The angle finder doesn't change the distance from the subject, you would still have to be at the same distance according to your example. Having a longer focal length lens would make more sense, less obtrusive. On the Sony RX100ii, just flip the screen up and look down into it, you also have 28-100mm lens to reach the appropriate shooting distance. I like angle viewfinders but I don't see it making a "respectful" change IMHO.
This street photography accessory is undoubtedly top-notch. Panasonic 4/3 models have it built in, whereas Olympus Pen cameras without viewfinders offer it as an optional addition.
Great video and good info. I do street photography and I find it uncomfortable for me to invade peoples space and privacy, with that said I resorted on using longer prime lenses and I also use zoom lenses. My favorite lenses are #1: Sony FE 135MM GM, #2: Sony FE 85MM GM, and lastly #3: Sony FE 24-70MM GM. I find that using these lenses keep me hidden and inconspicuous to others.
I have always liked the flip down vs side flip view screens on the digital cams...Some of the m43 rigs seem to get it...Fuji at one point made a universal screen that did both side and down flip...I am not a video guy now days so flip down. does is for me....Cheers from Bangkok.
Over the decades, I have used a Nikon DR-3 right-angle eyepiece view finder for street photography, astrophotography, and copy stand photography.
Really awesome

No problem everyone has their own views on it

That’s a great option as well.
I never knew this existed for the canon SLR. would love to see the 35mm SLR collection.
Absolutely they’ve been around for a very long time
