2 ways of approaching the subject of holiness for a Christian: 1 newness of the Spirit 2 letter of the law 1 died with Christ/risen with Christ/dead to sin/new nature within/dead to the law/walk in the Spirit/Spirit empowers you to be holy 2 letter of the law brings awareness of sin/condemnation/awakens sin within us/causes us to sin even more/brings about pride/brings about judgementalism/brings about self righteousness
For all have sin and fall short of the glory of God. We are all sinners. What defines sin? Transgression of the law. The law remains so we remain under grace. To be holy means to be set aside for spiritual, sacred purposes. There were items in the temple considered holy. Did they have a new nature? We’re they sinless? They were set apart for sacred purposes. What are we set aside for? To represent Jesus. To be priests and kings/queens for God.
@@ronbanks1541 the law remains for ungodly, to show them the error of their ways (Galatians 4). We remain under grace because of what Christ did on the cross (Ephesians 1,2). So, no. You are not correct.

@Truth Hurts we are supposed to go by what the word of God actually says. Not by what we want it to say. First of all, he is not only referring to circumcision. Notice in verse 16 he says "by the works of the law." As in plural. He is referring to the law as a whole and if Gods law never changes then #1 why are you not still sacrificing bulls and goats on an altar? Where is your tabernacle? If Gods law never changes, then why aren't you burning down the cities of unbelievers and killing them?
@Truth Hurts why? Because Gods law DOES change as we are in a better, more perfect covenant built on better promises. The law of Moses was specifically for the nation of Israel which is why you see the laws regarding war and how to judge in court. How to grow their crops and settle disputes and dress. Things that pertain to morality, such as not committing adultery, still apply because Christ and the apostles taught against it. God knows what he's doing and I will take his words over yours.
@Truth Hurts "we don't have sacrifices anymore because there's a change in covenant." Yes and that changed the law didn't it? Thank you for proving my point.
@Truth Hurts you just told me the commandments never change and guess what? They changed. 613 commandments in the old testament. If you are an OT law person then you have to keep ALL the law or you are a lawbreaker. That's the way OT law works. If you decide you want to try to follow God by the letter of the law, you must keep it all.

Ephesians 2 says as gentiles we now have access to the promises & covenants that were given to Israel. Not that we should change them. They are pure. As Paul said we are grafted into Israel whose root is Jesus. We become fellow citizens v19 V14 & v15 show Christ destroyed the partition of hostility which are found in the commandments of dogmas. Dogmas are man made decrees that Christ objected to when they went against Truth. Like a Jew not being able to associate with a gentile...a lie from men that was a tradition the Jews thought to be true. Read it if your heart wants truth. We become one new man...not a spiritual Israel & ' the Jews' as two separate groups. That is a false dogma Eph 2:12-19 KJV 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Find truth & do not let go of it. Be blessed. FJ
Galatians 3:10 10 All those who depend on works of law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not remain in all the things written in the scroll of the Law by doing them.”
When you depend on doing the works of the law for salvation..this is the problem but this in no way means that we should not want to do the right things which essentially is to love God and our neighbour...which is the 10 commandments..first 4 show us how to love God...next 6 show us how we love our neighbour...which is what is meant by the 2 greatest commandments.
The Judaizer would say that if we claim to be under grace that we are saying it's ok to sin. Much to the contrary. Romans 6 tells us that we should not continue in sin so that grace can abound. Roman's 6 also tells us that sin will not have dominion over you because you are not under law but under grace. The law cannot break sins authority over a person. Grace is what does that. We are called to walk in the Spirit and when we do that, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Not by keeping the law. By walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5).
@@kennycouch6135 ive many times. It is about we are not justified by works of law but justified by faith. But we obey his commandments because we love him
@@TatureBud Let's have bible study. Gal. 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. So how do we not fall into sin? By keeping commandments? No. What does he say here? By walking in the Spirit. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. So there's a war going on right? Between our flesh that doesn't want to submit to God and the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. the Spirit leads regenerate persons, and teaches them to walk by faith in Christ. A person who is led by the Spirit is not only delivered from the law in fact, but delivered from its condemnation. We are not free to sin because we are not under the law, but instead free to live a righteous life before God. Our inner nature is changed (Romans 6) and we are no longer under the bondage of sin. We are slaves to righteousness with the inner desire now to please God. Again, not by keeping commandments but by walking in the Spirit. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. So we know what sin is. The new testament here defines it for us. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. When we choose to walk in the Spirit, this is what will show in our life. There is no law against those things. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If a person belongs to Christ, they will not live in sin. Because we are a new creation in Christ our desires have now changed. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Jesus stated several times that "the LAW and the PROPHETS were until John the Baptist ... and since John the Baptist ... the kingdom of heaven has been preached".
@@esperantogod Moses never said in his laws "don't worry about stoning someone to death ... if you have committed a sin". Nevertheless ... by you using that as a reason not to stone someone ... you have just excused yourself and many others from "following the old testament commandments".
There have always been groups of Christians who believe that in order to honor God’s authority in the Old Testament we must continue to obey the food laws and other ceremonial laws, lest we be found in disobedience. There is a good impulse in this and a profoundly bad impulse in this. The good impulse is the desire to obey God. There’s nothing wrong with that. That belongs to what it means to be a Christian. The bad impulse is the failure to obey Christ who teaches us how to obey God in regard to the Old Testament. So, the good impulse starts, perhaps, with a text like Matthew 5:17-18. Jesus says, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” And the good impulse puts the emphasis on every dot, every iota of the law standing until the earth passes away. And the bad impulse neglects the words, I have come “to fulfill them,” and the words, “until all is accomplished.” In other words, the bad impulse fails to see in Jesus the kind of fulfillment and the kind of accomplishment of the Law and the Prophets that God always intended in the Old Testament as the consummation and the end of the ceremonial laws. So, the effort to hold on to the prohibition of eating pork is, in effect, a refusal to submit to God’s plan for the fulfillment of the Law in Jesus.

