The " black leather" pair looks like the synthetic Birko-Flor model, as they come with the black buckle, and are a less rigid material. My black leather Birks , both the oily and the smooth leather, have a pewter colored buckle. Like you I would never intentionally get mine wet. I have a black EVA pair for those rare wet occasions . That last pair looks more like a collectible pair than a wearable one.

I was thinking about getting a pair of EVAs but I cannot buy anything else than the cork design because of the support and mold to your feet experience. Also you can get your Birkenstock’s wet, they just feel super weird on your feet and need to let them air dry properly.

Pretty sure it is pronounced E.V.A., which stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, which is a foam polymer. I only point this out because you said you wanted to be sponsored by them , and I believe you would stand a better chance at having that come true if you describe the shoes/sandals using the correct terms. freak29ful tbh everyones different, my normal size is 8.5 or 9 UK and i got the eva sandals in my size and in narrow fit and they were MASSIVE so instead i ordered a 7.5 UK size and they fit perfectly. id recommend just trying them on in store first

I got my cork Birkenstocks wet on the first day I got them and I mean soaked but there best kind
Getting them wet will not destroy them... I've been getting mine wet for years and they are fine. Just let them dry out if they getting soaked and put cork sealer on the outside exposed cork edges when it starts to wear thin. You can have these resoled. re-buckled, rebuilt for years to come and they last forever. That is , you can repair the leather/Birki Flore ones... the EVA sandals are probably disposable once they break down or wear out.

My Evas came in a few days ago and they are very comfortable and soles are pretty supportive too, Thumbs up !
Eh tbh the leather/cork mold to your feet and the Eva doesn’t; Id say Eva is good when it’s raining/beach/pool/around the house and the cork for everyday use
