There needs to be more things like this. Star Fox itself deserves more representation in some way. Also taking a look at Metroid stuff wouldn’t hurt either.
I started kinda late with Star Fox Assault, but the moment I started that game, the universe drew me in. Just this massive battle between two complexly designed factions that seemed like they have some MASSIVE lore behind them, only to be disappointed that there isn't all that much published lore or anything. It's like the devs thought up a universe about as complex as Star Wars, only to make games about it that don't really reveal any of it because they're centered on great gameplay.
Star fox event horizon by IcecreamMan and A Fox In Space should def be on yours and other peoples radar if they arent already! If they are tho then great 👍🏼 we gotta support these peeps
Blame Nintendo for not being able to figure out how to make a Star Fox game that isn’t controversial without being yet another remake of the original, and even that isn’t something they get right every time.
@FangABXY FangABXY That was part of it. The other problem is that it was on the Wii U, and Nintendo decided NOT to port it to the Switch like they did a bunch of other games that were on that false start of a console. Also, Zero was still yet another remake of the original game, albeit an extremely ambitious one.
right? how is it so difficult to have a game about a handful of furries flying advanced fighters bringing the pain to a group of red shirts with a midlly compelling story? how is that so difficult
@@raxsavvage Nintendo can't resist the urge to experiment. Problem is that in the few cases when they do stick to formula, they REALLY stick to formula.
I'd love to see more of the stuff out of Star Fox Assault. I grew up on Assault like people did 64, and never really understood why people slept on this so much. Tight controls, some of the best music in the series (arguably the best version of Star Wolf's theme), and a strong mix of both ground and space battles. Thank you guys for showing this series some love anyways, and I'm always looking forward to the rest.
I remember on Venom, I got so used to fighting Wolf's team, as they spawn in, I'd fly strait in their direction and take them all out by the time they would finish their intro dialogue
This was very interesting! Nice to see considering Wolf is my favorite character of the franchise, and I'd definitely eat up any star fox vids you decided to put out, would love to see more on the different ships!
Wow, seeing footage from Lylat Reloaded is such a strange experience; I spent so much time working on that back in the day, and it's both kind of awesome to see it being used, and cringy given how inexperienced we were at texturing at the same time. Anyway, loved the video

Hi all, we're working on our next Star Fox video over on EcksToo, should be out in the next day or two. Come subscribe so you don't miss it!! - Charlie
I'm a huge Star Wars and Halo fan, but I also always enjoy hearing you cover additional topics, since you bring the same level of attention and enthusiasm as you do with SW/Halo.
My introduction into Star Fox was the 64 version. I played all three paths of the game. The Wolfen II for a rookie pilot it can be hard to fight, but staying on their tail and shooting without support of enemy fighters it's easy to overpower to the point it's destroyed. So overall it was not big of a threat if you got your whole team there. I will give point in term of armor considering how much punishment it can take, but a fully upgraded laser cuts down on this challenge. Videos on the other ships and fighters from Star Fox would be nice to see. As I would like to see your views on them and how they stand up against each other and other fiction series like a TIE fighter or a fighter from Halo.
PLEASE DO MORE STARFOX SHIP/TECH BREAKDOWNS!!!!!!!! All your vids have been amazing, informative, and super entertaining. Getting into your content has shown me a side of SW I never knew I missed. I am now enthralled by the thought of SW and its beautiful dark side, deep space side and its exciting technology details. I seriously never would have thought you would have covered Star Fox and its ships/Tech (probably mostly ships but theres a lot of crazy robotics always going on). SF is a series which I not only love, but a series where I have had so many damn questions on what made its world and ships tick, questions I didnt think would've been answered ever!! Yet here you are, telling me what's up with the Wolfen-ll. Pleaseeeee do more!!! But whatever you decide, your work has been awesome, and I'll be looking forward to everything you do coming up!!!! :)
I remember being a kid and finding out that their was an upper path, & when I finally got to the last fight with wolf, I lost all 13 lives and almost started crying, but now I under how they were so much better keep making the videos man
I like this kind of content. Branching out into other si-fi universes other than Halo, Star Wars, and the typical topics on this channel. Love your work Ecks, keep making great content!