@abcdefg The thing is that most of the time, you understans the gospel. You are an intelligent fellow and I do have respect for the research you do. The bible is God's holy word. Every part is true. If you make the gospel the center of how you live your life and how you act towards others, please continue sharing the gospel with others. It is only by the sacrifice of the Messiah that we are saved. He alone atones and circumcizes the heart. Ephesians 2:8, Revelation 3:20, Deuteronomy 30:6, Romans 6:23. Historically, the Roman Empire tried to take Christianity and claim it as their own religion. Sunday was the day the Romans worshipped their gods. When our people revolted against Hadrian, the Romans took us captive and required us to observe all their paganism. Then they took Christianity and uprooted everything Jewish and made it their own. This can't be what Paul was talking about in terms of that we are under grace. The answer as to why is found in the bible: Deuteronomy 28:64 - "Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods-gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. In Deuteronomy 28:64 - 68, God clearly told us what would happen from the time Titus destroyed the temple in 70 AD through the second century. Deuteronomy 32 describes how God would deal with our people for falling away from his instructions. Deuteronomy 32:31 describes how just like our God delivered us to our enemies that their "rock" (idols and gods) is not like our Rock. That verse shows so much meaning not just to the enemies which Israel faced before they entered the promised land. The gods of the Roman Empire represented "rocks" that were not like "The Rock". Furthermore Ezekiel 36:25 - 27 states "25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. God made his promise that we would be cleansed from idolatry as part of Salvation and that his people would be a light to the world so that Salvation reaches the ends of the earth - Isaiah 49:6. So does that mean that us believers in Yeshua (Jesus), who only believe that Salvation is by being saved by grace and not by the works of the law, follow the very thing that caused our people to be captive and that was rooted in worshipping idols? Certainly not. The Sunday Sabbath was rooted in idolatry and invented by the Roman Empire and sustained through the Catholic church. Thr Catholics also teach we must do good deeds to go to heaven. Was it not the blood of the Messiah that redeemed us and the only way? Yet, people encourage us to go to church on Sunday, and celebrate easter and Christmas. In the fourth century and beyond both gentiles and Jews stood against it and were persecuted still. I encourage those same people who encourage believers who go to church on Sunday and celebrate Easter and Christmass to pop open a history book and learn the origins of all three of those days. Then they ought to read 1 Corinthians 10. God warns people not to celebrate anything rooted in paganism. The Roman empire persecuted Christians and then decides in the fourth century under Constantine (who would be Jewish by blood because his mother was a Messianic Jew) to paganize it. The paganism was very dark. So everytime I hear pastors encouraging Christians to go to church on Sunday and celebrate Christmass and easter: this is what they say: lets fellowship together and tell others to take a day of rest and turn a blind eye to history and the fact that all three traditions are rooted in idolatry, antisemitism, and horrible corruption. God did not make a covenant with the Roman empire. So why are we following it? Why do people keep the Sabbath on Sunday?
If as Christians we are under the new covenant to love on another... my question is how much? Will Jesus NOT pay the penalty for those of us who may NOT have ENOUGH love for others? HOW much shall we love them? How much is enough love that we have to feel and exercise in our lives to be welcomed by God unto heaven when our earthly life ends? This is where I see works of love and service to others become a form of people working out their own salvation, after they understand and accept the free gift of what Jesus did on the cross for them. It seems natural that those who understand and accept the gift of Jesus’s act of love for them... a person naturally would want to love God back and pass that love on. But there still will be times of selfishness and other sins. It’s scary when I hear Christians talk about acts of love like they’ve acquired a certain amount like notches in their belts for salvation. When we think that way it takes Jesus off the thrown of being the very sacrifice for us that he was, for our salvation. We don’t earn our salvation by our actions but rather by the acceptance and belief in who he is and what he did, acknowledging our inability to follow the law and not sin. The whole old testament proved that it was impossible to not sin, it was impossible to follow all the laws and commands. God saw our problem and provided the solution in Jesus. Confessing this truth and accepting the free gift compels us to love.
Sorry, you can not be called brother or sisters if your promoting lawlessness! That is exactly 18l0 degrees off, your upside-down on how to love the father & the son.
As Christians we are under what is known as the law of Christ which Paul describes in Galatians 6:2. Burden-Bearing and the Law of Christ The main point of Galatians 6:1-5 is given in a general way in verse 2 and a specific way in verse 1. Verse 2: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." If a Christian brother or sister is weighed down or menaced by some burden or threat, be alert to that and quickly do something to help. Don't let them be crushed. Don't let them be destroyed. Don't be like the scribes and Pharisees. Jesus said, "They bind heavy burdens hard to bear and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger" (Matthew 23:4). Don't increase burdens. Make them lighter for people. Some of you wonder what you are supposed to do with your life. Here is a vocation that will bring you more satisfaction than if you became a millionaire ten times over: Develop the extraordinary skill for detecting the burdens of others and devote yourself daily to making them lighter. In this way you fulfill the law of Christ(6:2). That's an odd phrase in a book that says (5:18): "If you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law." And (3:13): "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law." Have we been freed from the curse and burden of the Mosaic law just to be burdened down with a more radical law of Christ? No. The difference is that Moses gave us a law but could not change our hearts so that we would freely obey. Our pride and rebellion was not conquered by Moses. But when Christ summons us to obey his law of love, he offers us himself to slay the dragon of our pride, change our hearts, empower us by his Spirit, and fulfill his law. That is why, even though Christ's law is more radical than the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, he can say, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). It is easy because when we are weak, he is strong. It's easy because he produces the fruit of love: "I am crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me" (2:20). Christ never commands us to do anything that he wants us to do on our own. Therefore, every command in the law of Christ is a call to faith. Through faith God supplies the Spirit of Christ (Galatians 3:5); through the Spirit we produce the fruit of love (5:22); through love we fulfill the law of Christ (6:2). Therefore, if you trust him, you will fulfill his law of love. You will devote yourself to lifting the burdens of others.

@@bassi3315 In Christ every believer is totally free from the law. "We are not under the law, but under grace" (Rom.6:15). We are not, justified (Rom. 3:19-24), sanctified (Gal.3:1-3), motivated (II Cor.5:14), ruled (Tit.2:11- 12), or glorified (Jude 24-25) by the law, but by grace. "CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS T0 EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH" (Rom. 10: 4). Do you ask what that means? It means that Christ is the fulfillment of the law, the satisfaction of the law, and the termination of the law to all who believe on him unto life everlasting. It means that there is no righteousness to be had, of any kind, to any degree, by our own works of obedience to the law. The only way anyone can have righteousness before God is by faith in Christ. He is "THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Jer.23:6). And we are the righteousness of God in him (Jer. 33:16; II Cor. 5:21). "YE ARE BECOME DEAD TO THE LAW BY THE BODY OF CHRIST" (Rom, 7:4), Do you ask what that means? It means that if you are a believer, if Christ died for you, insofar as the law of God is concerned you are dead. It can make no demands upon you. It can require nothing from you. It can do nothing to you. If you and I are in Christ by faith, we have no covenant with the law, no curse from the law, and no commitment to the law. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE ARE AGAINST THE LAW. God forbid! We are not antinomians, We delight in the law of God (Rom.7:22). The real antinomian is the legalist who pretends to keep the law. He lowers the standard of the law to the measure of his own obedience. Otherwise he could find no comfort in his obedience. So the legalist turns the law of God into lasciviousness. That is a complimentary word for his pretended obedience to the law!
Duane Richards what scripture is that? You must justify everything through scriptures? “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” Romans 3:3-4 KJV
No! the "OT" are the foundations of the faith revealed in the "NT" , you could junk the "NT" and still restore it's truth with the "OT", it would be impossible to do it the other way around. "..And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" eph 2:20 No one ever builds a house walls or roof first, always the foundations.
@@Zion-jw3gm absolutely not. The NT, first of all, is not junk. Second of all, Christ is revealed in the New Testament and fulfilled the Old Testament. You seem, as always, to have your priorities mixed up.
Romans 3------ 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
An exposition of Romans 10:4, which says: "Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes," will help in understanding what is means that Christians are not under the law. The apostle Paul clarifies the effects of original sin in Romans 2:12, stating "All who sin apart from the law will perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law." All men stand condemned before God, whether they are Jews or not, or to put it another way, whether they have the Law of God or not. Paul also states "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). If we are without Christ, we are justly condemned in God’s sight by the Law that was given to His servant Moses. However, we might argue that those who are not Jewish and therefore do not benefit from the knowledge of the Mosaic Law (including the moral and ceremonial laws), should not be condemned in the same way. This is dealt with by the Apostle in Romans 2:14-15, where he states that the Gentiles have the essence of God’s legal requirements already ingrained and so are just as much without excuse. The Law is the issue that has to be dealt with in order to bring us into a right relationship with God. "Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified" (Galatians 2:16). This passage reveals that the Law cannot justify or make righteous any man in God’s sight, which is why God sent His Son to completely fulfil the requirements of the Law for all those who would ever believe in Him. Christ Jesus redeemed us from the curse that has been brought through the law by becoming a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). He substituted Himself in our place and upon the cross took the punishment that is justly ours so that we are no longer under the curse of the Law. In doing so, He fulfilled and upheld the requirements of the Law. This does not mean that Christians are to be lawless, as some advocate today-a teaching called antinomianism. Rather, it means that we are free from the Mosaic Law and instead under the law of Christ, which is to love God with all of our being and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Christ became the end of the Law by virtue of what He did on earth through His sinless life and His sacrifice on the cross. So, the Law no longer has any bearing over us because its demands have been fully met in the Lord Jesus Christ. Faith in Christ who satisfied the righteous demands of the Law restores us into a pleasing relationship with God and keeps us there. No longer under the penalty of the Law, we now live under the law of grace in the love of God.
The most ridiculous thing christians do is continually cite the Torah as having all kinds of evidence of JC being messiah. But whenever somebody points out that the Torah says that the Torah will NEVER ever ever ever change, christians will turn around and say that JC Penny says we don't have to obey those laws anymore. That's literally the same thing the mormons do, and christians have the exact same reaction about mormons as jews do about christians. Also, feel free to point out all of the awful things JC said about jews while he changed the Torah. Do you even know of any of them?
@@areafifty of course we cite the Old Testament to show Jesus Christ is the messiah because he fulfilled it. You may not believe it but that's on you. He actually fulfilled hundreds of prophecies. When you actually look at the prophecies themselves you can see. Unless you blatantly choose not to.
@@areafifty p.s. anything that Jesus said was true because he is the judge. I suppose then if you don't like what Jesus said then you probably wouldn't have liked what any of the prophets said about Israel either. Maybe you should throw out the book of Jeremiah while you're at it.
The key to understanding the relationship between the Christian and the Law is knowing that the Old Testament law was given to the nation of Israel, not to Christians. Some of the laws were to reveal to the Israelites how to obey and please God (the Ten Commandments, for example). Some of the laws were to show the Israelites how to worship God and atone for sin (the sacrificial system). Some of the laws were intended to make the Israelites distinct from other nations (the food and clothing rules). None of the Old Testament law is binding on Christians today. When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15).

