I am in strong recovery from OCD but am in an attack ... slowly and painfully ignoring the compulsion to go over and over this one action. To hear her say that my brain is on a 'negative thought loop' helped me to understand the onslaught of negative thoughts and stories. Sometimes one lifeline will let me walk away from the OCD. I've found this to be true in my life and appreciate this meditation very much.
thank you, this comforted me during an ocd attack
Glad you found it helpful! The more you listen (outside of anxiety and OCD attacks), the more you train your brain not to be afraid of the uncertainty and the less anxiety you'll have.
Me too
i never comment, but thank you so much. this has helped me so much right now. i’m going to ride out this compulsion now, and surrender to the unknown. i don’t need answers or reassurance, i’ve got this. & so does everyone watching.
Good job!
I have tics that affect me every minute of the day that are caused by ocd, sitting listening to this i was crying because i finally felt a few minutes of peace for the first time in years, so thankyou. I have a strong attachment to my obsessive thoughts and i dont see how i can ever be of free of them, but you gave me a little bit of hope:)
You are like so many others, who don’t feel a lot of hope because you haven’t gotten the right treatment. Thank you so much for posting this, it’s great to know that it helps you. Please check out the link in the description of this video and check out my recovery programs. Recovery is possible!
My God... Me too. I often feel like I'm the only person in the world with this horrendous trait. It's been ruining my life. I'm so relieved to know that there are people like this out there too. I'm not the only one. I'm blessed to have found this channel and I'm going to take on this mental health issue seriously. Please let me know of any resources you've found helpful.
Im the same way!!! It really is a nightmare
My son is dealing with ocd and I'm looking for things like this video to help him. I'm crying, listening to this. I think it will really help. Thank you.
You’re welcome! I’ve worked with teens with OCD if he needs recovery help.
Do you have a website for your services, please?
@@happyhenri4313 I do, www.MyOCDCoach.com
Hows he doing?
This is very hard. My therapist has been telling me all these things for 3 years and it doesn't make sense to me or maybe I just don't see it. I rely on medication for 31 years and when I'm out, I have horrible intrusive thoughts then OCD kicks into overdrive. We are not our thoughts. We are in control.
I would love to talk to you. I’m 31 and also have this terrible problem . I hate it so much . I just had an awful dream and that’s why I’m here rn
@@johnreese6409 I'm here. You're not your dreams. You are in control of your own life. God is in total control. Nothing bad is going to happen. God is not going to let anything bad happen to His children. You are strong. You have time to stop all of this because you're young and have control. I'm a hard knock person and believe that anything is possible with Jesus. You've got the world by the butt and you are going to swing it by the equator and conquer the whole thing!! 🙏❤
Try Acceptance, accept whatever the thoughts say but don't fight them
I am starting to do this meditation every day and also an OCD workbook! thank you so much this has been helping to control my negative thoughts and to not let myself spiral!
You’re welcome!
How is it going now?
God Bless you All! Amen!
Thank you for this. I have developed a horrible compulsion recently where I deliberately think of the most disgusting thing possible in order to ‘test’ myself. It’s such a painful and unconstructive compulsion. This meditation helped me to re-centre myself and start again.
You’re welcome!!!
I suffer from ocd and anxiety and this has really helped me in not giving into an urge and just sitting with the uncomfortabity. Thank you 💙💙
@@npom123 you’re welcome!!
I really think everything in this video is close to perfection, the soothing sound of your voice , the perfectly 🥰 chosen visuals , everything...
Thanks!!
Thank you. I've been dealing with OCD for most of my life. The only time I felt a little relief is when I was hospitalized (not related to OCD), but it felt like I was at peace for a little bit😞. I feel most bad for my friends and family that have to see me like this
Thank you I'm a lesbian with OCD whose impulsive thought is to try once with a guy because I never did and don't know what it feels like my brain tells,me to just do it once and the thought is so uncomfy but I always engage in these what if thoughts and this helped to calm this thought atleast a bit I hope this will help me❤
Recently found out i had ocd i was shocked and thinking about made it worse and im also just in my teens so listening to this helped a lot thank you so much❤
You’re welcome! Lifetime recovery is possible!!

You are welcome! When we learn what to do differently with those negative thoughts, depression, and anxiety can fade over time.

