As a woman unless you know that you have a wide foot I would try the medium/narrow. I wear medium/narrow and have a medium width foot. The wide does not work for me at all... too much room for my foot to slide around and the alignment for arch and heel cup doesn't work. Men have wider feet in general so wide works for most of them. Birkenstock has the widths in millimetres on their sizing chart. If you measure (a ruler with both cm and inches will work, just place your foot on there and use tape or something to mark the exact spot) you’ll know which one to buy. I thought the narrow would be right, but so glad I checked! Definitely needed the reg/wider one! You might find you’ve wider, but lower volume feet (which aren’t as full on the top of too high of an arch).

And Birkenstock has a new sole for the shoe very sweet I love this shoe, I would pay double the price if asked too my feet are that important to me, I see the shoe as cheap to buy!
I started wearing Birkenstocks about 25 years ago. I had a pair that look like the Arizona sandals. They were comfy! But I lost track of them, and now I can’t find them.😢 oh well, now for a pair of Bostons!
I would caution against going TTS! definitley try them on. I wear a 10.5-11 but had to go with 9-9.5 in the Bostons cause they run huge. Put a foot in one if at all possible before buying is my advice!
Watched this video a couple of days ago, but then I went on vacation, and they had a Birkenstocks outlet, and I just couldn’t help myself, and got a pair of Bostons, they look great, and now I’ve watched the video twice 😁
Birkenstock has a sizing chart on their size you can print out. Trace your foot and see how it lines up against the various width lines. If any part of your foot touches these lines or goes outside of it, you'll want regular/wide. Indeed, most people will not want narrow/medium. It can cause some major chaffing/blistering on the sides of your feet if the width is too narrow.
Great video. I love my Bostons. I have the oiled leather pair since I think they will age well and look even better with time. I’m still going to have to grab a suede pair. So clean.
I’m in the perfect position of being both a vegan and someone who has terrible circulation/chronically cold feet. Loving my boston’s and haven’t noticed my feet getting too hot! Breaking in well surprisingly for a non-leather shoe, also.
I tried several pairs of the Bostons. My first, the Vegan option, felt cheap and uncomfortable. Second came the black oily leather with original footbed. Upper qualiy was nice, but felt a bit more snug due to the thickness of the leather, and the original footbed did not work for me. Lastly ( for now) was the black smooth Almafi leather version, with the soft footbed. Finally...perfection,or as close as I expect to get .No complaints what's so ever. Now I'm considering a pair of the black suede with the soft footbed as my next pair.
If you love the soft footbed, stalk their site occasionally because they change which shoes have or don't have the soft footbed. I first bought that footbed in Paris shoes which were like a Mary Jane and T strap combined and they were heaven. They don't make that style anymore. My black ones have been resoled three times and are just about really falling apart, after twelve years and a whole lot of mileage. Right now I've got a pair of purple Bostons and some black Kay SL with the soft footbed. It's a no-break-in shoe.

Venture Capitalists Bernard Arnault and his peers have swooped in on the opportunity to reap off the masses once BIRK begins appreciating. The sandal is a personal favorite though.
I know of a Birkenstock shopper in Berlin that owned equity under L Chatterton that privately manages the now publicly listed BIRK. She asked me if I was interested in getting shares early so as to earn a carry when they float the company
Interesting. I would have swallowed up that offer. Are you fr? What do you do? Are there tools that allow investors to invest in companies before they hit the stock market, multiplying those potential gains that otherwise wouldn’t be available after the initial public offering.
I have used the same money manager for close to 10 years. We got in fairly early with a modest amount of money. Then it mushroomed like an atomic bomb. We had over 4 million dollars after GameStop profits in 2020/2021. Inflation has eaten away at the nest egg but we are lucky to have Loren look after it diligently like she has done the past 8 years.
Birk tips… first, the break in WILL HURT YOUR FEET… but it is worth it. Do it barefoot, the warmth of your feet helps the cork shape. First, just like my real Sorels (watch my videos!) treat your new leather uppers from the start with SNO-SEAL. This will soften the leather, and maintain it for a much longer life. It also helps waterproof the leather, but that is a moot point as the cork will break down if you wet them alot. The cork should be regularly treated (sealed) as well, use the “KELLY’s Cork Renew”. It seems similar to Elmer’s glue… but I can’t confirm that!! Heat the uppers with a hair dryer on low/med, and rub in the SnoSeal until it won’t absorb anymore. Done. Now go enjoy them!!