When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15). In place of the Old Testament law, Christians are under the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40). Now, this does not mean the Old Testament law is irrelevant today. Many of the commands in the Old Testament law fall into the categories of “loving God” and “loving your neighbor.” The Old Testament law can be a good guidepost for knowing how to love God and knowing what goes into loving your neighbor. At the same time, to say that the Old Testament law applies to Christians today is incorrect. The Old Testament law is a unit (James 2:10). Either all of it applies, or none of it applies. If Christ fulfilled some of it, such as the sacrificial system, He fulfilled all of it. “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). The Ten Commandments were essentially a summary of the entire Old Testament law. Nine of the Ten Commandments are clearly repeated in the New Testament (all except the command to observe the Sabbath day). Obviously, if we are loving God, we will not be worshipping false gods or bowing down before idols. If we are loving our neighbors, we will not be murdering them, lying to them, committing adultery against them, or coveting what belongs to them. The purpose of the Old Testament law is to convict people of our inability to keep the law and point us to our need for Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 7:7-9; Galatians 3:24). The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time. We are to love God and love our neighbors. If we obey those two commands faithfully, we will be upholding all that God requires of us......
I find Christianity very hypocritical, who gives you the right to decide what you do and don't follow. Jesus's message was pure and perfect and surely you as a Christian would want to follow in his footsteps and actions? Christians do not even follow the ten commandments, they create idols and statues of Jesus and Mary, consume swine and do not have laws on segregation between man and woman. Christianity was tainted the day Paul had this 'so-called' vision, and changed the teachings of Jesus. I'm sorry but Paul did not even know Jesus, he was merely a Jew that was sick of his teachings and found them too strict. There is a reason why Judaism and Islam are the way they are, they remain strong their foundations in the commandments and have never been tampered with, Christianity and the Bible has been rewritten and changed multiple times. There is a reason why Christianity is the easiest and most liberal religion to follow, it clearly has the smallest set of rules and it is not a way of life in anyway, please go read the Old Testament and see its beauty and see the way it portrays how we truly please God. In oppose to this hippy story 'New Testament'.
TheAnalyst KR who gives us the right to follow the teachings of Paul? is that what you're really saying? As Christians we follow what the entire New Testament tells us because the gospels are defined by the rest of the New Testament. If you are not a Christian yourself then how could you possibly know that? There's a reason why there are 27 books in the New Testament and not just 4. We believe what we believe and it's not up for debate with non-believers.
TheAnalyst KR Paul as well as John James and Peter also taught against sin so it's not a liberal religion. It's become a liberal religion to some because there are people who taint what the Bible says. Romans 6 is very clear when Paul tells us that we should not continue in sin simply because we are under grace. There are two different covenants in the Bible and that's how we understand it. That's why there's an Old Testament and a New Testament. If you don't understand that then how can you understand the rest of what the Bible says? God's words are pure but man is evil. Paul was an apostle of Jesus Christ and his words are the inspired word of God. Just as much as any other writer in the Bible. That's what we believe.
Code Red your books are tainted and so is your ideology. You’re a disgrace to Moses’ and Jesus’s message, and you know what the most hilarious thing is? Jesus couldn’t even sit and dine with you people, he couldn’t even touch your swine nor feel comfortable amongst you dousing yourself in alcohol. Now go read your stupid little New Testament
@@CodeRed-md3ny And Paul was a very deceptive man who corrupted Jesus's message. Please do not bring the NEW TESTAMENT into conversation as it holds no value or significance in this debate. OT delivered by Moses, and you think Paul was as able as this great prophet? Never. How could you possibly not want to live your life like Jesus? You haven't even been able to defend why Christians idle worship and consume swine, oh okay, its because you do not follow the message of Jesus.

In Matthew 22 Jesus sums up the law for us. 34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Then and John 13 Christ gives us a new commandment. This commandment would be just as binding upon New Testament Christians as the law of Moses was upon Israel in the Old Testament. Why? Because Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. He is our Lord. 31 So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. 32 If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately. 33 Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, 'Where I am going, you cannot come,' so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." Then, Christ reiterates this commandment in John 15. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. The Apostle John repeats this commandment in 1st John 3. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. The law of Christ which our Lord and Savior gave us himself.
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Titus 2:11-12

The purpose of the law Galatians 3:24-26 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Everyone is "under the law" before salvation because we are under its judgement. Therefore, nobody can be justified before God by keeping the law. Romans 3:19-24 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Righteousness through Faith 21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, Only by faith in Jesus Christ is a person justified before God.

