Super analytical in his approach to powerlifting. Really worth listening to every word he says and seems like a great guy. Can't say that about everyone in the PL community. Thanks for posting!!
Dan always gives great advice. its sound, clear, to the point, understandable, working advice. and not just in this vid but all of his interviews. good stuff.
I like that his so straight up forward about the answer or questions. ....not like others or other videos that try to use all them science techniques...just get to the point it's working out not getting a pedicure.... and his a awesome powerlifter
This was a great seminar to be at. Love the gym and the owner is a gem. I missed the one with eric, Brandon and Sam. Hopefully you guys could get some of those guys back to skibas. Thank you animal.
I will buy the Animal Pack ! ;) He is very insighful in his videos. The powerlifting community really looks forward to hear what he has to say. In summary, we really would like to see more of his videos ! :) Talking and training videos !
Dear Animal, Please do much more videos with dan green. hehe If you do that, I will buy much more of your products ! heheh The dude is an animal/inspiration, but we dont see enough videos.
At 6:05 what he says I believe to be true. Benching seems to rely much more on muscle mass and strength than skill and athleticism. I've seen plenty of smaller people squat and deadlift 450-600lbs but have weak benches in comparison. I personally struggle with bench press. Always was better at pull ups and getting good at rows and hopefully deadlifts too.
I agree. I've worked my deadlift up from 105kg to 150kg in 6 months but my bench is still stuck on 75kg and its been like that for over a year now and Ive had a consistent bodyweight for the past 3 years - 70kg.
Liam Yates Try some dumbell chest work, also try heavier weight than 80kg on the smith machine, it helped me to improve and break plateau's as it helped my confidence lifting past my max.
Liam Yates Bench twice a week not once a week most weeks with a rest week after 6 weeks for instance say Tuesday and Friday every week that should help. 1 day focus on max weight and the next time focus on reps.
Esteban Julio Ricardo Montoya Dela Rosa Ramirez Even most guys with extra help... can't keep up... I run one "heavy week" where it is basically 6 days.. then run a "light week" where I only run 3 days to give the muscles some level of recovery... only way to keep up with people who are on gear.
I wonder if he ever has a day where he just works arms or if he incorporates them in with other workouts, cause his body is complete and he doesn't have a gut like a "typical" power lifter
The advice this guy gives is so genuine and honest. He doesn't sugar coat anything or tell you what you want to hear and i love it
Hard to find a better deliverer of information than Dan Green. This guy is a gift to any aspiring powerlifter.
