Hi Mohammed, I'm trying to decide whether the Drive charger is worth the premium over a Tesla Wall Connector. We are building a new home with a Solar Roof, Powerwalls and Span (and a Model 3). What has your experience been like with Drive? Any advice would be really helpful.
@@tominco hey Tom, I really like my SPAN drive, primarily because of how well i know the SPAN team and am confident in their ability to innovate. It currently doesn’t have many features and the value prop is basically only for those that can avoid a service upgrade with SPAN.
It’s a premium level 2 charger , really needs to be installed directly within 5’ of the panel since there are 6 communication wires that need to be installed between the SPAN panel and SPAN drive.
@@umich8907 That's a shame. My Drive would be located outdoors, definitely more than 5' from my Span panel which is going in the basement. I knew most of the features were coming soon but I liked what it seemed to be offering - it's just so new (and requires the Span panel) that there are no reviews to give owner's perspectives.
I love that Mo isn't just selling these products, he's investing in them, and living with them too. #leader