Great video bro. I have the soft suede maroon and yes, it is not a slip on! You have to bend and lift the upper to slip your feet in. But I have the soft bed and comfort grows as you wear them. I had a sandal in college and wore them out. Just make sure its a soft-bed, thats with the cork foot bed.
All great tips! You are right about the first time… insole is uncomfortable until it molds to your feet… thanks for making reference to the price difference
For the summer I prefer the normal sandals or slides like the Arizona or Kyoto models. Just make sure you choose the models with leather in the interior because they are much more comfortable to wear.
I’m a men’s 7.5 in nike. I got a pair of the 39 and 40s. The 40 is too big even though that’s supposed to be the 7.5. So I kept the 39 (which is like 6.5m)

I just purchased my first pair of Birkenstock at 55 years old 2 weeks ago. I use a mobility aid because of a chronic illness. Why did I wait so long 😢😢. I'm about to order two other styles.
With socks for sure! Not that into Bostons or Arizonas for that matter but really been liking how the Birkenstock Kyoto looks like, maybe I'll be picking those up for next summer 🤷🏼♂️ #pvv
Ive just had my boston sherlings delivered. I havent opened them yet but I bought 2 different sizes just to make sure. Delivery was a week from birkenstock so I bought both sizes. I'm normally a uk size 8 eu 42 but sizing is confusing. I plan to wear as house shoes like slippers. I bought some UGG tarmans but the sizing was way off and felt a bit cheap. Fingers crossed I love these birkenstocks I bought the pink ones they look so pretty.
First off, yerrrrr pvvvvv lol. I have just the normal clogs, they’ve broken in really well and are honestly my most worn shoe due to both how easy they are to slip on and the comfort. I also like how versatile they are i can wear them with sweat pants for more of a bummy look or with some like slacks and dress it up a bit and looks great either way.
The vegan options are less durable. With a synthetic sock liner, it’s less abrasive resistant than suede which means the heel will start wearing out quicker

I can slip on all my oiled leather ones, but the suede pair is so floppy I have to use a hand to put them on. Wasn’t trying to be critical - good video overall! You definitely want to try them on as I'm a size 9 UK (10US) in everything besides Doc Martens. I've got super wide feet and wear a size 41 in Birks (I'm usually a size 43 in EU)
Just got my first pair but the top of the 3rd and 4th toe are rubbing against the leather upper and I'm wondering if this is something that breaks in or do you think it's just not the right size? The length is perfect. Wanted to get your opinion before I committed to keeping these and breaking them in.
I just got the vegan bostons and I wore them all day and my feet hurt pretty bad. Mostly at my arch and I have like somewhat flat feet with small arch. I got the reagular wide btw. they do look good. I’m gonna keep trying to break them in I really hope they work out bc they’re very nice.
@@filipe-hb4yo so I still have them and wear the somewhat regularly and first of all they are very durable. The olive colored ones get dirty rather fast but they are very durable. Very happy to have found your video (I subscribed after the serenade as instructed, but also bc I'm Birk obsessed). So you gave us a bit to do, some questions to answer, and you mention some things that I wanted to say a word about. At this point I love the whole Birkenstock experience: I love getting new ones and I know what you mean about the massagey feeling of a new Birk. I have two pairs of Boston clogs, the very same Tobacco ones that you have and the "long hair" suede (as you called them). I wear the Tobacco less in an effort to keep them clean and pristine (they go well with a couple outfits I put together). I wear the brown ones far more often, I've had them over a year and I haven't experienced the floppiness or collapsing near the toe that you described, but they are definitely more pliable than the tobacco pair, which I thought was just bc I wear them less, but time will tell. I don't remember price differences between "shor hair" and "long hair" suede (could easily be wrong, but it looks to me like the difference is the soft footbed vs regular, Habana oiled leather clogs in the soft footbed are $15 more vs the regular footbed, same Habana oiled leather). The sock debate! I do both as well, and one of my secret joys is finding out that someone opposes one habit or the other and realizing that I've worn their pet peeve. It makes me a smaller person, I know, but I allow this pettiness in me bc it just doesn't matter. And a good pair of socks can make sandal and clog Birks a cold weather shoe! Also, I'm old so I don't care so much about the impression I make. I'll check out some of your other videos and I assume I'll see you holding the mic, but I liked how you had both hands to do the video, handle the shoes.
