    Hi, this was helpful to watch. My laptop is starting to get concerningly hot. It's 5 years old and at least one fan is making a noise. I'm trying to decide between replacing the fan or the whole heat sink since it's hot all across the top (where the heat sink would be when I cracked it open). I dusted it already, but it hasn't made much difference. (Didn't know about removing the screws on the fans for cleaning. I'll try that as well.)

    Good job on the video man! I like to see smaller channels trying to make a name for themselves. I will subscribe.
    I was wondering if it would be worth changing thermal pads in my Asus Zephyrus G15, but it's only 1 year old and I can see from your video that this is probably not going to be worth the money. Soon I plan to disassemble it and replace the Thermal Compound with a liquid metal product. Those have been shown to make a great deal of difference over the factory paste. Good luck with the channel my friend!

      I also wanted to ask if my laptop's Cpu idles at 50°C and Gpu at 53°C is this fine??

      @@NoizieWorks Okay sweet👌💯I did a few stress tests and it doesn't seem to be thermal throttling so I think all is well, I guess one of the downsides of having a laptop is having it run at hotter temps than the sun due to the lack of proper airflow in laptop designs😂

    I replaced the pads on my Triton 500 after replacing the thermal paste because i noticed a dry blue powder on some components. Other components had the exact same compound but was more wet so i replaced all the dry powder with thermal pads and now I'm getting even hotter temps. Any solutions? Did i get the wrong thickness of pads? Or do i need to use whatever that weird blue thermal paste that it came with?

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If there was some dry ish stuff on it it's probably paste. By putting pads on it you made it worse cause the pads don't have a good thermal transfer. Good luck!

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on how thick the pads are, to thick of a gap and it runs out with bad thermals. Imo don't bother and use new pads if you damage them.

      I would spread out the paste to make sure you have good coverage and when you assemble give the heatsink a bit of a push to squish the paste.

    Hi man! Gotta say love your videos! Amazing work! I have a question. In your opinion what is the best laptop for gaming in terms of not getting overheated easy? Is there even such a laptop? Also, do laptop pads work? If yes, can you recommend one as well? I really trust you on this.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey dude! Thanks for the kind words.
      I only have this laptop but i follow the market and they almost all trade between looks and performance unless you pay a high premium so i would go for a model with the specs you want from a good name brand that's on sale. Give it a quick google if there's no big problem with it and go for it. These days the components like gpu and cpu are build to handle 100°c plus but the biggest problem with the thermal design is getting thermal throttling and lower performance. Like this laptop most will benifit from better thermal paste but they will stay hot. As for laptop pads yes they work! go for the reviews cause i'm in the building proces of making my own usb powered cooling pad(buying it will be much cheaper) so you can expect stuff like that in a few months when i'm done with building my cave( facebook Noizie Works if you wanne follow) hope i helped a little.
