    thank you for this video. it really helped me a lot. I’ve done a lot of research about rocd and ra and they always say to accept the feelings and thoughts or sensations but I always struggled with it. But this meditation really helped me accept and be mindful.

    Thank you so much for this. It was really enjoyable and eye opening for me, since from time to time I "forget" to stop trying to get rid of it and sitting with it instead. I will add this gem to my daily practice ❤ THANK YOU and to whomever is reading this and struggling: YOU👏🏽CAN👏🏽DO👏🏽THIS👏🏽. I could, YOU CAN. It's gonna be hard sometimes but aren't some days hard even for those who don't struggle with mental health issues? All days are different for everyone, remember that and I promise you it will help in those days when it becomes a little harder. WE GOT THIS!

    Hello, thank you for this meditation. I did enjoy it but think it could have been helpful to walk us through any physical discomfort a bit more. For me, sometimes the difficulty of sitting with feelings in my body that feel scary are what makes being in my head feel like the more comfortable option. I would have liked some acknowledgment that sitting with the feelings may be difficult and that this is normal and safe to stay with. Just my two cents. Thank you!

    Thank you for this. I am slowly learning to live with my OCD. Your insight on how we should just observe the compulsions, and how we are training to sit within the uncomfortableness has really helped me. Thank you. Peace and love.

    This was really helpful just now. I woke up with sudden anxiety with the thought of "I haven't found the love of my life because in my dream I said "I want to find the love of my life" which made me question my love for my partner and spiral into investigating the thought and feeling which I believe to be a irrational untrue thought. I don't know why this thought really came up which is why I started to try and pull it apart. After doing this meditation I feel more relaxed and less anxious giving me more room for positive thoughts to combat the negative. It's still difficult but I hope I am improving

    My anxiety got worse. When you said it should have alleviated, but mine had actually worsened, I then got even more distressed, as it made me think that this is not really ROCD and what I feel is real, which is my biggest fear. I’m really triggered and in tears 😭.

    • @MyOCDCoach
      @MyOCDCoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      What makes your anxiety worse are the compulsions, things, like ruminating, analyzing, checking, hyperfocusing, and many many more. When you stop compulsions, discomfort lowers.

    I’m doing your course and having a hard time not doing compulsions when I do ERP. I’m curious, am I doing ERP when I’m doing this meditation or do I need to be more focused on my specific thoughts for it to be ERP?

    • @MyOCDCoach
      @MyOCDCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Having a hard time not doing compulsions is very normal, and takes time. In order to not do a compulsion, you have to be willing to sit with and except the uncertainty. When you do this, the discomfort will fade over time, but you have to be willing to do it. Just continue to reduce compulsions overtime and he will feel better and better. They are a choice, it is uncomfortable, but allowing this discomfort will lead to recovery. If you’re listening to this meditation to get rid of the OCD, and it could be compulsive. Choose to do it any time it’s not for that reason.

    Do u think u could help a little? My ocd revolves a lot around comparing myself to other people and the "right way" to do things. I really enjoy meditation and found great benefit from this however I've seen some people on social media say they hate meditation and say it doesn't work for them which makes me paranoid that I'm not allowed to like it or get benefit from it. Can I keep doing meditation even if other people don't find benefit?

    I am always suspect about “life coaches” especially those that do videos from their bedrooms and kitchens. What are your credentials?! I just read a post from someone who said she is worse after watching this video. Everyone is an expert once they upload to social media. 😐

    • @MyOCDCoach
      @MyOCDCoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am a certified Life Coach, but that’s not. where my expertise comes from. I learned ERP from 4 ERP Specialists, applied it to my own recovery and got 80% better. After I started helping others, learn ERP to get better, I learned two very important things that got me to the full recovery stage.
      Because of this, people get quicker results and more long lasting results from my coaching and programs.
      Whether you’re a therapist or a regular person, we’re all just re-teaching what we have learned. It’s about the knowledge and skills, not about a degree, although I do have a degree in psychology. The results of my clients have speak for themselves, but everyone has the right to make the choice thats’s best for them:)
