Thank you for covering the build of this ...can I even call it a hayshed?!!! That dryer is very interesting! Have you started haying yet? Here in Central Minnesota the hay is ready but can't get more than 2 days of dry weather. At least our ground is still ok unlike some farmers not far from us. If we were still milking cows we would be cutting and baling the next day for balage. But we just sell the hay now! Looking forward to your videos! Love watching them all!! Good luck this summer!!
I have been around baled hay for over 70 years. In addition to dairies, feed stores, feed lots and horse ranches, we now have compress facilities loading containers for export here in the Imperial Valley. Forget the weather as your primary concern. How you build and plan to suppress and rebuild after fire is your biggest short term and long term challenge.
@@FarmingInsider I don’t think I’ve seen the video on last year barn but did you put an auger pit in? I’m thinking that would be the key to less waste and cleaner.
The usual strategy is multiple somewhat smaller hay storage barns as an insurance measure against a total loss should spontaneous combustion or a direct lightning strike start a fire . It happens and they burn for days .
The agriculture technology presented here is revolutionary. Thanks for sharing such a comprehensive look
I'm looking forward to watching this come together. I love your operation.
Thank you! I’m going to do everything I can to be very dedicated to consistently uploading this season. You guys are great
I just knew you couldn't get this job done without Carl. Good job Carl. That's the most I've ever heard Carl talk.
He did a fantastic job sealing it up
Nice work! You guys have an amazing crew and I really enjoy your videos. Keep it up. Look forward to more progress updates.
Thank you for the kind words! We will be posting the footer pouring video very soon!

Fire would be terrible. Fortunately this is not our only barn
@@FarmingInsider To manage and reduce loss due to fire, three, 2,000 ton barns instead of one, 6,000 ton barn would help.
With a d8 and 3-4 631 pans and a 815 compactor with a blade you could do all of that in a 1/3 of the time or less
Send them our way!
Nice job cheers from Greg in Australia 🇦🇺
Can’t wait to see more..
Us too!!
Good to see a family business doing well. Will the pit be turned into a pond ?
I think that’s a plan when we can focus on it. We had the division of soil and water come out to help us make a good plan
Great video
Everything goes better when Carl is involved!
I agree!
Wow, hell of a crew! you guys do it all. Can't wait to see this barn and drying system. Is the rebaling gstaying put or going in the new barn as well?
It is going to move into last year’s new barn shortly!

You never got back to us and showed the progress on 32,000 square foot barn
It’s in some footage, but you’re right I never gave everyone a completed over view :( I’ll do better updating with this barn build. I promise
Never heard of clay for building up in the north we dig that crap up and replace it with class five gravel .
Dang that would be pricey!
Dang that would be pricey!
Building is expensive nowadays . But for a building to last the clay most be covered up with a better material .
Hay

Way too much yapping sales-guy.

Long story going nowhere