Also don't forget to maintain and use cork seal on your birks. You can also get them repaired and resoled at your local cobbler/ shoe repair stores.
Can you do this with the vegan Bostons?

We had over 4 million dollars after GameStop profits in 2020/2021. Inflation has eaten away at the nest egg but we are lucky to have Loren look after it diligently like she has done the past 8 years.
Wow that impressive, who is this Loren? You really are lucky.
Wow! wow! please is there any way to reach their services?
Dude… you are now my favorite product reviewer. Thank you. 🙏🏼 "put your foot... inside the cloooog"💀
😂
the ankle sock with the Birkenstock was killing me lol definitely with socks tho.
I’ve owned a pair of Bostons for many years. They been slowly dying and just got a new pair! So stoked to have a new pair to last another 2 decades
Wearing my pair as we speak! Happy holidays
Ive had my Boston Birks (the clogs) for 15+ years now
Birk tips… first, the break in WILL HURT YOUR FEET… but it is worth it.
My bostons have a felted wool upper. Liked the look of them on the dior models. Got them for about 60$ usd on sale.
- Legit amazing form fitting properties to the cork sole . I did not expect the comfort .
I have like 7 pairs of birks 2 are bostons. I want some black ones. I’m a little addicted. I cut hair and they save my legs and feet so much standing all day.
‼️‼️
@@DrewJoiner my first pair I got in like 2015 (Arizona) they still look good and are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have.
I feel like Drew has gotten weirder over the past year, but honestly, I love it! :D
😂😂
These demand socks in my opinion! :)
I choose no socks when wearing rubber/ EVA clogs like the Hydro Mocs, Sahele Crocs, Foam Runners etc
Drew always coming with the quality content
I just purchased my first pair of Birkenstock at 55 years old 2 weeks ago. I use a mobility aid because of a chronic illness. Why did I wait so long 😢😢. I'm about to order two other styles.
With socks for sure! Not that into Bostons or Arizonas for that matter but really been liking how the Birkenstock Kyoto looks like, maybe I'll be picking those up for next summer 🤷🏼♂️ #pvv
I just looked those up. Those are pretty cool! Did you buy them yet?
Pvv ⭐️
Sizing these are so hard. I got it wrong so many times. Each style is different.
did u go w/ the bigger or smaller size?:)
@@Filippaliv the smaller sizes worked for me.
@@Earthslittlesecrets Thank you!
The vegan options are less durable. With a synthetic sock liner, it’s less abrasive resistant than suede which means the heel will start wearing out quicker
Hey man I'm new to your channel and love it. I've been wearing Bostons for a long time. Love your page and style. Keep on doing what you do....Big fan.
Thanks Charles! I appreciate the kind words
Pokémon rug 🔥I just coped Boston Shearling
Suede Leather. Do you have any? I went TTS But I'm thinking I should have gone up because of fur inside,Thoughts,
supp drew, love the video, i think u should try birkenstoks sandals, also loved that pineco carpet! mutch love from portugal
Much love 😁
Those look so comfortable. I have birkenstocks sandals. I might have to purchase these clogs. I have waaay too many pairs of shoes
Thank you brotha I just copped the oil pair
Just got the Bold with the big buckle and the shearling. It’s an amazing shoe.
i went down a size and narrow cuz everyone said they fit big and now i have to do an exchange for regular width and my normal size .. wish i watched this before
I know this video is 2 years old but what did you guys end up picking up? Can’t decided between suede or oiled leather
I sized up because of a friend told me too and they feel great I hope I ain’t mess myself up
FYI, that clog you’re saying is suede isn’t, that is tobacco brown oiled leather.
Interesting, the darker brown version I have is also the oiled leather and has a totally different look and feel to the leather
@@DrewJoiner Definitely! I went on a Boston buying spree this spring and bought 3 pairs of oiled leather and 1 pair of suede. The tobacco brown is for sure softer and more pliable than the other colors of oiled leather, but the suede is definitely fuzzy and doesn’t keep its shape as much as the oiled leather. I can slip on all my oiled leather ones, but the suede pair is so floppy I have to use a hand to put them on.
Wasn’t trying to be critical - good video overall! Just pointing that out for potential buyers. Also, I think the tobacco brown is my favorite feel of all of them - super soft but not too floppy.
