@@joji9986 noise modifier doesnt have levels. You wont get same result. Its kinda close but its uglier, IMO. Tried for hours here with noise modifier and it didnt work out for me :(

@@ArchVizArtist but you are teaching people that it is needed. Most of your viewers dont need to animate flamingos and high poly eats their limited resources. Keep up the great work.
@@ArchVizArtist when you do a tutorial and you tell people to use subdivide on a simple plane to get dense mesh, people are gonna do it every time. Thats how tutorials work. This is just a friendly observation. Dont get angry.
@@hldemi she is 100% correct in her approach, she did not use Corona displacement, she used normal displacement, ergo the reason for the increase in mesh. If you notice this way the actual mesh changes shape before she renders. You are correct if you use Corona displacement then yes , no need for subdivision : ) Hopes this clears it.
Got confused at the slate material editor part. I followed exactly and I haven't got the material box there to plug into a noise one. I can get the noise box there but no the material. When I tried dragging from the sample slots (the one applied to the plate) it comes up a red and blue version with no diffuse colour option to plug into??
@@ArchVizArtist It wasn't fun at all and the VCM engine in Renderman dedicated for caustics calculates this for sooo loooong time. But I'm not Pixar with renderfarm so I'm not suppose to use it hah. For my taste, Corona produces the best looking caustics out there.
Congratulations for the tutorial! Could you clear me a doubt, I did exactly as you described, however, when I put the noise map on the displace map, the noise in the water does not appear, do you know what it could be?
Sadly vray GPU doesn't include caustics...I need to mix the render ( GPU based) with the caustics render element in post. Very helpful tutorial. Keep it up
one of the best water configs i have seen.
Surely!
This is so absolutely stunning totorial for corona newbies!. Always appreciated your video
Wow, I followed step by step and this is genius!
Great result!
Thank you! Cheers!
amazing thank you it makes a whole a lot of difference to how the light even reflected in the whole scene
Glad you like it ;)

I will think about it :)
@@ArchVizArtist please!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm watching your all videos and learning more as well as and now I'm propperly render my projects
Wow, very cool! Anyone know if there are any papers on how the caustics solver was implemented in Corona?
I just found your TH-cam page and it's really unique
wow!!! best tutorial ever... very atractive way to teach... Nice work AVA
Amazing tutorial and scene. Could you make this same exercise on V-Ray? Please Please Please :)
How did you get the really good sunlight ? like on the flamingo - please teach !! sun tutorial for perfect daylight!!

I was born very early. 😁
Heheh, thanks for sharing! Now it's more easy ;)
Really great inspiration.. iam loving to following your tutorial 💯.. Thank u
Great tips! Thanks
YOU ARE AWASOME!!!!
BEFORE USING THE NOISE MAP, HOW DID YOU GET THE CORONA MATERIAL ON THE SLATE?
Thank you guys so much! You guys have been lifesavers!
Our pleasure!
for those who using v ray just uncheck (affect shadow) in water refraction material, and check caustics in render setting tab > GI
thanks Ava, thanks for your effort to teach as something without any expectation except like button :)
You're very welcome!
Best tutorial on caustics! Thank you so much!!
You're very welcome!
Thank you for the amazing tutorial !
You did a great job, subscribed.
Amazing Video!!!!, can i know where i can get the flamingo?
it's realy nice tutorial,.good work!!
nice tutorial, thank you
Thanks Ava u re very helpful very thanks
Uhh are amazing i love to watch your tutorials 💯
Thank you so much 😀
can i add just one "small hint"?
you dont need to subdivide or displace the surface, you can simply use that same map on bump and it works fine ;)
Good hint , another one: just use the noise modifier directly in edit Poly
@@joji9986 noise modifier doesnt have levels. You wont get same result. Its kinda close but its uglier, IMO. Tried for hours here with noise modifier and it didnt work out for me :(
Thanks Ava, can you show how you get corona interactive render in your mouse click?
Thank You so much , this is the best swimming pool tutorial
Thank you!

I dont think subdividing the surface plane is needed. Corona displacement map does not need it.
There is always more than on method of doing things, I needed geometry to animate flamingo (intro animation) and I don't care about poly count.
@@ArchVizArtist but you are teaching people that it is needed. Most of your viewers dont need to animate flamingos and high poly eats their limited resources. Keep up the great work.
Watch carefully, I haven't said it the only way and it's needed. What's your problem? You can use your methods, I'm ok with that.

Is it nessesary to make water surface bumbed by displace modifier rather than normal bump material?
thank you!
Thank you for the lesson! Also thanks for using my 3d model flamingo
Thanks, great model!
Can I get the Flamingo model? please
thank you, i am very grateful to you
Awesome!!
Thank you! Cheers!
MUito legal!!!! Tentei do modo direto no slot, mas colocar o noise direto no objeto foi o que me ajudou. Muito Obrigado!!!!
Really help, thank you👍🏽🙏🏽
Awesome tutorial! ...but I everything do like in the tutorial, but can`t get caustics.... I don know why, but caustics disappears (
Great tutorial, I just discover today your channel and already sub!

Hi, I can't see the preview of the noise map when I open VFB... can someone help me out? Thanks
how we can clear the caustic reflected to another object?
you should also change the refraction index to 1.33 - the correct value for water, not the poly-carbonate default value . Corona it's a PBR, no? :P
Exactly. School girl error on her part!
and why she did to make Volumetric for plane?! This only for volume object! (box and e t c)
This tutorial is perfect. Obrigado.
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You are so welcome!
Very nice tutorial, I would love to see it on Vray too thak you

Hello Ava,
Thanks for great tutorials.
Bu I have one problem. In close views you can see triangular pool face. What should I do? Subdivide more or?
