I love my Wharncliffe knives. God Bless America 🇺🇸
Man, you just made me miss Florida on your ride!! I traveled many times on US41 down in SW Florida, Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte and so many other little towns. I lived in Rural Collier County (Immokalee FL) for 20+ years moved to Central Texas in 2016 with the family. Love the bike! Been thinking about getting me one too!! Thanks for taking us along!!
@@mipd1980_edc it’s a great little bike, loads of fun, thanks for checking out the video
Thank you for taking us on the ride. I have been waiting and hoping you’d do a video like this. Out of all the bikes I’ve owned the Kawasaki KE100 was the one I enjoyed the most. You look like you have a great area up there for riding, stay safe
@@johnshifflett1722 thanks and Merry Christmas John
Nice! I was waiting patiently for a ride video. Lookin' forward to more. I would love to live in that beautiful area. Them ribs are lookin' yummy. Merry Christmas! 👍🏻😁
@@timwagster9458 Merry Christmas back at ya!
Rough riders
That's a beautiful area, John. Great day for a ride!🏍😃👍🏻
I have this same knife and have loved it. Nice to see a video about. Bought it. We in Branson long ago. I’m getting better with sharpening and this one has been a challenge but I think I got it figured out.
@@lancereiman6516 it’s pretty cool knife
I entered sending now
I love mine!
Nice. I really like the KLX 300. Awesome being able to ride this time of year as well..... we were just down in Orlando racing my car at the World Street Nationals earlier last month and Daytona for Thxgiving / Turkey Rod Run.. The weather was beautiful until we got rained out both trips but that's Fl and it was still warm. My KTM is tucked away in the garage as it's absolutely freezing up here in Va. Looking forward to spring when I can ride it again. Have a good Christmas John.
@@billyj.williams2341 you have a great Christmas as well
Do you leave that bike there on your RV site or do you have a place to store it? I lived just like your living now in Florida and I wouldn't leave a pair of shoes outside without fear of them being stolen. Unless Florida has changed in the last 8 years 😂
@@MountainManKnives64 storage
The Tacray is an interesting knife, love the blade shape. I wish everyone would countersink the pocket clip/screws like that. The green lizard skin collection you have looks awesome. The autumn bone is incredible, I don’t think I’ve seen the deep canyon before. It’s cool they didn’t put a shield in the scales.
@@ElCapAddict no, they don’t put the shield on the deep canyon as far as I know, thanks for viewing
Good luck everyone. Thanks, John K. I entered with a Barlow?
man i wish i had one of those mako knives.
@@JohnLee-ov2mk they are cool
Love a DROP POINT 112 Ranger!
@@gvanderweele2334 I’m loving it
Beautiful SOD BUSTER, the scales are stunning and CASE did a great job on that version.😀 I have carried a Bare head trapper with What me cliff CV blade (DLT exclusive) for a couple years and love it. I could not resist the Shepherd Hills' exclusive. It arrived last week! It is a beauty. Three very good purchases and thank you for sharing.
@@gvanderweele2334 my pleasure
Order my Sod Buster, Autumn Bone today👍
@@gvanderweele2334 good idea
Case XX the 🤴
Mine arrived last week. I love the what cliff blade as well as the Bare head design.
@@gvanderweele2334 great knife huh?
Breaking down boxes a work is why i bought the qsp penguin.
@@dgoody84 cool blade but this one is half the price. Also, the Civivi Starflare is another good one.
Reverse tanto on the Tacray?? I love a wharncliffe its nice having that type and as long as you use your knife as a KNIFE and not a PRYBAR youll neve have an issue
I don’t have any wharncliffe blades but been wanting one in carbon steel
Three-3 cool
I entered but I don't see it.
@@colbyg.8261 folding Hunter right?

Already entered! Merry Christmas 🎄
Your Grandads knife looks to be a 118 personal. Buck just had Buck written on the blade from 1961-67 and the steel was 440c. It was called the personal because it was Hoyt Buck (founder) favorite knife. P.S. The 118 is a great field knife. Not to big not to small.
