After owning 78 bikes this is the best fun I have ever owned. And its my 2nd one! Never had any issues! Awesome torque, handling (twisties king!), brakes etc. And very comfortable too!

Nice video. The Tuono by the way did start its life as a V2.

Yepp. I own the 1st gen which still runs like a charm (only has 27k miles on it). On the road it's still enough (320 mm brake disks and brembo calipers) even without any electronics other than fuel injection.

Thanks for this video Scott! As a first gen Tuono rider this is on my wish list because I like beefy V2s.
On the other hand a 1100 Tuono V4, a Speed Triple and a MT-10 would be nice alternatives.

Thanks for the Evo info. From 1 present Gen.1 owner to another . What a bike . Just had new Dunlop hoops and OEM battery installed. Don't think I could ever part with that motorcycle. Maybe because the 1st owner knew how to mod. a bike . Has all the goodies. Thanks again .

Had MASSIVE Quality issues with my 1390, which took months to repair. Even had it swapped out by the dealer for a replacement bike, also brand new which again had issues.
    Unacceptable at this price point.

What was the issue? I have the 21’ SDR and I have over 5k miles on it and noticed a mcu failure on a couple of occasions but that’s it. So far! I heard it’s a hit or miss with quality. Maybe the crappy ones were built on a Friday or Monday.

    • @NothingToProve
      @NothingToProve  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

I didn't say anything about the 1200RS...oh, that's your point? Well, the 1200RS needs a little more catching up, oh, it's good but so are all the other supernakes. Give Triumph another update or two on it and it will be right with the 1000R and Tuono on a track day. But I'd say it would beat this on a track day, if I was riding it.

These things purr around 5k rpm....its the only bike I own that 6th gear at 100mph lugs. I rarely use 6th on the freeway. I actually prefer the 1290 and the longer gearing, that engine can handle it. With the shorter gearing it is more twitchy and it is already a workout to ride in the 1290 so more power and shorter gears will force it to rely more on electronics.

I hope you don’t mind me asking about another brand that’s not in your video but you own one, so apologies in advance. I’m looking at buying my first r 1250 rt a blue 2022 sport and my question is what is the sport? I’ve looked far and wide on the internet and can’t find anything about it. pffft no way, imagine how many dirt bikers would say this with those huge suspensions, don't expect to get both feet on ground, just keep your left foot on the ground and your right foot on the peg and rear brake. also shifting your ass to the left side a bit when stopped helps to give you more reach to the ground. I had a 1290 and same thing im also 5'6 but it's easy once you get used to it.

The LC8 V is a pretty well developed platform now.
Just don't ever think it will be Honda XR125 bombproof.
The early LC8c Duke (parallel twin) had a LOT of issues.
The current fuss around the cams seems to have been traced to misaligned cross drilling for the oil feed, starving the cams of adequate oil flow.
KTM's response to the matter has been disappointing to say the least.
These bikes should have all been recalled for an engine swap, not a cam inspection at the owner's expense (😮), with experiences covered only if there's a problem.

bikes like these are pointless. 99% of the time you only twist half- or quarter-throttle, which means you ride it like you would a 80-100hp bike. yeah you can do a full-on pull once or twice... a year. but in 2nd gear if you let it rip you re already doing twice the speed limit. very limited use case, an exercise in futility, marketing and lack of experience selling motorcycles more than actual use cases. like an expensive car, something to show off, to pose, not to actually use. superficial
