This game is designed to be a massive dopamine rush for the early episodes to get players engaged in the game as well as learn the game’s mechanics and then it becomes EXTREMELY hard in the later episodes, with a break at episode 5 for fun
15:39 you actually CAN boomerang! If you kill an enemy with a deadly blow, than the knockback damage doesn't kill you, it stops at 1 HP. (In fact, the game used to have a glitch where, after the knockback, you could then wander around the map with 0 HP, and the music turned off. But it's been fixed. And the knockback after victory stops at 1 HP).
I think Tyler making his videos release late for many people helps his growth a lot- when ppl stay up to watch they’re likely to watch the whole video and/or fall asleep and watch a bunch of his other videos on autoplay
That's why you disable autoplay. So you don't waste a bunch of power playing videos when you fall asleep. Also, so you can peacefully choose a video to watch not having to click to cancel autoplay. That's what I think. But still, good thought =)
Isn't Bump able to turn a 6 into a 6 + 1, which can be Combat Rolled into something better? He spends a lot of bumps on like 2->3 or 3->4 for 2 dmg on Battle Axe when he could try for using the other Axe
Curse takes the dice with it, so he probably wanted to hold on to his 6s for max boomerang damage. Bump was mainly used to bait the curse with less useful die.
he was aware of the 6+1 thing (example: around 12:40), but as the other commenter said, bump was better used to bait curse, and the extra dice would just be a bonus
He had 2 Bump+. You can sacrifice 1 die to bait curse, then generate 2 more dice with the 2nd Bump+, and Combat roll them to be better. Now, this isn't the most consistent play, but on avg, the expected value of using an entire equipment that wouldn't have been used due to dice shortage is much higher.
@@Matsupitsu396 -- Bump is really good to double, because it's effect is (give [_] +1). If you double it, you spend *one* die and get *two* die+1. Spend a five, get a six, get another six. Spend a six, get a six plus one, get *another* six plus one.
Story time! I was playing warrior 3, the one where you have a small amount of health and start with a Venus flytrap. I was running a defensive build, where my only attack was the Venus flytrap. I was going against a loud bird, who has flight, that dodges an attack on an even. Needles to say, I got out a book and played the game on the side. I got to around 90 shield at least!
I honestly believe it is called "warrior" exactly because it's "simple": a no nonsense, straight to the essence of a deck builder, dice based roguelike. no mechanics, no expectation subversion, just straight forward RNG manipulation to mostly get the highest number possible on the dice
Woo! More Dicey Dungeons! I hope you do the whole game! I started playing it after watching your first few and it's such a gem. Somehow I like watching you play it just as much as playing it myself too lol
Thought you would want to know... In 20 minutes till dawn, an enemy can be set on fire and frozen at the same time. Game is very fun, thanks for showing it to me
15:45 I'm really happy this happened. when you realized you might actually lose you thought hard and realized almost everything id noticed you hadn't worked out yet. the final secret is your assumption that it's better for curse to take away bump. if you have more dice than equipment this makes sense, you don't mind throwing away the die but you would mind losing a damage dealing equipment. However, if you have damage equipment that isn't even getting used because of the die that you lose to the curse, it can make sense to use just the equipment that you want used. there's a 1/8 chance of using all three damage equipment without the curse going off, and using bulp over and over when you're just going to lose damage when the die disappears with curse didn't make much sense. ofc once you realized you can bump a 6 for a 6&1, the math on this gets a little fuzy. cursed bump on a 6 becomes 50% -1 die, 50% +1 die.
If you haven't yet I would check out the challenges, there are some that aren't that difficult but instead are very situational, like there is one that is easiest to do during this episode
am i the only one who thinks that this game could be a seriously cool card game? with actual dice and for a shop you just draw 3 random cards, maybe containing an upgrade, i would LOVE that
@Aliensrock U should try the Halloween version of this game with The mage! Its a little puzzle variant. Start filming from The first monster because Its an ‘set route’. Goodluck, The last One is really though!
Some builds you could have done was 4 midnight charms peashooter + first aid kit you could have also done 2 boomerangs 2 midnight charm and 2 first aid kits this run could have been cracked
Hi dude, do you mind me asking what GMT are you in? No reason at all besides my bad work time management. Nevertheless, thanks for the entertainment, it is always a pleasure to see an upload of yours
This was so much harder on console…. The curse didn’t reset after it went off for me. So EVERYTHING had a chance to fail even if curse already affected me. Weird bug I guess
I'm still curious why you're not going Bump to get 6 > 6+1 then rerolling the 1...? Does he know about this? xD (Edit) I'm more referring to when he has already triggered Curse so he is no longer under the Curse effect. (Edit2) 12:48 - Figures... xD the one time he would do it was when it triggered curse. Haha
I know it's unintentional but I'm going to admit I've been cheating. You can return to menu right as you die to return to when you are alive and it can help make some fights easier with new rolls. Yeah I'm bad
I found a video from 2 years ago, and there was a bear character that you got by using the bear potion as the thief in the alchemist fight, I would like to see you try getting it to see if it works. I also like the video and wish everyone a nice day
I Hope the devs after watching your vídeos, they think you are just really cleaver, because If they try to Nerf everything, only smart people like you can play rip
tyler clearly isnt very familiar with this game, level up rewards are only random for element based characters like witch and jester. there's item pools for each character showing what they can get in chests and shops and usually level up rewards are the same. which is how I can guarantee that if I'm tired I can just do my favorite builds, because the items will always be the same..
Dicey Dungeons is my favourite series you're doing right now but please play 20 minutes Till Dawn again. I just need to know it's possible to beat it, because I certainly can't 😂
I bought a copy after Tylers video and have completed it few times already. See the synergies list and just go for LMB and element synergies. I think its easiest to start with shotgun and 6 heath character. Bigger bullet size, bounce, piercing, DMG and you will become unstoppable. You van skip uogrades without synergies for the most part, pretty useless unless you want to mąkę a specific build ;)
@@TheEvenClan Thank you so much for the advice, I'll definitely tried it out. Have you tried duel machine guns with the lighting and fire upgrades? It shreds the first two bosses

An ultimately evolved life form, demonstrating mastery of all it attempts to accomplish. This will be truly terrifying to witness.

I'm glad Tyler is starting to notice the stuff like the notes coming from the upgrade hammer, cuz that's really what makes this game great

Didn't realize that this game would end up stressing me out. These harder matches don't mess around!
Oh yeah, it starts off easy but it gets cruel fast, because of course a Terry Cavanagh game does.
He is going to hate thief 2 or 3, I think 2, which is finders keepers
For real, he makes it look so easy. The robot took me like 3 or 4 runs to win
