ec30607 that’s great glad you liked the video. I’m going to do another one that lists all the general tools and accessories we purchased. Not specific to the Jayco.
Sounds good. I’ve already discovered that we’re going to need some kind of hubcap remover tool in order to get the “wheel simulators” off. One of them on our front wheel is mounted off center for the tire valve and I will need to remove it and realign it.
Looking for my first RV, and the Greyhawk 26y is my top choice. Of course I'm poking through youtube vids on the greyhawk and I run across a fellow jet ski peep! LOL Great tips! Thanks for taking the time. -Your newest subscriber, Ronny McHenry (RonnyMac)
Ryan, Never mind about where the links are. I read your response to Ray and hit the show more button. Thanks again for the info. I am out door guy and will be hitting the road a lot in the future. Maybe we will touch base someday.
Awesome Video! You have covered great things. I have a 2016 Redhawk with bunks also. Have you done anything wrt the steering stabilizer and improved bumper stops to help with better control sway?
We just bought a used FS31. It only had 4,300 miles on it! Got a great deal on it. Thank you for all the tips and info! Ours doesn't have auto levelers. Our pull-behind that was rear ended has heavy duty manual ones that I put on it. Do you think they would work for this motorhome?
Congratulations! I wouldn’t recommend manual on a class C. Much heavier and not sure it would lift it. But I don’t know what the manual ones are rated at. You can get automatic ones installed.
Awesome video! We recently got a 2017 Jayco Greyhawk we love it so far! Also I was curious if the chairs in the front are able to swivel? We haven’t figured that out yet
Hello, I just purchased a 2016 Greyhawk. I am going to incorporate your tips. As a commercial driver I do a lot of my own work. I am new to using TH-cam. When you say click on the link or discription. Where is that? I hit the down arrow but did not see any link or discription. Like I said I am new to this. Where did you get the screens to keep out bugs/insects? Thanks for the info.
4x4 conversation from u joint works awesome....but it's 30k installed with winch and bumper.....you can go 17k and do it your self....works great for sand dunes camping and launching jet skis on sandy and muddy shorelines....
WEB yes I have looked at them. They quoted me $20k starting. Also 5mpg once done. To me it’s not worth it. Do just fine without 4x4. We use our quad or RZR with beach carts for launching the skis no problem.
@@sfe yeah we used to do all that too, then realized less time loading and unloadind and dealing with multiple toys and equipment ment less trips because of everything involved..We go 52 times a year now, every weekend to before about 35 to 40 times a year..because of just getting rid of the toyhaulers and in closed trailers.....we get 7.6 miles per gallon with banks exaust with power tuner for gas mileage at 65 mph...me and my crew started racing jet skis and dirt bikes in the early nineties for 25 years....we all gave up the enclosed trailers went 4x4 motorhome with open trailers.....are experience is warranted and is ONLY opinion baced on our experience and were we go. Mud dirt sand water whatever.....who cares what I think it's only a perspective and my wife loves your videos and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences.....
No and I haven’t ever seen any that do. We have had two blowouts in our travels and just had a service truck come. I have a tire now and need a rim. Going to try and mount it underneath somewhere. Seen it done.
Richard Koch haven’t tried yet. But I did peak a factory sticker off and it did peak some of the wall off. It didn’t on some of the others so you have to be careful.
Picking up my 2018 Greyhawk 31FS this weekend! Great video. Have you given any thought to mounting a spare tire under the rv? I know you tow so a rear hitch would not work for you.
Pete Hatzakos I have thought about a spare but not underneath. I have seen some mounted tight against the back above the bumper. Easily fabricated. I’ll have to look under it and see. Not a bad idea if space allows it.
I have a 26y 2020 greyhawk. My fridge keeps opening on right hand curves. I can't find any aftermarket latches for this type of frig, Should I just use Velcro or has anyone else found one for this model.
No still just one battery for coach. Our original lasted just over a year. I would like to go 2 6volt AGM or Lithium. We are going to add solar 1st since we boondocks so much.
Ryan Scheller We have a 30X. Just bought one LifeBlue 200AH Lithium battery and it fits perfect in the battery tray underneath the steps, just had to remove the separator in the middle. This battery is a game changer.
Drummergirl 9 yes still loving it. It will be one year in November. Still need to get alignment done which they all pretty much need. Jayco will reimburse for that. But everything else has been good. I’ll have another video comin soon with what all I carry for tools and accessories.
Did you install the tire valve extenders yourself? How difficult is the install? We have a new Greyhawk 30X. I was surprised the extenders were not installed at Jayco.
That’s a bummer. Sorry to hear that. Ours is still doing great and we use it 1-2 times a month. We bought ours in November 2017. Lots of RVs made after Covid were made much cheaper and faster. Quality went down after Covid I feel like. We are looking at Senecas and I would only get a 2020 or older at this point.
Did the heavy floor mats help with heat and noise? ALSO: Have you considered doing a solar install? We're looking at Greyhawks/Odysseys and will go solar. Thinking 480 watts in panels on the roof, 4 AGM batts. maybe sacrificing cabinet space under the sink.
We will be picking up our 2021 Jayco Redhawk 29xk later this month, great ideas thanks

Thanks for this review and for the links! Very helpful! I purchased most of the items you listed for our 2019 Greyhawk!