Why do we accept the writings of the apostle Paul as believers? The apostles not only accepted the Old Testament and Jesus' Word's as authoritative, they also began to see that their writings were on the same authoritative level. Being led by the Holy Spirit, they believed they were speaking for Christ. The Apostle Paul, for example, wrote thirteen letters that have been recognized as Holy Scripture by the Christian church. Who was this man? What evidence do we have to call Paul's writings Scripture? Who Was Paul? We have no physical description of Saul of Tarsus given to us in Scripture. Early tradition says that he was a small man with a bald head. No matter what he looked liked, his writings have become part of the Word of God as found in the New Testament. He was born Saul of Tarsus - a city which is in modern-day Turkey. Tarsus had been part of the Greek world for some time. Although the family of Saul were Jews, Saul himself was a Roman citizen. While still a young man Saul traveled to Jerusalem to train as a Rabbi. In Jerusalem, he became acquainted with a group of people who believed Jesus of Nazareth to be the Messiah. Saul relentlessly persecuted these people while all the time thinking that he was serving God. The Conversion Of Saul Of Tarsus While heading for Damascus to further jail believers in Jesus, Saul had a blinding vision that knocked him to the ground. The voice that spoke to Saul identified Himself as Jesus of Nazareth - the one whom he had been persecuting. Thus began one of the great turnarounds in history. The greatest antagonist of the Christian faith - Saul of Tarsus - became its greatest missionary - the Apostle Paul. During his lifetime he penned thirteen different works that have become part of the New Testament. It is impossible to overestimate the influence that Paul played in the spread of the Christian faith. He Believed His Message To Be Divine The first thing that must be noticed is that Paul believed his message to be divine. He wrote. If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord (1 Corinthians 14:37). He wrote to the church at Thessalonica. And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of God's message, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Paul Spoke Of My Gospel Paul spoke of "my gospel." He said the preaching of Jesus Christ had been kept secret but now had been revealed. Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith (Romans 16:25,26). However, believing to have a divine message does not make it so. What evidence do we have of this message having been sent from God? Paul Received Direct Revelation From The Lord The Bible teaches that Paul received direct revelation from God. Paul wrote. Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? (1 Corinthians 9:1). After an encounter with the ascended Jesus on the Damascus road, Paul had it explained by Ananias: The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know his will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of his mouth. For you will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard (Acts 22:14,15). Disobeying His Writings Brings Discipline Paul said that anyone who disobeyed his writings was to be disciplined by the local church. He wrote. If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame (2 Thessalonians 3:14). To the Corinthians he wrote. I already gave you a warning when I was with you the second time. I now repeat it while absent: On my return I will not spare those who sinned earlier or any of the others, since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you (2 Corinthians 13:2-3). Paul also wrote. If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored (1 Corinthians 14:37,38). His Writings Were Considered Scripture During His Lifetime The final point is that the New Testament recognized Paul's writing as Scripture. Peter wrote: Our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures (2 Peter 3:15,16). The writings of Paul complete the New Testament. He was the chosen instrument to explain the meaning of the two comings of Jesus Christ. Summary Saul of Tarsus was a great enemy of the church. However he was converted on the road to Damascus while in the midst of persecuting Christians. He became the Apostle Paul - the greatest missionary the church has ever seen. Paul was given the task of explaining the ministry of Christ to the Gentile (non-Jewish) world. We find that he received direct revelation from the Lord. Paul also believed his message to be divine. The Apostle Peter confirmed Paul's words as Scripture. He was God's chosen instrument to reveal much about the central truths of the Christian faith. Paul also explained the necessity of the two comings of Christ.
This is by far the best explanation I have ever heard. Just quoted scripture and I read them too. He is on point. Jesus came down to make it simple for us to love one another and all we do is complicate it with rules and regulations. Some people use the old rules to fuel their ignorances and prejudices which is sad.

Mar 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Mar 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. Ecc 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecc 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. There are well over 200 places in the N.T. proving that the Apostles and Disciples observed the Torah. From our Messiah: Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: (This is on the Sabbath, and the reading of the Torah, our Elohyim's commands!) Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that OBSERVE and DO; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. In Matthew 5:17-18, as part of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished." With these words, Jesus honored the Law as God's Holy Word and declared the Law to be perfect, non-negotiable, and a true prediction of God's work in the future. The fulfillment of the Law is found in Christ Himself and His finished work of redemption. We are saved by God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Being under grace, believers are not bound by the Law (Romans 6:14), but we have the Holy Spirit actually living in our hearts. The Spirit gives us the ability to "love one another" (John 13:34), and we know that "the one who loves another has fulfilled the law" (Romans 13:8). Christians do not work at fulfilling the Mosaic Law, which Christ fulfilled on our behalf (Matthew 5:17); rather, we fulfill the "law of Christ" by the Spirit's power (Galatians 6:2)
Oh and Paul was talking about the Law of Flesh vs the Law of the Spirit. Galatians 5:17. For example: We all do things we know we shouldn't do. "Minds telling me no, But my body is telling me yes."
Galatians 5:21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." We are made righteous by what Christ did on the cross. To say we can be made righteous before God by keeping the law is to say that what Christ did on the cross was insufficient. It "nullifies" what Christ did on the cross. To add the keeping of the law to our faith in Jesus is against what the apostles taught us on how to follow Jesus. We follow him by faith. We are justified by faith. Made holy by faith. Read the bible people and stop simply listening to what people say.
@@IAMhassentyou-h5w lol why would I pay attention to him? Anyone who tries to discredit the bible, discredits themselves. If they don't believe the bible then they have no place in the inheritance of the saints.
Romans 8 1 and 2 tells us that this is speaking of the law of sin and death. We are not delivered from yahweh's laws. Why would a Believer want to be delivered from his God's laws?
@Vincent James it is true that man can obey God's laws, but we must also have faith in Messiah. It is Faith in his blood that cleanses us from the sin when we do not keep the Commandment. Even though a man can keep the Commandments in the Old Testament when he fell short he needed a sacrifice to cover his sin but nothing took his sin away until Jesus came as the Messiah. His blood takes away our sins and delivers us from death so we are redeemed from the curse of the law. We are not redeemed from the law itself, but we are redeemed from the curse of the law by him taking death and our place like the sacrifice did.
@Vincent James I agree with you that in that particular scripture the atonement or sacrificial system of shedding blood for the Forgiveness of sins is not mentioned, but we already know that that was mentioned prior in Exodus and so on
@Vincent James yes. The intentional sins just brought death. But the blood shed for the unintentional sins is still symbolic of the shed blood of the Lamb of God.
@Vincent James what does Passover represent? How is man forgiven of sin? God said the wages of sin is death. We cannot work our way to salvation. What do you believe the sacrificial system in the high priest was all about? It was about man sin separating him from God and that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. Christ shed his blood as the Lamb of God to take away my sinned and there are types and shadows of that in the Old Testament. There are different theories of the atonement. Christus Victor is less of him dying in our place and more him dying at the hands of sinful man but stripping the power of the enemy in the process.
As opposed to the blessing, which is grace, the Law is a curse upon all mankind, none of whom can possibly fulfill its requirements. While the Law itself is perfect and holy, those who try to justify themselves before its holy Author bring not His blessing, but His curse upon themselves. The Bible itself tells us what the curse of the Law is: “All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.’ Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, ‘the righteous will live by faith.’ The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, ‘The man who does these things will live by them.’ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree’” (Galatians 3:10-13). What we must understand from this passage is that the curse is not the Law. The curse is the penalty levied for not keeping the Law. The “Book of the Law” refers to the covenant laws that God made with His people during the time of Moses. The Law can point out where we fail and fall short of God’s will, but it cannot pronounce us righteous; that was not its purpose. In Galatians 3 the apostle Paul is telling us that everyone who does not keep the Law perfectly is cursed by it (Deuteronomy 27:26; Galatians 3:10). The reason is that no one can obey the Law perfectly. In fact, there were over 600 laws the Jews had to keep to be right in the eyes of God. The breaking of even one commandment put a person under condemnation. Trying to achieve salvation through obedience to the Law is futile. For example, we all regularly break the first and greatest commandment by failing to love God first with all our hearts, minds and strength (Matthew 22:37-38). As a result, everyone has broken the commandments, and everyone is cursed. The Law demands perfection-an impossibility because we’re all sinful (Romans 3:10, 23). As a result, all who try to live by the Old Law were under a divine curse. But the good news is that Jesus Christ “redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13). Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice on the cross when He bore God’s curse. Paul explains how in his letter to the Romans: “God presented [Jesus] as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-He did it to demonstrate His justice at the present time, so as to be just and the One who justifies those who have faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:25-26). The curse of the Law fell on Christ on our behalf so that the righteousness of God could fall on us, though we did not deserve it (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Matthew 5:17 “I have not come to destroy Torah(Law) but to fulfill it. Matthew 5:18 “ For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished Matthew 26:28 says the covenant was “renewed.” If you renew marriage vows, nothing changes. All Love
You’re right… it may be a “new covenant” ,,, but the “TERMS” of that covenant are the same, no?.. if the laws vanish with a new covenant then, lying is now ok, stealing is ok, etc..
Guess, you want to continue being a slave to the law? The Mosaic law was considered a death sentence and your heart was hardened. Jesus fulfilled it meaning it ended with him. Read Romans ch 7, Galatians, and 2nd Corinthians Ch 3.
@@jenniferbecca3050 Your question is a little vague but i assume you mean to keep the commandments of God is slavery? Would God take a people out of bondage and place them in another and call it deliverance? The Law was never a death sentence but freedom if one obeyed its voice. Rm 7 tells us it was our own flesh and hard hearts through sin that was the cause of the problem with keeping the righteous and beautiful Law that reflected its glory in the face of Moses. Your interpretation of Jesus fulfilling the law is also not correct, it means he administered the truth to its full meaning summarised in Love of God and your neighbor. It does not mean because he kept the law you dont have to, he said follow me, and teach the commandments of his father as he had shown to his deciples that means us too. Galatians in context is mostly defending the righteous commandments of God away from the commandments of men, in that instance the Law enforced by the rabbinical Hirearchy known as the "works of the Law". Paul condemned it as "another gospel" and bondage, and cursed because it usurps Gods authority in the earth, NOT the word of God spoken through Moses. If pastors would learn this difference we all would be better off.
@@Zion-jw3gm Galatians 4 talks about being a slave to the Mosaic Law. We are no longer slaves to the Mosaic Law, because Jesus fulfilled it with his death. Galatians 4: 4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2 The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3 So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces[a] of the world. 4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[c] Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. Paul’s Concern for the Galatians 8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you know God-or rather are known by God-how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[d]? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again? 10 You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! 11 I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you. 12 I plead with you, brothers and sisters, become like me, for I became like you. You did me no wrong. 13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, 14 and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. 15 Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth? 17 Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. 18 It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always, not just when I am with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, 20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you! Hagar and Sarah 21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise. 24 These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. 27 For it is written: “Be glad, barren woman, you who never bore a child; shout for joy and cry aloud, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.”[e] 28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”[f] 31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman. Yet, people want to still follow it in their everyday life. The Mosaic law is a burden. Verse 7 specifically tells you that the ministry (Mosaic law) brought death. Jesus came to save us from it. 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 The Greater Glory of the New Covenant 7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! 12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Romans 5--------20,21 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
If you went before a Judge for a crime and recieved a death sentance, it would be said that UNDER the Law you were found guilty, correct? Now a good lawyer came along and found a way to have you equitted, let's call that Grace. Does it mean then the Law you broke just goes away, or does it remain for some other would be law breaker? does it mean you can ignore the Law because it no longer applies to you? or does it mean now that you have been equitted you become a model citizen and LEARN to keep it so you don't end up in front of the Judge again? We have a mediator who gave his Life that we might not come into judgement having been judged already because he took our place, don't you think we should at least follow his example and keep the commandments from breaking it?

