    Hey everyone! Hope you are enjoying the CES coverage so far! Samsung videos coming soon! Then Sony! Then Hisense! Then TCL! Lot of details not being disclosed right now. And these events are a poor place to make subjective analysis, but I’m going to do what I can. I will say the QNED flagship looks better to me this year. But I won’t know how much better until it goes on the test bench. Lots to test this year!

      @Digital Trends +①⑧③②⑤④③⓪③③⑦. thank you CALEB maybe LG will give you a special price on that super size 97 inch G2 OLED tv. It looks like a dragon slayer of TV's. I guess they didn't want Sony to outshine them again this year in 2022. I heard they also have a heatsink to allow the TV to be about 30 percent brighter. And the tv is still thin that's amazing.

    Anything to enhance dialog volume is welcome since many movies tend to put an emphasis on the volume of the action and voices are almost like a whisper in comparison. Going from 1080p to 4K for me was something an upgrade for sure but honestly not enough to wow me. 8K is totally unnecessary in televisions.

    For me personally 8K is the opposite of futureproofing. By the time 8K get anywhere near being mainstream, you have most likely bought at least 1 new TV which makes 8K in a present one, redundant.
    Futureproofing is getting hold of what will work best overall for the longest period of time possible, and that will of course be 4K. As the QNED will show and overall more balanced view than OLED, that will be my next choice. OLED has some strengths for sure, but in the real world you won't notice this because you most likely will not be running a QNED and OLED TV side by side in your home. Over time I know at least I will quickly get used to and appreaciate a more balanced view from the QNED technology so my choice will be the 65" QNED91 to run with a PS5 as well. I'm also in the market for a new soundbar and will add in one of the LG one's to make sure this time around it will pair up with their TV so I can controll sound with the same remote(sick of the shitty little remote by JBL for their soundbar system).

    I have a cx 77". Really love that tv no doubt about that. But lets be real, none og lg's soundbars sound particular overwealming. And they rarely show up on top 10 soundbar systems. Even though i put mine on extra bass mode. Still sounds a little flat at lower volume. I enjoy the comparison videos better. This might as well be a paid commercial by LG

    • @scottivlow9962
      @scottivlow9962 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so great that you can compare an old LG products from New ones and have a biased opinion right off the bat. This is a thing about having new tech launches. That companies will make new and better tech products. For one this is why sound bars have adjustments so you can custom the sound level to your liking.
      I give LG a lot of credit because what LG really did was change the design of a regular sound bar. I honestly passed over a LG Home Theater because their old speakers were ugly looking. I'll wait on the price for it and Caleb to do review but I think this would work to include with my Sound bar.

    Hopefully they manage to sort the software/firmware issue of muddy underwhelming Atmos tracks on this version the sn11rg sounds pretty good on just about everything except for Atmos so I'll be waiting to see how this soundbar rates once it's released to the public and had been put through its paces beyond a demonstration but sounds promising

    LG will never let their QNED outshine or even come too close to rival their OLED. So you can't trust them to actually put effort into these TVs.
    Their whole presentation at CES was about their OLEDs, barely a mention about QNED..

    I won't happen in 2022 so I have to wait on Vizio if they will develope next year to match Samsung's QD-OLED and make their own QD-OLED Display.
    I hope they will be able to beat Samsung on price. I hope they can do it on a 50" but will move again if I have to. I think this the future because OLED has draw backs in especially in well lit rooms. If TV manufactures can put in a back light and remove the filter I think Samsung will have a superior display than OLED or Mini-LED. For Samsung to say they will stop making LED displays starting in 2022 that is going to be a huge game changer for TV's in the future.
    I can't wait until the Summer for you to get one for your own in house review.
    This will be so cool a hybrid LCD-OLED display because OLED TV's are way to high in cost and Vizio doesn't make 50" OLED TV. So it's a wait and see if a hybrid display will happen on midsize screens.
    Dennis I hope to hear your thoughts on this.

If you want to take advantage of the increased resolution you either have to get a humongous TV or you will have to sit ridiculously close to it. Sorry man, but better save that extra money.
