Trying out a New Toy! (Ripper Roller)

- We got the opportunity to try out a tool that we have been wanting to try for a while now…a ripper roller. This thing hasn’t disappointed. Although it did struggle with the grass to begin with, after we figured out what it could do it’s working wonderfully. Peanuts will be going in the ground soon so everyone stay tuned for that. I have high hopes for this year and plan on keeping the content rolling.

We have a 9 shank KMC ripper/roller. It covers the width of a 4 row cultivator, with a shank every 18 inches.
We took the roller off the back and replaced it with spider gangs from 2 old Lilliston rolling cultivators.
It does a great job for fall tillage behind once disced corn ground ahead of a cover crop of oats or rye

We used A ripper roller to make our srip till rig with. Of course we took the rollers off and changed some things but thats what it started out as. Lol