Protestants use Jesus to say I can eat pork, worship on sunday because Christ did away with the law, But to worship in spirit and truth is to obey all the commandments, including the 4th which is to keep the sabbath. What did Jesus mean when he said the things he said? That's why we have the epistles written by the apostles. They explain the words of Christ. Anyone who explains the words of Christ apart from the apostles are teaching their own doctrine. 27 books in the New Testament for a reason.
Furthermore people confuse the difference between the Laws and Commandments ! The Laws applied to the Jews in the old testament time and were ceremonial...moral and judicial for them....but the "ten commandments" were just that... Acts 15- a very good passage that all christians should read. In that chapter the question is presented to the apostles on whether or not Christians are saved by keeping Old Testament law or required to keep Old Testament law. Paul and Barnabas argue with the legalists and bring the matter to the apostles in Jerusalem. The apostles in the end conclude that not only had they never taught the following of the Old Testament laws, but that they were not going to place the churches under that teaching at that time either. Following Old Testament laws was never part of what the apostles taught so if they didn't teach it, then why would you? The chapter also gives us a clearer understanding of the Epistles and lets us know that Peter Paul James and John, the authors of the New Testament, did not teach the following of Old Testament laws in their books. God bless
In the book of Acts, the question was NOT "what are we going to do with all these "Jews" who are coming to faith in the Gentile, Aryan "Jesus", who abolished the Law and upholds sin...but it was "what are we to do with all these Gentiles who are coming to faith in the Hebrew Messiah, the 'Lion of Yehudah', Yeshua"! You are correct, the question was taken to the leadership of the believing community in Jerusalem, and the decision was to give the Gentiles 4 stipulations for table fellowship with the Messianic Jews, (we are told that there were myriads and myriads of them and that they were "all zealous for the Law") and then, "for Moses is read/taught in the synagogues in every city on the Sabbath"...so the new Gentile believers could avail themselves of the teaching of the Torah, "line up on line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little", just as the Jews had learned it during the period of the Tanakh! The "Torah is/was a pedagogue/tutor to lead us to Messiah", NOT to show them that they COULD NOT KEEP it, but that they DID NOT KEEP IT, and that they could be forgiven and redeemed, bought back, and EMPOWERED/ENABLED to keep the Torah by the INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT! We are told, "for the Spirit was WITH you, but NOW will be IN you"! Messiah Yeshua UPHOLDS THE LAW OF YHVH AND ABOLISHED SIN! PERIOD! See the difference?! Baruch B'Shem Yeshua!

Jennifer Schmidt your interpretation of Acts 15 is completely the opposite of what they are saying and what is taught throughout the New Testament. It's very plain to see when you go to acts 15 itself that the apostles opposed the teaching of the Old Testament law to believers. In fact in verse 24 itself the apostles say..... "Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"--to whom we gave no such commandment--" The apostles never commanded the early church to follow Old Testament law. So routinely do people attack the bible and as Christian's we know why. It is because Satan, our adversary, goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. That's why Ephesians 6 tells us to take up the whole armor of God to stand against him. Part of that armor is the word of God which Paul calls the sword of the Spirit. So we need to know what it says and understand it. The gospel of grace that the apostles taught is clear. We are not under law but under grace. Grace is not freedom to sin, it is freedom from the bondage of sin. It is the freedom that the bible speaks about. There is no freedom in keeping the law. Much to the contrary, it is a yoke of bondage and what does Paul say regarding this? Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. 4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. Galatians 5:1-4