God bless you 🙏 this really helps ty ❤️🙏 you have a new subscriber
I'm glad it's helped!
Thank you for the video very helpful. I've come a long way in the last couple of years and have controlled my OCD with meditation practices. Sometimes I and the negative thinking loop begins again. I wish there were no commercials during the mediatation it is a bit disruptive.
There isn’t supposed to be ads on my meditations. I’ve reached out to them about it, as it shows no ads on my end.
God Bless you All! Amen!
thank you so so much. I listen and watch so many of your videos, for almost a year i’ve been struggling so bad with ocd. but with your videos and the right medication i finally feel like i’m on the right path to being ocd free. Thank you thank you thank you💕
You’re welcome!
Thanks from heart for this so much helpfull video
Thank you for the beautiful video clips of nature. I had a touch time turing off a worry and indecision loop in my brain while listening. The motivational aspect helped me. Thank you for helping people like me, your efforts are appreciated.
You’re welcome!
Hello Danielle my name is Joseph and I gotta say! So far this has helped me by at least 90%! I’m going to get into the routine of doing this in my free time to get better at this! Thank you for the upload!
Your welcome, glad it’s helped! Who better to help you overcome OCD than someone (me) who’s done it themselves? 😊
Yeah exactly who would have?
Plus I’m glad this helped too!
Very helpful thanks ❤
Thank you
this help relax the mind
I really love listening to this video when i’m stressed out but i don’t love the ads😬
Like I’ve said, previously, this is not set up to have ads, and I don’t know why they are on their period. I haven’t been able to get them removed.
Excellent, thank you, God bless
💗
Thank you so much for this! I have tics and the things you were saying were really helpful to hear!
I was wondering if you could maybe make a meditation for tics specifically? A lot of the things you were saying really helped and this was the first meditation video i could find that kind of dives into that with compulsions
@@thaliakabbani I will add that to the list!
@@MyOCDCoach omg yayy
Immediately helps when i just turn this on
So glad!!
Found this so helpful. Thank you 🙏🏼
I got annoyed when an ad came up while I was at 11 minutes. That should be illegal😢. Anyways I will continue to do my guided meditation.
There should be no ads on this
Wow
🖤🖤
This is great thanks so much, ive recently been diagnosed but im still struggling to figure out if its actually OCD or am i just really sick. Im sick of everything ive had no life the past 4 years. I vomit and get severely nauseated when i get extremely anxious and the only way to stop getting sick is showers. Im so so exhausted mentally and psychically
trust your diagnosis, OCD is nicknamed "the doubting disease for a reason." Also, trying to figure out if your obsession is true or not is another compulsion.
Your videos are so helpful! I have cheating OCD and I’ve been having trouble with the back door spike - if I don’t feel upset by the thought then I have to explain to myself why it’s okay not to feel upset by it or else I end up very anxious and start doing my more physical compulsions (reassurance seeking and confessing). Once I do explain it to myself I end up ruminating. Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this?
Allow yourself not to be upset or anxious. Or take one of my programs to get to the recovery stage if needed:)
Can you explain more? I feel like we have a really similar situation
@@CicoinTokyo777 I just started ERP therapy, and my therapist said that for ROCD it's usually better to say "maybe that's true" to the thoughts, rather than saying "maybe, maybe not" - I've found that really helps to stop the rumination (so far at least)
I fear i will cheat its really debilitating
I have intrusive ocd thought, the thought is i am always use slung language with my loved one,my mind always whispering and murmuring negetive language about my bf and his family, and that's why i always check text msg,and this doubt make me obsessed i am totally anxious about my mental health..will it recover?? please reply
❤❤❤❤❤
Love this meditation! Shame there is an add half way through can it be removed or put at the start?
I've tried! I turn ads OFF on all my videos and TH-cam hasn't responded:(
I feel lost... but I don't want to take away that discomfort with brooding. But I wonder: if we indulged so much (and I'm also talking about behavioral addictions, such as pornography or eating to relieve discomfort), does that mean we were in survival mode? So we savor that discomfort, even if we feel lost (because we no longer control our thoughts and we no longer remove the sensations)... But I hope that feeling lost doesn't mean that we really could have done better. I know that as you told me Danielle, the way is to accept ourselves as we are and accept imperfection and uncertainty, but wow how much pain and suffering we have accumulated on ourselves. I don't know how I survived for so many years like this, I hope I was strong. Even though sometimes I feel so stupid and wrong and useless... Has it happened to you too, Danielle, to feel this way along the way?