Ronny McHenry thanks for watching! I have a few more planned to film if I can find the time.

You’re welcome!
Great unique tips!

Thank you!
Yes we did upgrade the front sway bar and did safe-t-plus steering stabilizer. I have a video about it you can check out on our channel.
Doesn’t all passengers have to have a seatbelt on while the coach is in motion instead of in a bunk?
Former Aide I don’t believe so.
Only if you riding in the cab but not in the coach
Can you please answer the question on the size of the step carpet, amazon has 2 sizes and my 31 fs is in storage
Here is the link to the one we got. amzn.to/3crBwwG
@@sfe i was talking about the ones you have on the steps, thank you for replying. Amazon is showing 2 different sizes

Thank you I appreciate it. Mine looks just like yours 2019 31fs. Sitting in storage waiting for winter to end in ohio. Thanks again for the info
I have another video coming soon of all our must haves. All the tools and stuff. Make sure and subscribe.

Hi, is your 2021 Jayco GreyHawk considered a mini motorhome, and if so, did the rear hubcaps come standard with it?
It’s a 2017 and considered a class C Rv

WEB what region and class did you race? My family raced in the early 80s and I started racing in 1990-1995.
Hello
Do you live in an area that requires water system winterized and if so do you do it yourself and have you done a video on it unit?
We do get snow a couple times a year. I just drain everything including the water heater.
Question I just bought a 2021 Greyhawk. My question in did your RV come with a spare tire? Thank you in advance for anyone’s response.
No and I haven’t ever seen any that do. We have had two blowouts in our travels and just had a service truck come. I have a tire now and need a rim. Going to try and mount it underneath somewhere. Seen it done.
Good video bro! Do you still have this Class C?
Yes still have it and love it
Did you install the TV in the master? If so what mount did you use? I’d like to add that to our 2020 Redhawk - thanks!
It came like that from factory
Do the Command Strips come back off without hurting the "wall paper" Thanks!!! Great vid and tips!
Richard Koch haven’t tried yet. But I did peak a factory sticker off and it did peak some of the wall off. It didn’t on some of the others so you have to be careful.
We are getting this exact RV in a few weeks and are also headed to Pismo. What size step rug did you order?
Here is the link to the one we have. amzn.to/3crBwwG

I would check with a Jayco parts retailer to see if you can get a replacement lock for it. I’m sure a Velcro strap would work also.
Great Video, was wondering if you added a secondly battery? and if so where were you able to fit it??
No still just one battery for coach. Our original lasted just over a year. I would like to go 2 6volt AGM or Lithium. We are going to add solar 1st since we boondocks so much.
We have solar, but still would be nice to have an additional battery, just not sure were to put it.
Ryan Scheller We have a 30X. Just bought one LifeBlue 200AH Lithium battery and it fits perfect in the battery tray underneath the steps, just had to remove the separator in the middle. This battery is a game changer.
We are looking at Jayco C classes now. Are you still happy with yours now in October? thanks for the heads up on everything!!!

Did you install the tire valve extenders yourself? How difficult is the install? We have a new Greyhawk 30X. I was surprised the extenders were not installed at Jayco.
Very easy to install once chrome hub ring is removed.
What tools did you use to remove the hub rings? Did you install an extender on the front wheels?
Rodney Stewart just installed on back. They make a tool to pop them off. Or you can use a large flat head but be careful
Ryan i don't see your links for the kit maker and model number for your extenders, and the one for your screen door mod. what ones did you get?
Ray Rexford the screen door mod is in the list of items in description. Extenders?
Ray Rexford screen door mod is 10th item down in list
thanks i didn't see the small word "more"..... that expanded your list of links..
Ours has cupboards coming apart at four months s s sink is pitted has been in shop over 40 days

What a handsome daddy!!
Do you have a tankless water heater? Wondering if water flow improved with your Oxygenics shower head.
wildcat9090 no we have a standard one with a tank.
what model and year is it? i'm assuming 2018-2019 31-FS right?
We purchased it in November 2017. 2017 model. 31fs
Richard Koch they did help a little but I have seen some others actually do more layers of insulated flooring to really make a difference.
I DO NOT SEE THE LINKS
