@@joji9986 noise modifier doesnt have levels. You wont get same result. Its kinda close but its uglier, IMO. Tried for hours here with noise modifier and it didnt work out for me :(
nice tut, I am a problem with plane geometry, view the triangolation after subdivide modificator and other thing, after change color in SSS the plane view contiune to see in grey, why that? thanks
@@ArchVizArtist It wasn't fun at all and the VCM engine in Renderman dedicated for caustics calculates this for sooo loooong time. But I'm not Pixar with renderfarm so I'm not suppose to use it hah. For my taste, Corona produces the best looking caustics out there.
your tutorials are a GOD SEND i love them and the way you explain everything ! BUT would it be too much trouble to show corona AND vray settings i get that its double the work but it would be really helpful for vray people that are enjoying your content i bet we are just as many as the corona dudes and dudets
Sadly vray GPU doesn't include caustics...I need to mix the render ( GPU based) with the caustics render element in post. Very helpful tutorial. Keep it up
Nice, but I in a real scene with more environment, not just a pool, caustics are harder to clean up, the amount of passes required can sky rocket. Corona really needs an option to disable caustics per object. Never the less nice tut, your doing a great job. Are you the one that use to do Affinity photo tuts?
Got confused at the slate material editor part. I followed exactly and I haven't got the material box there to plug into a noise one. I can get the noise box there but no the material. When I tried dragging from the sample slots (the one applied to the plate) it comes up a red and blue version with no diffuse colour option to plug into??
@@ArchVizArtist but you are teaching people that it is needed. Most of your viewers dont need to animate flamingos and high poly eats their limited resources. Keep up the great work.
@@ArchVizArtist when you do a tutorial and you tell people to use subdivide on a simple plane to get dense mesh, people are gonna do it every time. Thats how tutorials work. This is just a friendly observation. Dont get angry.
@@hldemi she is 100% correct in her approach, she did not use Corona displacement, she used normal displacement, ergo the reason for the increase in mesh. If you notice this way the actual mesh changes shape before she renders. You are correct if you use Corona displacement then yes , no need for subdivision : ) Hopes this clears it.
one of the best water configs i have seen.
Surely!
This is so absolutely stunning totorial for corona newbies!. Always appreciated your video
Great result!
Thank you! Cheers!
ALWAYS GIVING VERY GOOD TUTORIAL , GOOD WORK MADAM
amazing thank you it makes a whole a lot of difference to how the light even reflected in the whole scene
Glad you like it ;)

Wow! What a diamond girl! Greetings from Ukraine! I love your tutorials ❤❤❤
I'm watching your all videos and learning more as well as and now I'm propperly render my projects
for those who using v ray just uncheck (affect shadow) in water refraction material, and check caustics in render setting tab > GI
amazing really amazing 🥳👍👍👍
when i started using 3D studio max ( 3dstudio max v1.2 1997) ,
that was impossible...
I was born very early. 😁

Amazing tutorial and scene. Could you make this same exercise on V-Ray? Please Please Please :)
YOU ARE AWASOME!!!!
Wow, very cool! Anyone know if there are any papers on how the caustics solver was implemented in Corona?
How did you get the really good sunlight ? like on the flamingo - please teach !! sun tutorial for perfect daylight!!

You're very welcome!
Thank you guys so much! You guys have been lifesavers!
Our pleasure!
MUito legal!!!! Tentei do modo direto no slot, mas colocar o noise direto no objeto foi o que me ajudou. Muito Obrigado!!!!
Really great inspiration.. iam loving to following your tutorial 💯.. Thank u

Thank you for the amazing tutorial !
This tutorial is perfect. Obrigado.
Thanks so nice tutorial keep going
BEFORE USING THE NOISE MAP, HOW DID YOU GET THE CORONA MATERIAL ON THE SLATE?
it's realy nice tutorial,.good work!!
Thank you for the lesson! Also thanks for using my 3d model flamingo
Thanks, great model!
Can I get the Flamingo model? please
Thanks Arch Viz Artist
can i add just one "small hint"?
you dont need to subdivide or displace the surface, you can simply use that same map on bump and it works fine ;)
Good hint , another one: just use the noise modifier directly in edit Poly
@@joji9986 noise modifier doesnt have levels. You wont get same result. Its kinda close but its uglier, IMO. Tried for hours here with noise modifier and it didnt work out for me :(

Is it nessesary to make water surface bumbed by displace modifier rather than normal bump material?
Awesome tutorial! ...but I everything do like in the tutorial, but can`t get caustics.... I don know why, but caustics disappears (

I'm lighting my scene with a hdri, is there a corona sun "enable caustics" i can use in the hdri settings?
when i render it in another pov, por example looking to the horizon, the caustics stop looking like this, and look very dark and bad.
Great! Keep it up please!
Thank you.
Why doesn't my water color appear after changing absorption color? I do everything step by step according to this lesson 🤔

You can disable it by material, so just use different material for object you want to disable. I'm not the one :)
@@ArchVizArtist yes disabling it in the material is for transparent caustics, a diffuse material will still receive bounced reflected caustics

what is the function of level in noise map?
Hello, can you help me with water simulation(LOOP) for phoenix in 3Ds max.
I dont think subdividing the surface plane is needed. Corona displacement map does not need it.
There is always more than on method of doing things, I needed geometry to animate flamingo (intro animation) and I don't care about poly count.
@@ArchVizArtist but you are teaching people that it is needed. Most of your viewers dont need to animate flamingos and high poly eats their limited resources. Keep up the great work.
Watch carefully, I haven't said it the only way and it's needed. What's your problem? You can use your methods, I'm ok with that.
