. I like using transfer tape with the grid lines.. helps so much with placing vinyl. I use a large self healing cutting mat under the project to help align everything😁

Great video! Thank you for sharing. I noticed a few comments about her teaching too fast. If that's the case for you, just go to the settings at the bottom of her screen (they pop up when you hover near the bottom). Click on Settings, then go to Playback Speed and slow it down to 75% speed.
Likewise, if someone talks slower than you like, just speed up the playback speed to 125 or 150%. This saves time since you can get through a video in less time.
Or, if you want to see a section of the video again, do an "instant replay" by backing up a little on the video timeline, near the bottom of the video screen when you hover your mouse down there. Just click a half inch or so back on the line and watch that part again without having to watch the whole video over again. I hope these ideas are helpful for you.
Also, you can pause the video after each tip and make a note. Then restart. Often the host will add helpful reference notes below their video that tell you where to find the items you'll need, or even links to other helpful videos. You may have to close the comments and click the down arrow near the bottom righthand corner to see their video show notes.

@@MakersGonnaLearn My stepmom is 91 and still learning from videos, things like how to sew in a hidden zipper, etc., but she's not very computer savvy. So I thought others may be having that same issue. They know how to watch a video but not how to optimize it best for them.
