Yeah, I’ve had a few of the old Lionel engines & almost all of them had issues with the E-units. Except for the 2 I bought that seem to have been recently rebuilt or have been taken care of. Mainly my 2037 & 671RR that was rebuilt/serviced/new smoke pad, brushes & serviced E-unit.
The Lionel e unit is difficult since there are so many places on each side that must lined up when it is clicked together and you must also make sure the geared tooth is facing correctly. I used to repair them but now I prefer to by one already rebuilt.
Yes. I think it was trainz. I believe I have a boiler front somewhere in my mess but am at a loss as to just where to look which means that it is likely in obvious sight. I will have to ask St. Anthony for his help - the patron saint who finds lost objects. Thanks for watching.
Great find on the Bay john and Trina is a very good place to buy from you can alwayys trust what you get from them to be just what as they listed it. Those 333's are my favorite Marx steam engines. Kool video my friend, "Happy Rails" GMan
Those are real nice. I wish people would not let the tenders get lost or separated from the engine. I have a few I need to get tenders for also. I like to collect knives also. Not to often. Mainly pocket knives. Have you seen Eric's Trains use his different knives to do unboxings?
Really great collection you got. eBay is always a gamble, but when it pays off, it pays off big. P.S. Any thoughts on case pocket knives :) Thanks, Heath
My favorite is the hobo knife which splits into a fork and knife or some such thing . I got it years ago along with the long bladed guide knife. However, the one I used in the video is just great.
Yeah, if you watch EBay you can find some deals, I got a Lionel 2025 & 2037 both for $50 each & the 2037 ran fine without any lube, had a wobbly front driver wheel & straightened it out the best I could. The 2025 ran well too, the only keeping it from running was that someone used an over length rivet for the spring for the rear wheels & it touched the center rail & shorted the track. Removed that & she was running well. It has the original Baldwin Drivers, tender needs a little help, but it’s a pretty good runner.
Awesome score John, glad they all ran right out the box 🚂🚃🚃 Can't wait to see what you got going on next!
Thanks for the support and encouragement you give during these strange times. We all need to stand together.

Nice haul!
John, looks like you did good. I have bought trains from Trans. They're good to deal with.

Nice vid, I believe the knife is the Stockman.

Yes, Eric's trains is where I got the idea. I am looking through my stuff for tenders with some success.