When the Bible speaks of “the law,” it refers to the detailed standard God gave to Moses, beginning in Exodus 20 with the Ten Commandments. God’s Law explained His requirements for a holy people and included three categories: civil, ceremonial, and moral laws. The Law was given to separate God’s people from the evil nations around them and to define sin (Ezra 10:11; Romans 5:13; 7:7). The Law also clearly demonstrated that no human being could purify himself enough to please God-i.e., the Law revealed our need for a Savior. By New Testament times, the religious leaders had hijacked the Law and added to it their own rules and traditions (Mark 7:7-9). While the Law itself was good, it was weak in that it lacked the power to change a sinful heart (Romans 8:3). Keeping the Law, as interpreted by the Pharisees, had become an oppressive and overwhelming burden (Luke 11:46). It was into this legalistic climate that Jesus came, and conflict with the hypocritical arbiters of the Law was inevitable. But Jesus, the Lawgiver, said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them” (Matthew 5:17). The Law was not evil. It served as a mirror to reveal the condition of a person’s heart (Romans 7:7). John 1:17 says, “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Jesus embodied the perfect balance between grace and the Law (John 1:14). God has always been full of grace (Psalm 116:5; Joel 2:13), and people have always been saved by faith in God (Genesis 15:6). God did not change between the Old and New Testaments (Numbers 23:19; Psalm 55:19). The same God who gave the Law also gave Jesus (John 3:16). His grace was demonstrated through the Law by providing the sacrificial system to cover sin. Jesus was born “under the law” (Galatians 4:4) and became the final sacrifice to bring the Law to fulfillment and establish the New Covenant (Luke 22:20). Now, everyone who comes to God through Christ is declared righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 9:15). The conflict between Jesus and the self-righteous arose immediately. Many who had lived for so long under the Pharisees’ oppressive system eagerly embraced the mercy of Christ and the freedom He offered (Mark 2:15). Some, however, saw this new demonstration of grace as dangerous: what would keep a person from casting off all moral restraint? Paul dealt with this issue in Romans 6: “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” (verses 1-2). Paul clarified what Jesus had taught: the Law shows us what God wants (holiness), and grace gives us the desire and power to be holy. Rather than trust in the Law to save us, we trust in Christ. We are freed from the Law’s bondage by His once-for-all sacrifice (Romans 7:6; 1 Peter 3:18). There is no conflict between grace and the Law, properly understood. Christ fulfilled the Law on our behalf and offers the power of the Holy Spirit, who motivates a regenerated heart to live in obedience to Him (Matthew 3:8; Acts 1:8; 1 Thessalonians 1:5; 2 Timothy 1:14). James 2:26 says, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” A grace that has the power to save also has the power to motivate a sinful heart toward godliness. Where there is no impulse to be godly, there is no saving faith. We are saved by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). The keeping of the Law cannot save anyone (Romans 3:20; Titus 3:5). In fact, those who claim righteousness on the basis of their keeping of the Law only think they’re keeping the Law; this was one of Jesus’ main points in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:20-48; see also Luke 18:18-23).
Galatians 2--------- 16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
1:17- Do we have a reason and a foundation for what we are saying? Yes. The good reason is that we must read the Bible in terms of its storyline, in terms of its covenantal development. So, though there are many covenant dispensations in the Bible, (for our purpose here) there was the Old Covenant made with Israel, which had certain requirements. And those requirements that were given to Israel set them apart from the nations, distinguished Israel from the nations. So, we have the Old Covenant and then the New Covenant in Jesus Christ. That New Covenant was prophesied in Jeremiah 31, Ezekiel 36, and other passages as well. When we read the whole Bible and when we read the Old Covenant in light of the New, we see that the Old Covenant has passed away. Christians are no longer under the Old Covenant. They are no longer under the stipulations, the commands, the prescriptions in that Old Covenant. The New Covenant is new. So, NONE of the commands in the Old Testament are binding in and of themselves because the whole covenant has passed away as a package. We are under the New Covenant entirely. So, really the question is why we keep ANY of those covenants in the Old Covenant? Now, “Why do we avoid some”, but “Why do we keep some of them”? And we do keep some of them, don't we? Some of them are repeated in the NT. ….. Is there rationale in what the New Testament writers are doing? I think the most helpful way to think of it actually is that the NT writers argue that we are under now, what Paul calls, “the law of Christ,” in Galatians 6:2 and 1 Corinthians 9:20-21, we are NOT under the law of Moses, but we are under the law of Christ.
What is “the law of Christ” fundamentally? Galatians 5:14 - the law of Christ is the law of love. And that is what Jesus taught, too. That is in Paul in Galatians. But Jesus taught, in Matthew 22, how to summarize what the law is about ethically? It is about loving God and loving your neighbor. And then both Jesus and Paul and other New Testament writers UNPACK what that love is: What does love look like? Well, if you love, you honor your father and mother. If you love, you don’t steal. If you love, you don’t murder, and you don’t commit adultery. So, some of those commands from the OT pass over, not surprisingly. Some of those commands are still required for today, but they are required: NOT BECAUSE it is part of the Old Covenant BUT BECAUSE the NT “indicates” that they are part of “the law of Christ.” ----- So, when we read the Scripture, we are not being arbitrary or whimsical or just picking up the commands we want to obey. We are actually being faithful to what the Bible as a whole teaches us. We are reading the Bible in light of the whole story, in light of the fulfillment that is in Jesus Christ. The nation of Israel was intended to be in force for a certain period of time. It was the state and the church. But NOW the church of Jesus Christ is in every nation and every people group. And the commands and the laws that are required are different than the laws for the small little nation (Israel) that was political and church entity. What God requires of us in the New Covenant is clear. It fundamentally calls us to is to love one another. It is pretty remarkable when we read the NT, which is NOT filled with detail regulations.
The NT focuses on love of God and love of neighbor, and then, it sketches in for us, “OK, here is what love looks like in broad strokes.” But we are fundamentally called upon to imitate Jesus Christ, to follow in His footsteps. We see what the love of God is like in the Cross of Jesus Christ and in the self-giving love for others, and that is what God calls us to do as Christians.
"Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. (5) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. (6) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter." Romans 7 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. " Galatians 5:22
The Law of Christ is actually a fuller/greater expression of righteousness than the Law of Moses. For instance, the Law of Moses said, “Do not commit adultery”, but the Law of Christ says, “Love your wife as Christ also loved His church and gave Himself for her.” The Law of Moses said, “Do not steal”, but the Law of Christ says, “Give”. The Law of Moses says, “Do not bear false witness”, but the Law of Christ says, “Speak truth”. The Law of Christ can only be fulfilled by grace. Romans 8:2-4
Sounds good to hear people say "Jesus followed the law, so we should too." Unfortunately for these people they are not taking the counsel of the entire word of God. The New Testament has 27 books. The epistles are supposed to explain the 4 gospels. Anyone who interprets the 4 gospels outside of, or in contradiction to the teachings of the apostles is teaching their own doctrine apart from scripture. Period.
@@jenniferbecca3050 Paul kept the law and he was ordered to show it openly so that people understood to keep the law furthermore he says you are justified if you keep the law Acts 21:21-24 [21]And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs. [22]What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come. [23]Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them; [24]Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. Romans 2:13 [13](For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. The problem with Christianity members is y'all have no clue what Paul is teaching and like the people during that time they were confused THINKING Paul was teaching against circumcision and the law and customs of Israel but as we see in acts 21 he wasn't.
John is also clear on what commandments we are to follow in 1 John 3 23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. The same commandment that Christ gave us in John 15. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another. Since John also wrote Revelation, we can be assured that the commandments he spoke of in Revelation are the same commandments he gave in 1 John 3. Nowhere in the New Testament does the bible command new covenant believers to keep OT law. Much to the contrary. There are many scripture verses that say we are no longer under the law when we come to Christ.
Romans 8:2 [2]For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. What does this mean, the law of sin and death? Where do you find New covenant believers in the scriptures?