@@steveharmon5301 thank you for the info
Cant wait for mine to come in shippin says 24th and my razor
You got a good one John! I like the barehead look and the burn is perfect! 👍🏼💯
I have a bunch of jugs of water under my bathroom sink just in case everything takes a crap, LOL for a while.
We used rubber band to get rid of the "balls" on sheep growing up. One of them we called "one-nut" because you know.... His mom died so we kept him instead of sending him out for butchering.
Such a great size knife
Its got that rainbow powerbait look to it.
Make sure you clean that barbecue sauce well if that’s a carbon blade. Love how the carbon cuts but hate how it rusts!
@@lynnwade6734 little pork fat keeps the rust off
@ good to know I’ll try that!
I know you will be shocked that I’m not a fan of the blade.Of the 160 or so that I currently own none have that blade design.I’m sure some people love them but it’s not for me.🇺🇸
@@1OFGODSOWN you should try one out. It’s a great shape for daily edc and can do some great precision work like getting a splinter out or trimming tag on fishing knot
@ I get splinters out with my tweezers on my Victorinox and they are the best tweezers ever.👍👏
Thats a beut
Wow! havent seen that one!
@@BaxtersBlades it’s nice
I don't think I've ever seen a full sized Sodbuster for sale anywhere before didn't even know they made them.
@@madtownangler you got to get you one, they are nice and reasonably priced, yellow , orange, red, and black is what I’ve seen them available in.
Nice, has that 1800's look to it.
@@JoseGonzalez-yx6vm yes, very classic look
I love that Autumn bone! It ages really well too.
@@jimbusmaximus4624 I wonder if it’s harvest bone with a flame put to it?
Is this the new smoky autumn bone smkw was just selling?? Just got that razor yesterday very curious hows its gonna look
@@toddwills9492 yes it is, it is darker than the harvest bone, but nice deep bones
@JohnKlahr awesome beautiful soddy btw
I have an old Kabar hobo take apart that has one dark brown/greenbone scale and the other is solid black. Go figure.
@@UnstoppableYaris I like it when they are different, like having two knives in one
@@JohnKlahr I suspect mine is a salvage LOL... The black scale has not even a hint of brown. I'll post something to show it.
@ cool
That's a good looking knife for the money. Looks like it bit your finger already 😏
Very nice knife John! It's so thick it looks like Stag😂
It's not chrome vanadium, it's 1095.
@@LarryReynolds591 you are correct
I got a "Viper-Tec" OTF double action deep carry D2 steel with aluminum handle assembled in Texas for like $80 im really happy with it for a budget knife and they have an insane inventory.
@@dgoody84 I will check that one out, thanks
What about a sabre or scandi grind??
@@rosstaylor2934 neither are good for slicing, they are more hard use knives
Scandi is good for carving. Gerber mansfield has a nice scandi grind.
Not a bad looking knife. The D2 is a hard no for me. Just my opinion. If it was in maybe 14c28n or even 8crq13mov it would be ok. Merry Christmas. 👍🏻😁
@@timwagster9458 this thing looks to be made for slicing cardboard
@JohnKlahr pribably work good for that with the right edge geometry. Just not a fan of tool steel in a knife, too brittle. 👍🏻😁
D2 is better than both the steels you mentioned🧐
@@MrElchupacabra7 yes, but I would take them over a D2. It is all about preferrence and our own opinions. Toughness and corrosion resistance are traits that I like too. I love the fact that we have so many choices and we can agree or disagree on what is best. My favorite grouping is Magnacut, S30V and S35VN. I think those are some of the most balance steels offered. Sad that Crucible Industries is having $ trouble. Maybe they can sort it out and remain in business. Happy Holidays 👍🏻😁
Brother give me that M7 bayonet.
Great comparison, I like the Buck. So I’m ordering both.
