Thats how you wind up in lake Austin as a floating corpse .
Think I'll just stay out of Texas
@@frankmacleod2565 don't drink with hookers at a bar ,anywhere in the world
I don’t trust bars. Austin has a serial killer loose who works at those bars.
"Serial killers" have always been scapegoats for all of the local cult killings.
Bingo or on the PD
How about the fact that alcohol is poison to start with? Why poison yourself for a good time?
@@mond000 Of course, some random youtuber is the keeper of the actual truth. Pray tell, how did you come by this information?
@@obscuremusictabs5927 You found the Q-loon 😆
“There’s no serial killer” APD
“There’s no connection between bodies found floating in the water” APD
They’re in denial about what’s happening there.
🎯🎯🎯
They’re not in denial, the city just makes more money if people keep going out.
APD doesn’t want to respond to anything. They can’t handle noise complaints, let alone a serial killer.
Likely no serial killer. But I don’t live in this city. Show me a Saturday night and I’ll show you 1/10 people who would do this 1/5 who facilitate 19/20 who just don’t care to help a stranger who’s clearly lost it. I(many) know bars plural where organized SA happens and the PD do nothing. Sometimes community protected if there’s hateism Those cases are rarer but a countable amount is too many.
Probably the bartender since many men have already been drugged and robbed...and ended up in the river....for years..
If you are out with friends, keep up with them. That is the point of going together.
Exactly!! Don’t stand at a distance and watch them. Keep up with your friends like they are you car keys.
Right. Dudes buddies probably don't like him
Watching your drink is imperative. If you want to get all jag assed then deal with the psychos that are out there waiting to get off on hurting other people. This world is filled with so many nefarious fuck ups. Frankly I find the bar hoppers truly incapable of reality especially those who drink to drunk.
Friends would not want to cockblock if he’s talking to ladies. That could be the reason.
Don't go to bars and don't drink alcohol.
Don't those bars have surveilance cameras? Too many people in The Lake to be overlooked.
It's not just random strangers you need to worry about. Bartenders and other bar staff work with criminals groups to target victims, including bartenders, servers and doormen. They will drug you then throw you out.
This is why they often don't have cameras. Even a decent bar is going to have a chance at criminals threatening it to not have cameras weather for trafficking or "Protection".
This is probably what happened to rhat student who disappeared from a bar after partying with his friends...
So glad this man is speaking out, warning others for sure will save lives. Brave man.
I want to know the back story of talking to women but yet there is his wife?
I totally believe him, luckily he didn't end up in the lake
Austin has demons for sure
Poor guy
This makes me think of Riley Strain in Nashville.
Yes me too
Ditto
Exactly what I was going to say. 😞
Wow, my thoughts exactly!
All this conveys to me is to not drink at all.
It's literal poison to your body, soul, mind... And makes you vulnerable beyond that. Seems a bad bet to me.
Sure would avoid some DUI's that way.
Or be a George Thorogood drinker, I Drink Alone.
OR BUY YOUR OWN AND DRINK AT HOME!!!!!👂🤔👀🤌👋
Or move out of Texas
Dude needs to get him some better quality friends. Real friends keep their friends in sight and don't let these kind of things happen. Kind of hard to find military quality buddies as a civilian but they are out there. Choose your friends wisely.
I was drugged once, and I firmly believe someone had plans for me, but as soon as I started feeling really funny after one drink, I thought that’s not right, so I slipped into the bathroom and got myself outside and drove home carefully. Didn’t think I’d make it. But I did! It was 40 years ago.
So lucky for you to decide to put others’ lives in danger too. Like how sad that so many get murdered by people just like you.
This happened to me too about 35 years ago.
@@M.K.386 what happened in your situation?