@@kennycouch6135 we are not redeemed from God's Commandments! We are set free from the penalty or curse of the law. It is the law of sin and death that Christ redeemed us from. It is the curse of the law that was taken away, not the law itself. Just listen to the words of Our Lord in Matthew 5. He tells us plainly that not one jot or tittle of the law will pass away until Heaven and Earth pass away and all be fulfilled. If a person is loving God and loving their neighbor they will be led by the spirit and we'll walk in the Commandments of God. For it is not the hearers of the law that are made righteous but the doers of the law. Peter warns us of people that twist the writings of Paul. He calls them Lawless oh, just as our Lord tells us in Matthew 7 that many that go by the name of Christ or call themselves Christian on Judgement Day will be told they never knew him because they were workers of lawlessness. The New Covenant is written about and prophesied back in Ezekiel 36 and tells us that God will write his laws and Commandments on our hearts and give us a new heart and cause us to obey his Commandments and to walk in them. God doesn't write an abolished law on our hearts. Torah is definitely still in effect and will be until the new heavens and new earth.
2 Corinthians 3-------7-9 Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? 9 For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20 KJV
The NT clearly teaches we as Christian's are not under the law Romans 6:14 is one clear example of that: For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. However, many see grace as a license to live any way they want to. So many non Christian cults have perverted the gospel of grace and made sin ok. Paul clearly states that grace is not license to sin. Romans 6:1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? So the answer is NOT to be disobedient to the true teachings of the apostles and put ourselves under the law. The answer is to understand the truth of what grace is for it is grace that saves (Ephesians 2:8,9) and grace that Christ came to bring (John 1:14,17).
He changed us not the Law. Unless you believe God was lying when He said I don't change and " The grass withered and the flowers fade but the WORD OF GOD LAST FOREVER
@abcdefg The Malkitsedeg priesthood has always been there, it better that it serves the world Universally not just nationally like the Livitcal priesthood did while there was a Temple which makes it better, clearly better, but it does do away with the Levi's. Better doesn't do away with something, neither does change, which was only because there is no Temple. You can't do away with the very things that describe sin, so when everyone seems to run to Paul's letters to somehow show that Gods ways are done away with, remember that no man has or can do away with something God has created, so if you want to keep fighting that battle find it where Jesus or your Heavenly Father says you no longer have to live the life i intend you to live, which would mean there is no more sin. When Jesus says if you love me you would keep my commandments, He didnt say wait 300 years till a book was written then pick through it and pick some out that you do anyways morally, but not for me. Jesus was and is talking about the commandments of your Old Testament, dont be confused by the name, God never said it was old as a matter of fact He said His word lasts forever. Just remember what the very end of your book says " the dragon was enraged with the woman and went to make war with her children who KEEP the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus" Rev-12:17- . It's both. You dont nor should you want to do away with a life that serves your Creator. For someone to say the Jesus, especially a man like Paul or others, did away with the Laws of God make Jesus into a false prophet Duet 13:1-. Remember the new has to fit the old not the other way around.

@abcdefg If the Priesthood sacrifices were abolished, then why do the Prophets say, that during the reign of Moshiach, gentles will go up to Jerusalem to keep the feasts and give sacrifices? You are twisting things out of context.
it’s amazing how the Bible can state something multiple times but people will attempt to come against it by establishing doctrines based on silence in the Bible and without clear statement in the Bible. Amazing what people do to fight against keeping God’s commandments because they love the disobedience against God’s commandments of this world too much.

Adding anything to salvation or righteousness beyond faith is to go against the teachings of the apostles and it is the apostles who interpret the words of Christ for us in scripture. We must always be careful who we listen to. Judaizers and false teachers abound spreading doctrines of demons. The gospel of grace is what Paul and the apostles taught. If we stick to that, we are following Christ correctly.
So many ways to interpret that. So, the gentiles when Moses was around were the weirdos practicing human sacrifice, etc. Some of Christianity could have converted from the cult-like stuff (ahem, romans), but Jesus seemed to talk an awful lot to the followers of Mosaic law, so I'm pretty sure most of Christianity started with former jews. Hence the difficulty in Acts for some new converts to completely convert, not unlike some people who were born right into Christianity today, who also misunderstand but mean well.
45 seconds in, it is quite shocking that the seminary got such a small detail wrong. The Torah doesn't teach "no mixed fabrics" such as "polyester and cotton", but this is specifically in reference to wool & linen (Deut 22:11), which was specifically reserved to be worn by priests. Is is not really strange nor difficult to accomplish this commandment, since even our modern attire rarely if ever combines these materials.
Understanding the difference between Old Testament (OT) and New Testament(NT) The New Testament is OLDER than the Old Testament/Covenant. Specifically, the New Testament is 430 years older than the Old Testament. In Galatians 3 vs 17 - 18, the apostle Paul says, “And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise”KJV. A Testament/covenant does not come into existence until the death of its testator/mediator. Sadly, those who assembled the Bible appear to have missed this obvious gospel truth, and it’s causing a lot of confusion to many folks out there! Me and you have as a result been erroneously taught that Old Testament ends in Malachi 4 vs 6. But, this is NOT true according to what Scripture says! The word of God says in Hebrews 9 vs 16 - 17, “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth” KJV. The Old Testament ends at Golgotha, when Jesus was crucified (Matthew 27; Mark 15; Luke 23; & John 19). At Calvary, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ put an end to the old order (Old Testament) and that is why when He had received the vinegar which was put to his mouth, Jesus said the words, “IT IS FINISHED” Read John 19 vs 28 -30. It marked the end of the Law of Moses (the Mosaic Covenant or the Old Testament - which is made up of 613 laws, including the 10 commandments God gave to Moses on Mount Sinai/Horeb: Exodus 20). It was at Calvary where Jesus put an end to the Law of Moses/Old Testament. Remember He came to fulfill the Law as he had said before going to the Cross, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” Matthew 5 vs 17 - 20. But, we see when the Risen Jesus Christ appears to the disciples at Jerusalem, He says, “..These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be FULFILLED, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” Luke 24 vs 44 KJV. Now, take note of this… A testament/covenant has its own laws and two different covenants cannot be run concurrently; the two CANNOT coexist without confusion. Glory to the Most High God!!! Here’s why we have this, “Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the LAW; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He TAKETH away the first (Old Testament or the Law of Moses), that he may establish the second (New Testament). Hebrews 10 vs 8 -9 KJV. The word of God says in Hebrews 8 vs 13, “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which DECAYETH and WAXETH old is ready to vanish away”. Colossians 2 vs 13 & 14 “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his CROSS”. Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of God, is the FULFILMENT of the Law of Moses! But someone may ask, ‘What do you mean when you say Christ is the fulfillment of the Law? Well, here’s your answer…”For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”: Romans 8 vs 3 - 4 KJV. Beloved, are you not trying to make yourself righteous by observing the Law of Moses? Are you not a well-respected and highly honored member of your church because you’re a faithful tither? Are you not trying so hard to keep the Sabbath/7th day? Don’t you observe the Passover feast? Do they not read out loud the ten commandments from the pulpit without preaching the revealed word of God from these laws? Everything written in the Old Testament was prophesying about the suffering, death, resurrection and glorification of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. In the book of Acts, we see the apostle Paul testifying Christ before king Agrippa and Festus, saying the following words, “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying NONE OTHER THINGS than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should SUFFER, and that he should be the first that should RISE from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles” Acts 26 vs 22 - 23 KJV. The Old Testament is a shadow of the New Testament! I must be beside myself…what do I mean?!!! When God gave instructions for the Passover in Exodus 12, it was a shadow/prophecy/allegory, or in other words, a type of Christ as the true Passover. In 1 Corinthians 5 vs 7, the apostle Paul says, “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us” When God commanded the children of Israel to keep the Sabbath, it was all about the rest that Christ would give to the believers/saints or those whom God chose before the foundation of the world. Christ is our 7TH Day; so we rest in Him. This is the rest spoken about in Hebrews 4 from verse 1 - 11; the same rest Jesus was speaking about in Matthew 11 vs 28 & 29, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls”KJV

