My best card to pocket - spectator takes deck, shuffles, selects any card, optionally signs it, puts it anywhere in the deck they want. They handle the deck the entire time. Card winds up instantly in my pocket. No prep, borrowed deck, any time, any place.

This is a great take on card to pocket. I did it and even in the first phase they freaked out. Another nice touch to it is to go through the deck and pick a random card, put it in your pocket then palm it out and put it back on the deck secretly.
Knowing how a trick works allows appreciation for the Magician rather than just the factor of being amazed. You aren’t really creating competition for professional Magicians because it would take years of relentless practice to compete with you. Plus, it’s not just performing a trick but being entertaining. It would be nice if you’d make a video of yourself at a gig. What do you say?

Chris Ramsay did a video on a card steal on his channel that looks super casual and leaves time for you to talk as well, and I use that all the time because I cant DPS yet, and it works super well.
Wouldn't it be far easier to pull a standard gamblers cop as soon as you've culled it to the back? It's probably just my way of avoiding the ball shrivelling humiliation of seeing how bad my attempts at the dps would be 😅
Haha ya like I said in my live today, I don't usually tend to do the easiest stuff...for me its more about the pleasure of using the dps. But yes, you can definitely just use a cop with the deck face up.

The easy way of doing that trick is just have a lot of pockets, each with a wallet of which each has four sections. The only hard bit is remembering where you put all 52 cards.

I liked the diagonal palm shift from the top of the deck. But card to pocket I will only do a second phase if they say do it again. Also I use a one hand top palm or I will cop the card.

I've never considered a top Diagonal Palm Shift. I'll have to add that into my practice handling.