@@banzairunner7860 it's a long story. It happened twice. The first time I knew I was trying something different but I had no idea it was a liquid. I remember walking in and I remember walking out. What happened in between and how long I was there, I have no idea. I never remembered any of it until it happened a second time 10 or so years ago. I had a party at my house, a lot of people were here. This guy I knew wanted to know if I wanted to do a shot of vodka and I said sure yeah he said he would go get it and be right back. I didn't think anything of it but I do remember he wasn't gone that long. I went to do a shot because that's what I did. I really wasn't a drinker and he told me just to take a sip which I thought was odd but I didn't question it. When I woke up the next morning I remembered him telling me he was leaving and he was crouching by my bed and it was all dark but I almost thought it was a dream. A couple years after that I was looking through an old flip phone that I had and I saw a picture that I took and it was me sitting on the bed, this guy next to me and somebody else at the end of the bed. It was of my legs, my feet, his legs, his feet, he had his underwear on. I was taking a picture of the person at the end of the bed who had their clothes on. I have no idea why I would have taken that picture because I don't like to take pictures. I was looking through social media one day and I came across a video of me, a tame sex video and I couldn't figure out where it was taken from or when it was. The only time I could think of was when I was 18 or 19 and I went into that house. So the second time it happened triggered the memory of the first time. If it wouldn't have happened a second time I don't think I ever would have remember the first time. I asked the guy the first time it happened if I could get some of that because I thought it was really good and I liked it and he told me it was discontinued. The internet quit selling it, they banned it. This guy was buying it by the case. His dad was a cop. It was GHB. Gamma hydroxybutyric. I think that's how you spell it. I've done Rohypnol too. I used to have problems going to sleep. I would take one of these pills and a bomb could go off and I would not have heard it. We called them roofies. There's dangerous shit out there. Into the wrong hands could be detrimental and fatal.
Gay bar?
"... as well as bodies found in Ladybird Lake, which police don't believe to be suspicious" - 2:57
Austin certainly has changed, hasn't it?
It’s nothing but suspicious…
Yes- it changed to deep blue.
I was drugged by a bartender at a CPK about 13 years ago, and sold. Lucky to be alive. don’t trust anyone honestly.
sold?
Im so sorry, i hope you have healed or are still working towards it
I was dosed to,WE ARE THE LUCKY ONES WHO MADE IT OUT ALIVE 💕
Know that you are loved ❤️
Wym sold?? Hello??
The ATX aint what it used to be
Going to 6th Street even 40 yrs ago was not advisable. It’s always been that way. Ppl just paid more attention to keeping up with their friends in the past.
@@denisekoltys3019 6th street was fun and safe until about 2005-2010. Did you grow up in Austin 40 years ago?
@@paulcarlin5181 Austin was great 40 years ago. I was there. Clean streets and low crime. virtually non-existent homelessness, police in blue and white cars wearing beige uniforms, always friendly.
Now it's a real mess. San Francisco on the Colorado River.
@@paulcarlin5181 I lived in Austin 41 yrs. Moved 3 yrs ago when there was a homeless camp in north Austin 2 blocks from my house and there was a shoot out at a bar in the strip mall I often shopped at.
@denisekoltys3019 I worked on 6th street all through the 90s and 2000s and it was never like this. I would walk from downtown across Town Lake at 4am to go home and never had any problems. This all started around 2010 and it's only gotten worse. This is what you get from decades of democrat policies. That's why Austin has turned into San Francisco, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago or pick any other democrat controlled city they all look the same for the same reasons.
FBI needs to get in on this.
Pfffttttt 😂😂😂
They’re busy looking through the bank records of anyone that purchased a Bible in the last 3.5 years.
They did it
Its a male, no one cares.
No time for that. They are too busy investigating Donald Trump.
You mean the FBI who is protecting the Epstein client list?
A lady he was talking to gave him a drink that was intended for her.
Great, bartender still serving drinks like nothing happened, I’m assuming no arrest were made.
It almost seems like one of the bartenders is in on it.
*arrests
It’s been going on for years and there’s a documentary about bodies being found at lady bird lake!
I have seen this happen to a friend I went out drinking with one night, we figured out it was the bartender and went back the next day and confronted him with the owner present and he started acting really weird! He was fired that day.
His friends left him?
Yup, friends is questionable.
Yep, ppl used to keep up with their friends like their wallets with lots of cash and credit cards inside. Now “friends” wander off and nobody knows where they went.
@@VAHelix Most assume a guy will be ok and they more than likely will be. This was one of the exceptions.
@paulcarlin5181 Men are victims of violent crime far more than women
Exactly lol he should be mad at his friends for leaving him
2024 never let your guard down in public , that means you should NOT be inebriated, that’s for home.
That doesn’t help if the one drink you have is spiked. Men don’t look out for men because they don’t expect drinks to be spiked. It’s under reported. Men’s drinks are spiked so they can be robbed or SAd. Or couple’s drinks are spiked to make it easy to take the woman out of bar. Or beat the man up bc of a beef. Or bc they think it’s funny. It happens at bars. At parties. When someone you invite to your home for drinks. Men rarely talk about it to each other.
It's not just random strangers you need to worry about. Bartenders and other bar staff work with criminals groups to target victims, including bartenders, servers and doormen.
So much for having fun with friends in public. Whelp. Freedom was cool while it lasted.
