I was in Lowe's last night trying to kill some time because it was raining hard outside. I walked over to the garden dept and found this exact 3700 PSI Simpson/Honda pressure washer on clearance as a customer return...for $200. The sign on the unit said it had a flat tire and a carb problem. Because the regular price was $750, I figured I could probably troubleshoot it and maybe get it going. I bought it, brought it home, and then found your video on how to start it. It worked!! The thing runs like brand new and looks brand new! I got a steal on this! I appreciate your video!! Thanks!!!
That's a serious machine there. Try squeezing the handle of the spray wand while starting the engine to reduce pressure buildup. Even though you may not feel it, it slows the start up because it adds drag. Love that GX
Watched his whole video. Luckily I seen this comment. Cause that’s exactly what helped me. Lol. My pressure washer thanks you for not being set on fire.
I just saw your video.......Thank you for the explanation for starting issues..... I was about to throw my new washer in the damned lake or send it back....I’ll try your ideas tomorrow.....
could not start her for the life of me 😂 turned to YT , this video, for some reason the light bulb came on and went outside and started her right on. thanks dude
Thank you! Couldn't start it because there was nothing about where the throttle lever should be! Your video did what was intended, saved me more headache!
It’s in all of the manuals that come with it. But even though I’m doing every damn thing correct according to the manual, even got fresh ethanol free gas and the thing refuses to start after running through one tank of gas. Already returned the last one after 4 uses with the same problem thinking it was just that model, now I’m thinking it’s time to get my money back & get a different type.
Motor won't start if low oil or bad oil sensor. After going through checklist and multiple video my fix was disconnecting the oil sensor wire located in the wire bundle next to on/off switch. sensor wire is the black one that goes up toward fuel tank. disconnected and started on 1 pull then reconnected and worked fine after. make sure the oil is topped off regardless, should almost come out when removing cap..
Hey i have the same pressure washer but it keeps backfiring when im nit pressing the trigger you think it could be bad gas in it that causes this problem or what
Mine is brand new and won't start with the choke to the left, but starts with it to the right and dies if I move it left. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Honda be making their engines so complicated to start i have this same pressure washer with a Kohler engine and all it has is a choke and on off switch with an auto throttle it only runs full throttle when pulling the trigger on the pressure wand. The exact same Honda model is like this one. Got a jump around spin around and spit twice before the thing will even try to start.
@@jovanydiaz5304 ok cool, thank u. I started mine already without moving that lever at all, i think it's in the rabbit mode , it seemed to run fine and I used it for a few minutes
Lmao mine won’t even try and start tried checking the plugs tried changing diffrent ways I’m starting it gas still won’t budge I’ve only got it cranked once and just shuts off

Couldn’t star mine 20 mins after buying, watched this video and it started right up!! Thank you
Sir,you saved me lots of trouble. Thank you!
Do u put the oil in the other two oil places too????
Always use Sta-bil fuel stabilizer in your gas. Mix it as soon as you fill your can, and the fuel will work just fine for over a year. I've done it.
How did you change your fuel?

Thanks for the video. It showed me that my gas lever was turned off. That’s the reason mine wouldn’t start 😆🤷♂️. Doh!
The best power washers around, with the best small engines, a Honda. Bam!
Thanks for the info. We needed it
On mine I just put the Rabbit lever to about halfway and switch to On and it starts right up, I don't mess with choke or anything...
How did you drain the gas ?
I can’t get mine started because it has old gas and not turning the levers on correctly.
Excellent Starter Video, Thanks Joe!
how is the pressure washer holding up?
I just took delivery of mine, but the throttle lever is stuck, not sure what I'm supposed to do. Any pointers???
It’s just really tight most likely

Have you done a tune up video for your Simpson power washer?
Yessssss it started! Thank you!!
I don’t know nothing bout meth…..anole 😭😭😭😭

This is what I have to try tomorrow because carb is fine and everything else and was running out of ideas.

Heyy I have the same issue I just move the Rabbit lever and starts right up...I think that's Good.
@@vallero7607 my rabbit lever won't move
@@paulpersons799 push it hard af
So what you're saying is that you didn't read the manual... All of this is covered within.
Thank you for the video sir!
I NEEDED this! THANK YOU!
If you have a Wawa gas station nearby, they carry ethanol free gasoline. I am in Apopka Florida.

When I turned off it starts leaking oil and smoking a lot this is my first machine is that normal ?
No
Thank you!!!
So that is that stupid oil cap for? Why would they just do it at factory
4:08 hilarious
Thank you! Because I was about to put a hammer to it!
good job! thank you
Thanks for sharing this.
I failed to mention to move the run off switch to run, it's the red switch on the right side, this definetally helps get her going;)
That was pretty cool. Sounded like a Cleaner for the mob. I think I will take the mans advice. :|
You have helped😂 0h thank you
There is a reason this video has over 96k views. I have one of these. It is a straight up POS!!!
don't forget to turn the switch to the on position on the other side, lol I did.
My fuel rpm won’t move its like stuck
Mine won't either, I think these newer ones don't have fuel throttle. Ur talking about the silver lever above the choke switch right?
@@paulpersons799 i got it fixed it was the throttle bolt was too tight loosen it up a little bit

to make your video short . just don't use old Gas always use fresh gasoline
Uhhh what was your actual point?
Keep your gas fresh kiddo.
Go kart engine 😊

connectte water , others it doesnt work...
I don’t have a clue to his point.....
You didn’t even start it
High test like 95
If I add gas straint in the carb it will run . Think the carb is garbage . Had it 2 years . Never buy one EVER again .
Waste of time