Thank you very much, I think this is the best meditation I have ever listened to on obsessive compulsive disorder!!
Learning how to deal with your feelings take time and practice. We need to allow and accept it, but not give it attention (unless there is a good reason to, like a loss or real-life situation that needs to be addressed. Working with a Specialist like myself or someone else can help you determine what needs to be addressed and what needs to be left alone.
I appreciate you so much
Do you know what to do if throughout the day these negative thoughts manifest as pain in your chest? Is that common? I get the urge to not do anything physically but fight the thought or pray it doesn't come true
Those are compulsions and you have to identity and stop all of them.
@@MyOCDCoach this is news to me wow. I was seeing an ocd therapist recently who helped me a lot but I don't think I was able to fully address some of the "mental" compulsions that take place for me
@@dreamylove4196 that is super common. Most therapist do not help you identify all your compulsions and bring them to zero. That is going to limit your recovery, which is why I do those things in my programs in with my clients.
I am having intrusive thoughts that tell me that not doing anything about my urges is a compulsion, is this true? I’m genuinely curious since it’s hard for me to tell.
Compulsions are the things you do to "get rid of the discomfort" or to "gain certainty." This sounds more like OCD trying to convince you to do compulsions.
I am very tensed in front of othsmers. Can i stay positive always and achieve greats in life. Is it possible to stay positive akways and achieve greats in life. I does a lots of activitieslike meditation, exercise, listens to music, dsnces, cycles, goes for walking, watchesmovies, short films, stsnd up comedies, writes poems, articles etc. I want to stay positive always and secure a job. I attends interviews and prepares for psc exsms. I loves to attend public gathetings, goes for shopping etc
Of course, you just have to learn what to do with those negative thoughts that hold you back. Are there intrusive thoughts that cause anxiety or discomfort, you need to learn ERP. I if they are negative thoughts in general or cause sadness and hopelessness, CBT techniques will help.
if do this meditation continious 20 days can i recover the problem of ocd
Not likely, this meditation alone probably won’t get you to the recovery stage. It will definitely help though! My programs are designed to get you to the recovery stage if you want to check them out - www.MyOCDCoach.com
GOOD BUT THE AD IS NOT VALID IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS TYPE OF VIDEO .
Seeking for help
You can find my recovery programs and courses at www.MyOCDCoach.com.
How do I accept uncertainty what do I need to do ??
Learning ERP will teach you exactly how to do this! I have several program options at www.MyOCDCoach.com.
I get so stuck in thoughts. I have a hard time making decisions. I cant read, or watch a video, without stopping. Its painful...What do i do???!
Going through one of my recovery programs would help you greatly. It sounds like you’re giving your thoughts meaning, which you don’t have to.
@MyOCDCoach Can I use a coupon code please?
Why write the urge down?
Dies this work for sexusl ocd too
Yes
The meditation is good, but the video have to many ads
I know...it's not supposed to have ads (I turned them off) but they're happening anyway. Contacted TH-cam but no solution:/ Check out my other meditations...no ads on those!
Thank you. It was good until the ad 11min into the meditation.
Delayed gratification

The music is too loud. I wish I could listen to this but the music is louder than the words. Advertisements also interrupt this video. It’s so startling
✨✨✨😑🙏🏻✨✨✨
3 ads throughout ;(
Thanks, this isn't set up to have ads...I'll contact TH-cam on this!
there is a ad literally 11 mins in, at least place one beginning and end then ask people to listen to them that way you still monetise your efforts. thank you
Ads should not be on there. Not sure why they are. YT has changed something beyond my control.
@@MyOCDCoach Thank you so much for removing the ads, I seriously appreciate it 🙏
Ruined by ad
This is supposed to be OCD treatment why is she bringing in "substance abuse" into this? it doesn't make any sence. Some people need to take substances that doctor prescribes to them for a medical condition.
I think I should stop smoking weed
