1: Get 10 cards 2: Get them to pick one and put it on the top 3: Make them move the cards a number of times between 1 and 10 to the bottom. Remember this number 4: Reverse the order of the cards, you can move them face up and go through. 5: Face up split deck into 5 and 5 piles, spread them out in your hands 6: Get the right pile under the left 7: Get them to move one card at a time the top to the bottom the number of times of their previous number + 1. 8: Deal and duck until the last card is theirs. I know this is an old video but I hope it helps someone :)
One of my favorite tricks is similar to the 21 cards/3 rows of 7 but there are 16 cards with 4 rows of 4 that get laid out face down in 4 circles of 4 cards eventually. The spectator picks facedown piles and when he is done, he has picked his card! My dad taught me that years and years ago. 🙂
What is this trick called?? I remember a client of my dads taught me it 6 years ago, I’ve been trying to find it for years with no luck. But this sounds like the one I’ve been looking for!!
A Little idea I had is to use the deal and duck method. You could just tell the spectator to put one card behind first and then to deal. This way you could work your way around the sketchy one more card thingy.
It would also work to duck deal instead. Alternativly in the original trick the solution is always the fourth card from the top. Without the one more card thingy it would be the fifth card.
my favorite self working is where you shuffle and then trade decks with spectator and you both pick the same card after choosing from the previous deck, I got it off of your channel and everyone is blown away by it….only thing required is bottom control, and after you trade decks and pretend to pick the card that you already picked even though your seeing it for the fist time….like I said the deck trade and the Spectator following your every move gets them so confused they forget about bottom control…when you and the spectator flip the same card over at the same time it fools everyone
Very nice tutorial as per usual. Having said that, personally, I absolutely HATE any deck that is this minimalistic and doesn't have boarders. I think that regardless of deck type, the deck should always make an effort to distinguish card types and make each card as unique as possible so that there is no ambiguity as to the number and suit. That way, tricks and slight-of-hand are all the more impressive. For my money, spectators should be able to very CLEARLY see the number and suit of each card at a distance. Otherwise, the deck fails at its core function/purpose.
I agree. The black cards on black background are very hard to see and the print on the cards are very small and make it hard to identify which card is what.
I was practicing this along with you in the video, and by complete random chance, I picked the 5 of clubs, just like you. Idk the odds, but that's awesome
The odds are 1 in 52. If 520 people tried the trick as you did, about 10 (say, 8 to 12) people would have it happen to them. It's the "observer effect". It seemed unusual, so you noticed it. Those that don't have it happen, don't notice.
You may want to invest in a bright green mat to use with black cards. With black on black there's no contrast. If you were using a green mat the cards would show up better. With the black cards and black mat, you may as well have a blank screen because we can't see anything anyway. Just a tip.
as another option because you know the card is 4th from the top, I fan out all 10 cards facing the cards towards the spectator saying I’m going to try and read their expressions again. I then ask do you see your card, think real hard of your card, patter patter, etc. while I’m saying this, I use my left thumb to thumb peek the bottom left corner of the 4th card by sliding my left thumb nail under the bottom left corner of the card and pulling the top of my nail towards me. if you look from the left, it’s real easy to see. free peek at the card! now you know what their card is and can choose how you want to reveal it!
I love your channel! I don't remember the name but one of my favorite self-working card trick uses the Si Stebbins stack it is about cubing and squaring the cards it is great! I think I learned it from you.
Don’t know the name but dealer deals out 3 rows of 7 cards one at a time, left to right. Spectator mentally picks a card and tells the deal which row it’s in. Fold up the rows with the named row placed in the middle of the stacked cards. repeat 3 times. The mentally selected card will be the 11th card from the top after 3 iterations. The method of the reveal is at the dealer’s discretion but I like to control that card in a manner that has the spectator selecting the card.
What is the name of this deck...I love it!!!...instEAD OF DEAL AND DUCK I CALL IT THE AUSTRALIAN SHUFFLE DEAL AND DOWN UNDER...I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF GEMINI TWINS
Oh! 48 hours. I thought you said 4 to 8 months. 8-((... _My bad!_ ;-))... That aside. I can never remember card tricks. I do for a while, but older age and good memory do not go hand in hand. So simple card tricks are great and more memorable. _For slightly longer!_ And the better tricks are ones where you're putting the emphasis on the person you're doing the trick too. The less you can _"fiddle with the cards"_ the better the trick is. In my opinion. 8-))... And this is certainly one of the better tricks 8-))...
Great tutorial CM! This is an effect I don't perform as much as I should. In regard to my favorite self-working effect, right now it is the sweet 16 effect found on Robert Ball Magicians channel. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to MrMDoesMagic! #Roadto28K!
im new hee hee 😆 but may i know what kind of material of the card to buy when just trying to learn the tricks and not really using it for games? Hard paper or Plastic? or sonething else?
Hey Mechanic I don't like self working trick but one of my favorite self working trick is lazy man card trick I love this trick and I use this trick a lot but the deck you used in this video that Is mind blowing I love this deck of cards because of its print so thank you for sharing this deck Lot of love ❤❤
My favorite card trick ♠️ is the Between The Two Red Queens which is where you need both red queens and 13 cards sandwich between them and then you have your spector pick any card and put it back into the deck .Then you take the cards back and do some kind of move when there not looking to make it seem like there card went from the top of the deck to the bottom and then you spell out the words BETWEEN then put the cards u didn't use on top then spell The word THE then put the cards on top then spell Two put the rest of the cards on top then spell Queens it's very important to spell Queens with the letter S not just Queen like singular it's all together QUEENS OR IF YOU SPELL THE WORD QUEEN THE TRICK WILL NOT WORK
At around 2:35 you are going back thru the deck after turning it over. The "unknown" card had just been shuffled to the bottom and you know the number, in this case 4. When you turn the deck back over face up and start going thru them all you need to do is count to the 4rth up card and that's the card. I don't know how this would fool anyone. You have them stack the deck, then you look at the stacked deck and see the fourth card. Yet you don't mention this at all and go on doing more restacking till you finally stack it to the top.
NOTE : if you play magic on youtube, or are giving out secrets of magic tricks, don't use cards like that because it will confuse the audience. Use normal cards in general, unless you want to introduce the brand of the card for review
Instead of having to do that weird move of one card to the bottom, and then getting them to deal and duck until there is one card left, simply get them to duck and deal until there is one card left.
why is my card always at the second last position? (card 9 of 10). I'm not sure if me being left handed is not making the trick work? I had to figure out a variation to do the trick. Any ideas?
One of my favorite card tricks is Untouched because i don’t have to touch the deck after and after the trick. Once the trick is done you’ll have two decks one of then reveals the card number then the other deck reveals the suit. It’s fun to show my friends.
I have no clue what i'm doing wrong, but neither the last ducked or the card that remains are the correct one... i have followed it step by step.. what is going on? :(
That was the worst deck to use on camera, but I love it ! I'll see if I can still buy them... Great trick btw !
Especially over the black table
Which deck is that ?
@@saqifyeasir1100 I searched that, and it is the navy by pocket aces, copper edition !

