Saad Zaman the motion in which he makes shin pick his card is super easy and always results in the top card being your card so he could’ve easily placed the card at the top then as you said, used the marked card as a symbol for where the queen holding the card was but it’s a great trick for a young kid starting magic
Yeah some of the others were good and okay, but her actual trick (which I know) was handled well and presented beautifully. Of all of them, she was the best all round.

Then she forces the 8❤ (The black one)on to him while he is choosing and puts it back in the deck and shows them the card she placed on the table.

My friend actually had a trick which basically started off that way. He let someone freely select a card without him looking and then he would guess it's the 4 of clubs and if he was wrong he would just say he's just joking and move onto the actual trick, but this one time he showed it to a friend of ours and he actually guessed correct and our friend is still absolutely baffled on how he knew :D
It was good, but I wouldn't say better than 77 percent. Her pinky break was so large and she held it for so long it was blatantly obvious she was going to do one and I'm not even a magician.

Oh actually nvm. I know exactly how she did it. I looked at the video again and knew that all the cards in the deck were a 2 or 8 of hearts. She had 2 white cards stacked on top of each other. Also, when she revealed the 2, she did a double lift, which explains the next part in her trick.
James Royal Apple thank you, but it's not that I'm smart. When you get familiar with a lot of the different moves in magic, you'll recognize them being used in other tricks. Even though I know what the girl did, she executed it really well. And in magic, execution and presentation are everything.

I understand the trick at 3:47 (1).Actually from the beginning the deck is not shuffled (cards 1st to 52nd are still in sequence). (2).shin lim takes the 10th card randomly . (3).when he tidies up the cards, he puts the rest of the separate cards on the top of the deck. (Watch his hand). Now the card before the 10th card is on top. (4). He checks the cards when he turns around.Then he knows the card. (5).He shuffles the cards to make the deck scrambled (6)Then he adds some hand variations (to make it like real magic).
You should check the indonesian magician named Dedy Corbuzier. He performanced this kind of trick but much more interesting and i swear god dont know how....
It can also be that the first deck of cards is a special one which only has 10th of hearts in it. Like you figured out, the trick is to turn around and misdirect people while he switches that deck of cards to a normal one. Or according to you that's when he looks at the top card of the deck.. I think mine is more plausible since he can easily do sleight of hand to do the switching rather looking at the top of the card which might be very suspicious to the viewers.
That girl was actually pretty good, although I know how it was done (I literally watch so many YT videos on magic) but she has great stage presence, and actually better than most of the adults

Honestly respects to these kids for doing something that Shin inspired them to do! Proud of them because not even me who’s 22 can do this stuff so that’s some good stuff!
I don't think so. If you look at when Shin Lim picks his card, it looks like he is just picking up the cards. But he took the spot where he picked the card and put it on top. He didn't show the face cards, and then he turns around giving him time to look at the cards because the cards could be set up in an order so that you can know any card around it. So he just has to know that one card next to it to know what card he picked. Then he just has to go through and get his card. That may not be the way he did it but it's just a theory that I thought of. It is believable and it is a very good way to find out the card.
He knew shins card once her turned around while he was focused on the cars on top which was in front of the card shin picked , he had the cards cyclically ordered in some way before the trick started and when he turned around probably snuck a peak at the to card so it didn’t matter how many times he shuffled after he already knew shins card, or at least that’s how I’m assuming how he did it because I’d strategically cut the card after shin removed his card
That girl performed the trick with perfection. She while showing the card to everyone else placed a different card on top of it and later performed a double lift to pick up two cards: 1 the different faced card and other shin's card. Those who are thinking I am not appreciating her talent, she was awesome I am only giving my take on that

That girl was actually pretty good, although I know how it was done (I literally watch so many YT videos on magic) but she has great stage presence, and actually better than most of the adults

may be that he felt his heart beat raise or he simply looked in his eyes.
I don't think so. If you look at when Shin Lim picks his card, it looks like he is just picking up the cards. But he took the spot where he picked the card and put it on top. He didn't show the face cards, and then he turns around giving him time to look at the cards because the cards could be set up in an order so that you can know any card around it. So he just has to know that one card next to it to know what card he picked. Then he just has to go through and get his card.
That may not be the way he did it but it's just a theory that I thought of. It is believable and it is a very good way to find out the card.
He knew shins card once her turned around while he was focused on the cars on top which was in front of the card shin picked , he had the cards cyclically ordered in some way before the trick started and when he turned around probably snuck a peak at the to card so it didn’t matter how many times he shuffled after he already knew shins card, or at least that’s how I’m assuming how he did it because I’d strategically cut the card after shin removed his card

That girl performed the trick with perfection. She while showing the card to everyone else placed a different card on top of it and later performed a double lift to pick up two cards: 1 the different faced card and other shin's card. Those who are thinking I am not appreciating her talent, she was awesome I am only giving my take on that

I don't even do magic and I was't fooled by the last kid. However great on Shin for encouraging the youth to follow their passion, love to see that!

That's very cool. Lot of young people have great special skills and I like Shin. It looks like a lot of young people admire Shin Lim. I think he has some kind of special character. People love him. Cheer for him.
