You'll want to lock-wire the exhaust valve. In time it will start closing at high RPM. Happened to my RSV4 when I was low on time and had the dealer change the oil, he cut the lock wire to the exhaust valve and didn't tell me (I re-wired the drain plug, even but didn't see it). You'll know if all your top end just ... won't go.
@@motoken yes I know how it works, i have the same bike since 2020. When you rew it hard, because the high airflow it can close the valve . Its your bike, your choice, it was just a friendly notice.
Is the servo delete necessary? I just got my Austin Racing slip on exhaust delivered, but I didn't order a replacement module or anything additional. None of the other videos I watched mentioned having to delete the servo or lock wiring the exhaust valve, as I've seen people suggest in the comments section. I was just going to replace the exhaust for looks, less weight and a throatier sound. Do I have to do all the stuff you did with the servo delete and the Heal Tech module?
First, cheers from Valencia (Spain). SecOnd, bro that bike is awesome!!! My daily is a S1000R ///M pack 2018. Love it, but thinking to add to my garage something like yours. Since now, Im not continue thinking it anymore. Just going to the f***ING dealer to buy one of these. One morr suscriber right here
I run a RAM mounts Quick Grip XL on my Duke. Much better and secure option than the one you are using and a worthy upgrade. Nice SDR. You have the same approach as I do with not going to far over the top and trying to go with a clean factory-ish look Well done. On a side note not too sure why you would be concerned with a tune when you are simply doing a slip on. Not necessary unless you are doing airbox mods, a full exhaust, blah blah blah.
I've used this phone mount setup (This specific one) for years and not have a phone fall off. I've ridden all the way to Death Valley off-roading with this thing and the phone didn't fall off. I will keep using it until it fails me.
I mentioned tuning because I was talking about full bolt on mods. I did not say you need tuning for slip-ons. most if not all my bike has been full bolt-ons with full exhaust, airbox mods, and tune. only recently with strict laws that I've stopped to care to do that. my previous 2 super duke's have airbox mods and full exhaust system.
Unless dealer activates in advance you will not find heated grips in the menu / settings to activate - I have new 2023 EVO and also can’t find anything. I think heated grips are back ordered until August 2023 per KTM. So I will ask at 1000 km service to activate in preparation for later install and Fall riding. I opted for Evo Tech tail tidy as looks the best imho with hidden wiring.
I put the v3 mini on my gen 2. Slip on only and it made a huge difference in sound compared to the stock muffler. With the baffle in, It measured 4db louder and 6db louder with the baffle out. Deeper throaty tone. It was night and day compared to the original. Not sure why you you say the slip on AR on a gen 2 makes no difference. That is so far from the truth 🤦🏾♂️
I can't speak specifically on the Austin racing solution of slip-ons for the Gen 2 but from my previous 2 gen 2's; slip-ons without a decat did not change the sound a whole lot.
@@motoken the AR slip on I put on my gen 2 sounds identical to the slip on you put on your gen 3 in this video. I thought about the decat link pipe, but the slip on alone without the baffle was borderline obnoxious, so I ran with just the slip on with the baffle in. I just upgraded to a gen 3 and agree, the wait time for manufacturing can be long, but the AR slip on looks the best in my opinion and the sound is great. Looking forward to receiving my new slip on soon. I went for the v3 mini again at 200mm with orange tip 👍🏾
@Vinny Lopez yes, that wait time is brutal but the craftsmanship is top tier. 👌 I might opt for a full system when I can figure out the tuning situation.
To me exhaust is loud enough - so I would only get a slip on if the same loudness as OEM but lighter. Probably going to forgo it entirely to not be a neighborhood asshole 😂
My God this bike is sick. And that AR exhaust makes it even sicker. Amazing.
Couldn't agree more!
@@motoken I'm looking at getting the new gen 4, also looking at Austin. What size is the V3 mini you have?

Daaaang, you got an "All beast Garrage"...😍
I had a phone fly off my Ram mount. Those rubber bumper pads will get loose and slide off at highway speeds. I have a plastic clip holder now.
Look at the motors in that garage! What do you do!!!
Good afternoon friend, I have a 1390 Super Duke R Evo. Is this exhaust suitable for my motorcycle and where can I buy it? Thank you.
hey mate,
it looks perfect, can you tell me wich model is it ? V3 mini or gp1r/gp1rs? i dont know wich one choose 😓
Dont forget to tie down (security wire) the servo valve because at high rpm it can close the valve .
First, It's not how the valve works. Second, the servo motor works to close the valve. Third, the valve is spring-loaded and is open by default.

Which Austin Racing slip on is this ?
Can’t tell if it’s a GP1R or a V3
This seat cover is the original of ktm mate? Ty!
AR have a few slip ons, what slip on is this size ect

Where you buy the muffler??
Hello, why Turn off the exhaust valve, you do not thé couple and flexibility
I am not worried about the sound levels. I like the loud.

I haven't noticed any actually. I have yet to take it to the track so we will see.
Really nice ❤
How did you get your grips activated. I installed them on my 2022 and can't find anything in the menu to turn the grip on

The heated grips are the se gen 2 grips. Also, yes, evotech is the best looking but also the heaviest.
@@cthulu_oldone that what I thought but since it wasn't mentioned in the video, I thought maybe I missed something. Thank you.
No errors or issues running the slip on/ servo delete without a tune? Does it affect throttle response at all?
I installed the Servo delete module (shown in the video). no errors because of that.
Servo delete most of the times you loose a little bit 9f power in the low rpms.. needs tune for better performance
@Krow AZ sometimes deferences are small and people don't notice it..
I saw a little loss on my speed triple and a little gains on hi rpm..