Exactly.
Exactly it’s extremely dangerous to be inebriated in public! Obviously men and women could both be in danger. Also people need to watch their sons and daughters! Too many people don’t worry enough about their boys unfortunately I know because my nephew was murdered with fentanyl!!!
This world is getting very dangerous.
That's just one reason alcohol is something to be avoided. It doesn't do anything good for anyone.
For those who are visitors here - Austin's city motto is - Keep Austin Weird. Good job Austin ... you're living up to that dream.
i got robbed right to the side of the police station kind of near the bridge, stole my wallet and my jacket tried to stab me with a knife. this was 1993 or 1994 cant imagine how bad it must be now.
This is terrifying!
Gotta tell the whole truth so the cops can catch the bad guys
Bar hopping and getting drunk is the bigger problem.
Once drunk, people can easily take advantage of you- rape, murder, robbery etc
once drunk, you can kill people in car accidents
You have less self control thus you can get into arguments and fights easier(losing your life or taking the life of another)
If you don't know your limit.. you'll be in danger or you'll be the danger to others.
Now you don't have to be drunk for people to spike your drinks, but you definitely become more vulnerable and make their jobs or crimes easier.
You don't give yourself a chance.
I had a girl ask me to stop her sister from leaving a club with a guy
It was awkward but i was able to stop her
I realized she was completely drunk and not even mentally there.
So she wasn't even fully freely moving at her own will at that point..
could easily be raped or killed.
It would be easy to catch the bartenders responsible for these acts. Somebody needs to step up
yeah I got roofied in Boston 20 years ago....happens all over the place.
Yes, but they did a whole documentary on this in Austin. It keeps happening to people, and they keep finding bodies in the lake. It seems to most people it’s a killer doing this. The police deny it, but when you watch the documentary here on TH-cam, it seems like it is actually happening. “No swimming in lady bird lake” it’s called.
Pro Tip: Don't go out drinking.
Good thing he didn’t end up in the lake
It's not in Austin.. but my ex drives a taxi downtown.. he says there's women who work at or frequent the bars targeting drunk tourists.. the women tell the guy to meet them for some fun and give an address or meet up spot.. when the guy gets there instead of the woman they're beat up and robbed by some men.. it's a regular occurrence.. usually the guy is too embarrassed to report it and just gets a taxi/cab/uber back to the hotel.. my ex says some of the tourists have experienced this in other cities AND in other countries !! Be careful out there !!
Cardi b style
Six street in Austin Texas is as ghetto as sixth Street in Los Angeles now, if not worse🙄👎🏽.
I question your taste in bars if you’re hanging around DTLA that’s not the fashion district

"Keep Austin Weird" Its been a successful Austin motto for years. Then they went through their "Defund The Police" phase, which was apparently successful and now they need "Stay TF Outta Austin" as the motto. Also, for us hetero dudes, there should be a "Protect your A-hole at all times" motto. That's the one I use when my friends say they're going down to Austin.
Have your party's and celebrations at home. Being in public places Too dangerous
So, who is in jail then? Became full who you call friends and stick together is a better solution.
Kind of like lockdown ... the 15-minute city virus is already unfolding in the populace. Resist ... RESIST!!
"Party's" is singular possessive, and "parties" is plural, and being in public _is_ too dangerous.
Stay home and be safe
Why not avoid these bars all together??
Never leave your drinks alone or out of sight, ever, when you’re out clubbing or bar hopping.
Something similar happened to a guy I know in Louisiana years ago. He was out with a bunch of people for a birthday party, and they had a large table. It wasn't a night club. It was a restaurant/bar...kinda like Chili's. They hadn't even been there that long. He'd only drunk 2 beers and they ended up having to carry him out of there. He couldn't even walk. They think that he drank a beer meant for one of the women at the table, because there were a lot of them, but who knows. My friend was pretty shaken up afterward describing how he'd never felt like that and how he couldn't walk or help himself. The beers served were all on tap.
It's not just random strangers you need to worry about. Bartenders and other bar staff work with criminals groups to target victims, including bartenders, servers and doormen.
"criminal groups" are usually also satanic cults needing sacrifices for santa muerte or some other demon
Because of stigma this probably happens more than reported and should be taken seriously when it actually is.
Freak bartender spiking men's drinks🤫
Nobody asked him what bars he went to??
PSA: Alcohol makes people stupid.
