I like the Suzuki GV and the GL is more than good enough but I have to say, at a similar price the Toyota UC XR looks better with the black rims. The base model GV looks very standard. One thing you didn't mention is the warranty and service plans. Suzuki wins in this respect. Insurance also likely to be lower. But as per usual, brand loyalty always stands strong with Toyota.
Good day, you are quite right in pointing that out. The Toyota is covered for 4 services/60 000km and has a 3 year / 100 000km warranty while the Suzuki comes with a 4 year / 60 000km service plan and a 5 year / 200 000km warranty.
that little engine does not do great up mountain passes but all in all its a great little engine, just did 2000 kilometers in the suzuki and it was really great, on road, off road, the only issue was the mountain pass by Tzaneen. The hybrid is interesting and the fuel economy was not bad at all
There are a number of differences but most notably, the Urban Cruiser is based on the Suzuki Grand Vitara, while the Corolla Cross shares a platform with the Toyota Corolla sedan, hence they are fundamentally different cars. The CC is much bigger than the UC in terms of dimensions and it also boasts a more powerful drivetrain, including the option of a hybrid.
Hi sorry I'm late to this conversation but yes, the Urban Cruiser just makes no sense at all to me. I'd rather spend a bit more and get a Corolla Cross. Or spend much less and get a Starlet Cross. Although even the Starlet Cross is just a little bit too big for that engine. I bought a brand new regular Starlet hatch 1.5 xi in July this year (2024) for my wife and myself and I'll tell you what that is just perfect in terms of what I could afford and what I need. Love my Suzuki Grand Vitara GLX manual😊

Service plan is 4 years/ 90 000

what are the differences between the urban cruiser and toyota corolla cross? does the urban cruiser have enough leg room on the read end seats?

@@TheIgnitionTVchannel Thank you so much and is the RAV 4 no longer available in manual?
Is this the same engine in the starlet cross 😢😮,
You need to shift the autobox into L mode if you're going up a hill. 🇿🇦 4:24
Going up a hill in Drive will generally not be very smooth. 😎

It kinda sucks that it doesn’t come with a sunroof though
They should have done something to the infotainment screen...it is very tiny and odd in those boarders