YES!!! PLEASE TALK ABOUT MORE STAR FOX!!! This is my all time favorite game and i love to see content like this on it! Theres so much to talk about! The landmaster, the blumarine, cornarian ships, Andross’s ships (most importantly the bosses) and so much more! if you guys were to talk about another ship, i would love for you guys to talk about the Cornarian army’s fighters, its standard fighter thats a bit lacking, and the advanced fighter that bill used, and how they kinda reflected the Empire’s starfighters in a sort of way.
I think that by covering various starships from various sci-fi universes you will create a channel that has a fantastic amount of reference material for sci-fi creators in the future beyond just the entertaining and informational you already produce
Yes please! As a massive Star Fox fan myself, I'd love to see more content like this on the channel. Also, Wolfen II's are a beast, especially if you're playing Venom 2 via the score attack(?) mode on 3DS.
I really like having a dedicated gameplay channel, with this channel focused on lore and breakdowns. This kind of video makes sense for this channel imo.
Couldn't say yes any more enthusiastically for more Star Fox content! While I obviously subscribed for the Star Wars content, Star Fox is one of my favorite Nintendo IPs and the occasional break from SW for SF content would be a welcome addition to your channel for me. Hoping most people might feel the same.
Waiting for the inevitable day when EcksToo surpasses this channel and becomes the main channel and Eckhart has to make a video explaining why the channel is called EcksToo.
I've always loved the starfox universe. The tech always intrigued me and the stories where always simple yet fulfilling. I would love to see more content about this series
It's nice to see Star Fox get some love. It's a great series that tends to be forgotten about. The Wolfen II would've been a fun craft to fly, even without the use of nova bombs. Fighting Star Wolf when they had them could be frustrating. I can only imagine what a true successor to it would be like or wonder what the Arwing could be like with some of the same tech adapted to it.
Star Fox content? So I'm very new to your channel, I will be honest, and at first I hadn't even seen there was more than Star Wars content here. I haven't even looked into EcksToo, which is a bit silly - I am a gamer for my freetime, after all. But, I'd definitely love to see more Star Fox content. More Star Fox ships, definitely, not just the Arwing variants we get in Star Fox 2 and Star Fox Command, but there's plenty of Androssian and Aparoid weaponry to pick apart. My favorite ship has always been the over-loaded corvette "Attack Carrier" - a rapid fire vulcan, four large Missile Launchers, and a surprisingly compact hangar bay. It's small, it's initially tough, it does bit of everything without standing out in any one area, and the lines are memorable. Now, whether or not it is more appropriate to put this kind of content (SF, etc.) on the main or secondary channel, I cannot say I'm familiar enough to say. It could branch out into things like the Warframe Railjacks, disgustingly modular and powerful previous Era tech gunships/corvettes, Homeworld, etc. As far as N64 games go, I always felt that SF64 actually accomplished something specific, something that -actually- allows me to say it remains competitive with its successors despite the technology difference. The way branching paths are handled, especially if you don't have any prior knowledge of the game, makes it surprisingly replayable. A run is only so many missions, so you do have to replay it to experience everything, but it's HOW you branch - by performance on objectives - and how those branches make the difficulty of a run a bit dynamic without just using a damage multiplier or spawning more enemies in the same area. As for Lore, there's definitely the Star Fox 64 Official Strategy Guide, which works just as well for lorebook for near everything we see in the game, from planets to characters to enemy and even some ally units. I'd definitely love to see more Star Fox content, but I'm not familiar enough to say whether or not it's better
Star Fox is one of my favourite Nintendo series period with Star Fox 64 being my favourite 64 game outright. So for me I'd be more than down with more breakdown videos. Maybe one on the 2 Arwing variations found in Star Fox 2? The Wolfen 2 should definitely make a comeback but I'll take any new (good) Star Fox game at this point.