Self working card trick: How to vanish a complete deck of cards
1: Get 10 cards
2: Get them to pick one and put it on the top
3: Make them move the cards a number of times between 1 and 10 to the bottom. Remember this number
4: Reverse the order of the cards, you can move them face up and go through.
5: Face up split deck into 5 and 5 piles, spread them out in your hands
6: Get the right pile under the left
7: Get them to move one card at a time the top to the bottom the number of times of their previous number + 1.
8: Deal and duck until the last card is theirs.
I know this is an old video but I hope it helps someone :)
I don't know why when I do it doesn't work😭😭 thx for the help though
It's only ten months old
Get ten cards make them shuffle it and pick a card
It does work
For me the card always gets back on top when i so the “7 cards down then one more down” part
If that was a real performance I would have called you out cause you have two ace of hearts
That "minimalist" deck is so confusing I bet he didn't even do it on purpose. Jeez what a bad deck

Looking for this trick as well. Remember it doing as a kid.
take a black table, take a completely black deck of card... put the cards on the table and the deck disappear... magic
"The Royal Road To Card Magic" is a great book and taught me much about the fundamentals to perform lots of tricks.
I always liked the "Pound a Card" through the table trick. This is pretty cool too! I'm going to practice this one for sure.
Easy and impressive and self working “Gemini twins” no set up, just good memory. Thanks for your great videos and respect for magic. 😊

2:43 he had 2 ace of hearts
The ace at his far left is (shaped like) a diamond - not a heart... hard to tell them apart !
flawless 2:42
The coolest part of the trick is that after shuffling, they leave the cards on the table and they all just disappear!
what card pack are they loooks amazing?