@@yehoshua77 exactly! The tobacco is very very nice! I know you weren’t throwing shade man! I appreciate you commenting haha just some dudes who love birks lmao
Love the way u explain and describe things 😂 definitely subscribing
This video was the “Sugar Honey Iced Tea.” Nailed this one again (nothing new for Drew What It Do 😜) and for sure it’s birks and sock or nothing. No other option for me personally
Sugar honey iced tea 😂
Hey bro where do you get your socks? Btw nice video it really helps me
Kapital (green) druthersnyc (grey) glad I could help
What socks are those? I’ve been looking for cozy socks to wear with my clogs 🫶
Which color?
@@DrewJoiner I really liked the green ones @ 5:21🤓
@@jorge4307 kapital socks
Bought my first pair of Birks a couple of weeks ago for my holiday in Corfu. They're the BEST purchase I've made in a while, finally a pair of shoes that don't merk my feet.
Wanted to get your opinion before I committed to keeping these and breaking them in.
loved the vid thinks for showing me where the rig was from on ig. Have to say made my day when i sore you replied
Of course 😁🤝
I just got the vegan bostons and I wore them all day and my feet hurt pretty bad. Mostly at my arch and I have like somewhat flat feet with small arch. I got the reagular wide btw. they do look good. I’m gonna keep trying to break them in I really hope they work out bc they’re very nice.
Any update? I’m really curious because I’m scared to wear mine again they hurt my feet so bad lol.
update?
@@filipe-hb4yo so I still have them and wear the somewhat regularly and first of all they are very durable. The olive colored ones get dirty rather fast but they are very durable. They don’t hurt my feet anymore tho, i do feel they they are true to size but id recommend getting half size up on the “vegan” edition if you plan to wear socks with them. Other than that they are pretty decent shoes just wish they didn’t attract so much dirt. P.s they are super easy to clean, just meet like a wet paper towel or something like that 👍
Definitely the Clogs with socks.
I’m a cripple and have to drag my souls of my Boston’s at time specially when I’m dirt dog tired. As they wear the soul down to nothing in a few weeks for me after buying dozens is the vegan brands Boston’s last longer.
I got the suede taupe ones and the upper flops a bit but I absolutely love them. I’m going to have to get a pair, im typically wearing these after work.
bruh where u get em? The taupe suede pair literally sold out everywhere in size 7-7.5
i think mine are to close to my skin tone
Does suede leather make you sweat in summer?
I am coming up on a year of wearing my Bostons and my only complaint is that I wish I could wear them in the rain
What are the yellowish socks? Is it kapital or another brand?
Kapital
Nice video! Is that oiled leather habana? What cream conditioner are you using?
Great video! Just bought some Boston Clogs!
Not a Drew Sunday upload but I will take a Thursday upload
Sunday upload incoming
which is the most versatile colourway did you suggest?
Not really comfortable wearing em without socks tho except the Arizona models.
Btw I bought the smooth leather version and it’s very hard to style, any tips?
I think I’m going to make an entire video on styling
Want to get a pair so badly but I’m not sure if it’s because they’re super popular right now or if because I actually like them. Would I wear them 3 years down the road ? I’m not sure
Living in Phoenix I have the stone colored Arizona’s. They been working good year around for the weather we get.
i just got this in my recommended and when i realized you were standing on a pineco rug i immediately hit subscribe lol im not even 3 mins into the video
haha I love it thank you
nice video, dont like the style but the birkenstock sole is the best ever
fire vid, love your rug
does it really have an allowance? or sizing must really fit your foot?
I would say it has a slight allowance
@@DrewJoiner thanks man i really appreciate it. always wear socks on it so it will fit thru. thanks for the response man. just got mine today
Great review Drew 👍
First off love the passion for birks haha, I can’t remember which model of birks flops down but I know some do. And 100% on your sock analysis 😂
i have my arizonas but i want to buy the boston in the future, they look very cool
Great video really helped me with my purchase 🤝🤝
I’m just gonna apply this to the Londonderry too then!
Yo Drew! Where do you get your socks?
I linked all the socks I could in the description
You the man!
I got the clogs as birthday gift - got a size 43 wide and have never been able to wear them. I wouldve pref a 42wide or 43narrow.
Return them
Can you make a video on how to style these please?
