Sabbath is not a day just like a church is not a building.
Why can’t this Sabbath be the 7th when God rested from His works? The future 1000 years. That is the simplest most literal explanation! Why must we make everything about being saved and make it mystical?

Though I think that the 1st LBCF in 1644 got the confession right in the first place, I can be conformed to the 2nd LBCF in 1689, except with chapter 22 for precisely the reasons as articulated here...
The Sabbath was not commanded to noah or Abraham. The only thing god told Abraham to do to do was circumcision.
Hebrews 4 is speaking proleptically in my opinion. It's a future rest, ie the millennial reign. Thats why the rest of the context is about making sure we enter it and avoid the bad example of disobedient Israel in their sojournings. Ie disobedience to the father's commandments, of which the Sabbath is one of the top 10. Jesus taught this too when he told us to strive to enter through the narrow gate.
Right . Christ is our sabbath rest from the law. It made nothing perfect.Right I like Jesus everyday not just one day a week.