Went once to 6th ,never again
I was last on 6th street in the early 2000s. Friends and I would inline skate down the sidewalks wearing bright florescent lights on our skates. All of us drunk from sharing a fifth of whisky 30 minutes before. We could skate into some of the bars and restaurants and we never had any trouble with patrons or police. I can't remember ever seeing anything bad back then. Everyone around was just really cool (as we all expected Austin to be).
It's gone down in the years since.
I saw boobs, great times.
Been there…TWICE! Needless to say, I don’t drink or go to bars anymore. Alcohol is pure poison, anyway. Not worth it.
Woah! From a Texan, so sorry had such a horrible experience here. I will be praying for your recovery, well wishes and strength.
Evil everywhere. Even simple bar hopping!!..I wish this victim all the best in his recovery.
That is horrible!! Im glad he's okay!!
Good friends keeping a eye on each other
That happens all the time and is still happening daily.
It does not matter the city or town or if you’re male or female, there are nefarious people out there who will take advantage. I know someone who seemed streetwise, but their drink was tampered with and over 5 years later the incident still impacts their life. The mental impact has led to physical issues. Be very careful and aware at all times.
A cautionary tale of having friends, going out, and being safe AND responsible.
ANOTHER RILEY STRAIN JUST LIKE RILEY OMG IT COULD BE THE SAME THING RILEY WENT THROUGH 🫢
Getting sloppy/comfortable
Why do I picture a drunk him attempting to walk on the top of that stone wall/rail
Bodies found in lake. A college student from Corpus Christi randomly disappeared. All when these people migrated to Texas. Smh
Democrats?
So called friends!
If you go to Austin do not drink at the bars or don’t drink at all.
I got nervous at a bar in Austin. Some people sitting near me kept encouraging me to drink my beer after I made a head call. Kept watching me. Unusual behavior.
Another one? They have a serial there, its obvious.
sht happened to me a few years ago, im glad to be alive some guy gave me a glass of wine i literally fell face first down, be careful out there
Thousands and thousands of people go out every single night in Austin. Why did this happen to just this one person? Was he robbed? If he was they would have mentioned it.
So what would be the motive?
He mixed zannies and booze; he blacked out. His friends don’t give AF!
Happened to me in Austin, in '75, at Mother Earth.... luckily I had friends with me. 🤨
He's lucky that water wasn't even mildly deep.
❤ thank you for sharing your story and I wish you all the best!
Just not safe to talk to strange women anymore (getting hard to find any other kind).
Everyone knows to keep an eye on your drink(s)...except this guy for some reason
Dude got roofied. Too crazy. Probably accidently drank some chick's drink that some other dude was trying to roofie. What a world.
No. It's been happening for years. Drugged, robbed, and left for dead. They're all men.
P Diddy
Christian Amerikkka 😂
Nah...it said he got robbed of thousands of dollars. So it must of been something about him, they saw or something did or said that made him a target..there are too many predators working either solo or in gangs that drug and take advantage of unsuspecting patreons at these establishments.
Was he robbed?
I have the same question. They didn't mention it, so I assume the answer is no. Robbery is only reason a male would be drugged. I'm calling bs on his story. Probably just got too drunk & fell off bridge...end of story.
What are you talking about? You realize that men can be SA. And remember Jeffrey Dahmer?
Thank God he's recovering.
They drug, then follow, then rob, then dump. I think because he never lost consciousness, he likely fought them off leading to him going over the barrier. We live in a sick freaking world.
Never leave a drink unattended anywhere in any restaurant. Take it with you or ask the bartender to hold it behind the bar until you return.
I’ve seen so many guys just get up leave their drinks uncovered and unattended, either to go smoke or bathroom. It’s like they don’t think it can happen to them. Only once did I see a guy take his beer to the restroom.

My grandma said " when you have a drink, don't set it down and come back to drink again" People are dirty!!!!
It's called getting drunk as hell and not remembering. If someone had druged him, they would've stolen credit cards or wallet.

That's messed up. I've been drugged before with some weirdo guy following me.
I gotta wonder about those friends… just saying.

Chasing strange and waking up after Roofies. One heck of a date night.
I was drugged in a joke of a friend, who invited a male friend she worked with. He sent her out to get ice. He made us drinks. Next thing I know I am puking and shitting all over myself. She comes back thinking I cant handle my booze? Trust no one!
Austin residents need to boycott these businesses so that the financial detriment compels the bars and law enforcement to deal with this ongoing crime spree that is going unchecked. Too many mysterious deaths and disappearances associated with this area. Serial crimes maybe one person or maybe it’s a gang.
My son was drugged when he went to New Orleans. Drugged and left for dead! They took everything.