I've always liked the idea that Venom mass-produced Wolfens, but the Wolfens that Star Wolf had were the top of the line models that even came with (slightly inferior) reverse-engineered G-Diffusers. The reason we never see the Wolfen II ever again is because those four were probably the only four ever produced and the blueprints for them existed entirely inside Andross's brain, which exploded.
The first star fox game i played was star fox command. I didn't really get into the series but I did admire the many ship designs from all factions and each of their "personalities" in command. I would like to more of that.
I really enjoy the idea of looking into Star Fox and other sci-fi series. Having made a science of Star Fox 64 as a kid, I’d love to see it’s fighters given this kind of attention. It would be especially interesting to compare them against Star Wars ships, perhaps even considering what crossover combat might look like.
I'd love to see more Star Fox content. It's just such a unique universe with crazy cool stuff. Good to see the Wolfen II getting some coverage here because it isn't mentioned very often.
I'm gonna pitch an idea here: What if Star Fox had an aircraft select feature? Where progressively stronger fighters/attackers/bombers etc were unlocked across the campaign. For example: The base ship would be something fairly delicate: such as the Light Arwing from SF2, and progress through craft such as the Arwing, Heavy Arwing, Bullfrog, etc. This would diversify play styles and allow more craft to be represented, such as the Wolfen II mentioned in the video, which would be a sort of postgame fighter. Thoughts?
I will take more SPACESHIPS! any day. Also just a good lore brake down of the setting would be nice for its hard to find something like that. Thank you for all the work that the team does.
Would love more varied star fighter and fleet ship breakdowns from other franchises over on this channel. I didn't sub to EcksTwo for a while because it felt like it was more lets play oriented
You should totally cover more Star Fox ships Star Wolf probably never got their hands on the Wolfen II again because, well, Star Fox 64 is the only time the group actually works for Andross (not counting Star Fox 2). They're completely missing from Adventure and they are also independent during Assault, to the point of even coming to aid Star Fox in fighting the Aparoids. So it stands to reason that they would only have their own personal ship, the Wolfen I.
I think more star fox would be fun, a nice little mix up every now and then for the channel, however I think it fits more on EcksToo but I’d watch it on either channel
6:38 Its not explicitly stated or anything, but I might have an answer for this. The ship was produced by Macbeth industries. Macbeth Industries was either destroyed (Mission Accomplished Ending of The Forever Train mission on Macbeth) or was seized by Cornerian forces after the war (all other campaign variants) thus halting any attempt to reproduce the fighter.
One ship from video games that I think should be covered in one of these videos would be the Pyro-GX from the Descent series. One of the most badass fighters I've ever seen in a game, and capable of carrying a truly ludicrous amount of ordnance. Maybe what we need is some kind of video game starfighters compared with the aforementioned Pyro-GX, the Arwing from Star Fox, and maybe some of the fighters from Mass Effect or Halo or something.
I'll sub to the other channel, either way StarFox is a welcome addition! Edit: I remember it well, the first time I encountered them in the full red path. My sister waited until I beat them and hit the reset button. I did not have a memory card...

The video actually starts at 2:18. You're welcome
I would love more Star Fox shops.
Wait a second... I’m getting a strong sense of deja vu
Love the Star wars content you normally have but this is great you make awesome content. Keep up the great work Thank You sir.
Imagine the Wolfen-II in the hands of the Star Fox Team. Excellent pilots in superb ships.
Honestly Ubisoft with Star Fox is perfect, Starlink Battle for Atlas was underrated.
Both are cool but I think that the Wolfen I has a better and cooler design than the Arwing imo, more Star Fox videos please!:)
Working on a new Star Fox video on EcksToo! :)

Love the Star Fox content!
Yes! Please cover more Star Fox ships!
Would like to see more and maybe also other games too....like Wing Commander. Also tons of ships to look at.
I never noticed it was different than it's predecessor because I never used lock on weapons against the Star Wolf crew.
Keep the lore stuff on one channel and the gaming stuff on the others.
Thanks I love it
I know Star Fox is basically Star Wars with extra furries. But it is nice and refreshing to see it on this channel.
