Very nice job rounding and polishing those crazy edges. It looked like something you’d get in a cereal box before. Like you, I’ve had some great Old Timers from the 60’s and 70’s, and the new ones are just no comparison. Still, a nostalgic pocket knife and you made it look and “feel” a million times better. Nice work!
9:00 😘👌Looks great. Sure it feels great. I have a 10 dollar stockman, but it has actual bone handles. It is my edc. If you can do finishing work like this, they come out pretty nice. Then I keep my more expensive knives home when I do chores or fish or garden, but still have a pocketable user that if it gets lost or worn isn't tragic. Even a couple of minutes of hand work with 3000 grit sandpaper, Flitz, and a good whetstone does wonders. Back in the day, I would get the pocket worn effect naturally without even trying, because I had dimes in my pockets for the pay phone. 😂
I had the larger 4.5inch frame in bone and the blades steel is way better than the other China made delrin covered ones and cut way better. Lovely polishing job on your knife well done 👍🏻
