Have one of the originals with the speed feed stock. She's still just as trustworthy today as when i got her. Love the look on your face when the bayonet gave way!!

I like the wood furniture. I bought the 590A1 SPX about 6 years ago and it came w the bayonet it's probably 1 of my favorite toys. Nice job on the repair!
Good stuff. Really gorgeous gun. Almost making me regret my decision! I was struggling between this one and the more simple classic 500 retrograde. I ended up going with the 500 but this one sure is sexy. I guess I can always slap a heat shield on it for a very similar effect if I really want.
My favorite home defense shotgun. Great guns, great video sir. A cold compress helps with the shoulder. This comes from a long time goose hunter. Ouch!
I have two shotguns, the 590 retro and a coach gun. Can’t decide which one I like more. The retro looks and shoots awesome, but something about a short double barrel just screams boom stick. However the double barrel takes its toll alot faster on the old shoulder.
How come your front sling swivel is on the bayonet lug, but whenever I see them online it’s on the front of the tube? Is there any way I could alter it to the way you have it configured?
Yes, it came originally with the sling swivel on the magazine tube, however the bayonet lug is already drilled & tapped for the swivel, it's very simple to switch over.😎👍
Hi, yes it's the 20" barrel, this 590 has just a regular barrel with polymer trigger guard, and the 590A1 has a heavy barrel with metal trigger guard. It is possible to change the barrel & trigger guard, but It would probably be cheaper overall to buy the 590A1.

Hey how do you move the forward sling mount to the back of the bayonet lug? Do you need a special tool to remove the mount from the end of the tube?
The front sling mount can simply unscrew from the tube, and the bayonet lug is already drilled & tapped for the sling mount to be installed.

No, they don't slam fire.

If you're asking where to buy it, the heat shield came on the shotgun from factory, I think you'll have to contact Mossberg to buy it separately.

Remington QC sucks. The 870's have sloppy actions. Went Mossberg a few years ago and never looked back.
