This is EXACTLY what I needed... Last weekend. Lol. I'm making a trestle base entry table that has a 70 degree angle and I struggled with how to safely get that cut... AND repeat it on all 8 pieces. THIS is what I needed. I ended up marking the angle and cutting on the bandsaw just short of the line. Then I took it to my belt sander to get to the line. Yeah... That's where I found how NOT square my bandsaw blade and sander were. Luckily I have room to adjust and I can go back and make one of these jigs. Thanks for saving my project.
Hmm... At 4:48, the jig looks like it has painters tape at the leading end. Was this to remedy a problem you encountered? Also, at 4:49, it looks like the jig and/or panel dropped into a recess on your throat plate, and when you pull it back, you make another couple passes, leaving you with what appears to be an uneven bevel. Have you been able to establish a suitable remedy for that yet?
@@Craftswright Making a step stool for my niece. Used the jig to cut my tenon's for the legs. They are at 6degree angle so I had to make a tricky cut for them to go square in to the top of the stool. The jig worked amazing for this. Will definitely be checking out your other videos.
Sorry, i know this is an old video but hopefully I can get some help... This was a great video thank you! I built something similar to this using your video but for some reason, i always get a wobble (side to side). Everything seems to be square and I can't figure it out... Makes for inaccurate bevels due to the slight wobble. Any ideas?
Craftswright & Makery just for the record I downloaded the free plans. It hurts me that I can't donate anything, :( seriously, but unfortunately I'm disabled on S/S. I love the jig and hope to make it one day. But it depends on how much I can work that week or that day in my shop. Most days in the winter in MS, my shop doesn't even get opened up.
+Him and I Woodworking thanks glad you liked it! I’m a little late with the next video, ran into several problems with the project but in the home stretch now. Should be out Wednesday or Thursday. Cheers!

Definitely need to build one of these!
I modified one of your ideas for this jig when planning mine. Thanks for contributing! :)
Man this is a great idea!!
Nice jig.

Awesome. Love the clamp groves. Going to use it for cutting board bevels and dados on the top of table legs. Thanks bud 👍
Try cutting a equalateral triangle with 20 degree bevel cut and keeping the tablesaw blade at 90 degrees.
hahaha, 'look at that transition' - had me lol'ing XD
Pretty slick eh? lol
Cool job. And well explained. I made a much cruder jig like this, but I like yours much better! Thanks!
Hey if it works it works, no matter how cruddy right?
Great job, I like it and it's a lot safer with the jig.
I would almost call it impossible without. I mean, it’s possible, but soooooo dangerous to your digits 😂
I just made this after watching your demonstration. Awesome build video. Already using it for a project I'm working on.
That's so awesome! Glad you found it useful. What are you working on?

Nice jig 👌. Nice one to make if I ever need some angled cuts 👍
Simple & effective lol
Great!
+Łukasz Buba thanks! What about it did you like?
Hi, the URL for plans goes to a site that says "expired."
I'm not sure I'll ever achieve the mastery on display at 3:17
😁

@@Craftswright trust me i know how that goes
Wait, at 1:58 was that a blade runner reference?
Not that I’m aware of, but now I’m curious 😁

Now I feel really dumb because I still don't see it 😂I need super layman explanations lol