There is probably no sin more tolerated or more widespread in the Christian world than legalism. It may surprise you to hear it labeled as sin. Legalists are thought to be a bit overzealous or “uptight,” but they aren’t usually thought of as sinning in the same sense as adulterers, thieves, liars, and the like. To the contrary, legalists seem to be concerned about holiness. Yet the Lord Jesus had more conflicts with the legalists of His day than any other group. It wasn’t the adulterers, the robbers and that sort, who put Jesus on the cross. It was the legalists. Later on, the Apostle Paul had the same experience, as the legalists dogged his steps, perverting the gospel of the grace of God. When you study the life of Christ, it is noteworthy how He deliberately did things to provoke the legalists. He could have healed people on any other day of the week, but He often did it on the Sabbath. He could have been more discreet in violating the Pharisees’ rules, but He did it openly. When a Pharisee invited Jesus to dinner, He could have gone along with their elaborate hand-washing custom, but He deliberately ignored it. When they questioned Him about it, He could have been more polite, but He blasted them for their hypocrisy. When a lawyer pointed out that Jesus had offended them as well, He didn’t say, “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to offend you good folks.” He said, “Woe to you lawyers as well!” Jesus confronted legalism as sin.
MATTHEW 22:35-40 35 And one of them, versed in the Law,asked, testing him: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah* your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”
If Christian's were still bound to the law then Christ died for nothing. Some will say that the law of Christ is simply the old testament law repeated but look at what Christ said when he gave us his commandment in John 13. Vs. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. When God gave the command to love in Leviticus it said no such thing and there were penalties for not keeping it. Not only does Christ give us a "new commandment," not only is there no penalty and condemnation involved but we are to love as he loved us. Entirely different from the commandment given in Leviticus. The new testament law of Christ is wrapped up in loving as Christ loved us and gave himself for us on the cross. As he gave his all for us, we should give our all to others and bear one another's burdens as we see in Galatians 6:2. God bless. ☝🏻🙏🙂
@abcdefg amen dear brother. That's why it is so important to understand all of the bible. Not just bits and pieces. Like, for instance, the gentleman who gave us 1 John 2. He took one verse and ran with it instead of looking at what the rest of 1 John says. The rest of the New Testament, for that matter. People are stuck in the Old Testament and they don't realize that we are in the New Testament now. God bless you brother.

Law according to the Apostle Paul was given so that it will reveal sin . in other words the law shows your need for redemption. And the redemption comes through the work of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.
@@samphonnetgamgee5625 The Apostle Paul is talking from a theological point of view. It is always his custom to expound the nature of Sin the nature of fallen man and what the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus means . What's the application ? How do we go about living our lives free from sin and the law that could not erradicate the punishment nor the enslavement and the pervasive power of Sin in the life of the believer. Only our precious dear Lord was able to handle it by His DEATH and RESURRECTION . So the believer whose only HOPE to attain righteousness (whether legally like a forensic declaration that the Protestant reformers acclaim followed by the sanctification process that breaks the power of Sin ) comes as we place our trust and hope in the finished work of our Lord on the cross and His mighty ressurected power working in our lives delivering us from not only the penalty but also the POWER of SIN and SATAN the WORLD and DEATH. The law can do NOTHING of these !!
Galatians 1:6-9 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Grace according to the Bible is just a grace period and Paul himself who said we are not under the law came back and said we should not sin. Romans 6:2
Grace is until Jesus returns. But Grace doesn’t mean lawless, that was just Luther’s unfortunate overstatement. We are under “the law of Christ” which is graceful and Grace, but it’s still a law. If we don’t keep it we can fall from Grace.
At the root of legalism is the sin of pride, because the legalist thinks that he is able to commend himself to God by his own good deeds. Invariably, he is only looking at externals, not at his heart. Also, the legalist’s pride motivates him to exalt himself in the sight of others by his outward behavior, again neglecting to see the corruption of his own heart. Thus legalism denies human depravity and exalts human ability. As such, it is opposed to the gospel of God’s grace. That’s why both Jesus and Paul clashed with the legalists. Jesus hates legalism because it does not deal with the condition of our hearts before God. Christianity is primarily a matter of the heart. Everything flows from a heart relationship with God, who transforms our hearts when He regenerates us. The Jewish religious leaders seemingly were seeking after God, but in reality they were self-seeking. They didn’t see themselves as sinners in need of a Savior. They saw themselves as good people because they kept the Law. But in reality, they didn’t keep the Law because they didn’t apply it on the heart level. Thus, Jesus in effect said that if they would be as careful about clean hearts as they were about clean hands, then they would be what they ought to be. The structure of our text is that in 11:37-41 we have the setting and overall theme, that legalism puts the emphasis on the external to the neglect of the internal. Then, in 11:42-44 Jesus pronounces three woes on the Pharisees in which He sets forth some of the specific problems with legalism. At this point, an expert in the Jewish law speaks up in self-defense, pointing out that Jesus’ remarks not only condemn the Pharisees; they also insult the lawyers. Rather than apologizing, Jesus launches into a series of three more woes on the lawyers (11:46-52). The result was not repentance, but rather increased hostility on the part of the Pharisees and lawyers in an attempt to trap Jesus in something He might say (11:53-54). The overall theme: Legalism puts the emphasis on the external to the neglect of the internal (11:37-41).
We are not under the mosaic law, or the Ten Commandments anymore, that was fulfilled with the old covenant and now for us is obsolete. We are under the new covenant, where we have the law of Christ written on our hearts, which means, the law serves us- the law of Christ. As for the mosaic law: we don’t serve the law. We serve the law of Christ naturally from our new and circumcised hearts. If there is overlap between what each commands, we only keep it because it’s in the law of Christ. Thanks to Jesus, this is part of the gospel.

Yeah, I don't agree. When I read the Bible this is not what I get. What I also don't understand about this stance is that he clearly states that the commands were to set God's people apart. Are we not still supposed to be set apart? I would argue that we are. The church I see today looks a lot like the world.
I hear you, I would just add that the Law of Christ isn't a license to sin (Romans 6:7 we are "freed from sin", from sin, not to sin). It doesn't mean that we are without a law. Those who believe that are still blind. The Law of Christ is actually more demanding, it's a higher law. Matthew 5:27, 28.
The law does set God's people apart because the law was only give to the chosen. Grace is just a grace period to get your life sorted out much like a light bill you forgot to pay but the electric company will not cut it off right away they give you some time to pay that bill but as we all know if you don't pay your light will eventually be cut off. Anyone that uses grace as a excuse not to keep God's laws ( not the sacrificial law ) needs to be taught how to read and understand the bible. Many people including pastors say we are not under the law or old testament but will still take your money in the form of tithes and use the term " will a man rob God". Newsflash tithing is a old testament law given to God's chosen people the Israelites. Tithing wasn't about money but instead it was used mostly to help the tribe of Levi ( so-called Haitian ). So ask yourself why don't we have to keep the law but still end up paying tithes which is part of the old testament law.
@@6969smurfy The bible warns you to beware of false prophets especially those that tell you not to keep the law because we're under grace. The old testament is still in full effect and you have to read it to understand other parts of the bible as God's people were on one accord no matter how far apart their time on earth was. Christ said in John 5:46 " If ye had believed Moses ye would have believed me because he wrote of me." That right there tells you that you should be reading the old testament. Jesus himself quoted Moses. Christ also said he did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill. If you read Revelations which hasn't happened yet it says he that leadeth in captivity shall go into captivity and he that kill with the sword must be killed by the sword because there must be recompense for the atrocities that happened to God's people. The actual meaning of being saved was for God's people to be saved from the hands of God's enemies Luke 1:71. So there you go the bible or laws is not for everyone like we were taught but every nation has their own purpose just like Edom was blessed with the sword or in other words power.

The Apostle Paul taught justification by faith. That means we are made righteous before God by faith in Jesus Christ. The bible also says that the law increased sin and made us more aware of it and it also says no one can be righteous by keeping it because in fact nobody can keep it. Only Jesus fulfilled it perfectly and became the completion of the law. Any person or group that teaches that christians are under the law does not understand the purpose of the law nor do they understand the gospel of grace.
1John 2:3-4 everyone. You have a ton of scripture about keeping the commandments and no excuse. The power of grace is the ability to keep the law and no longer be in bondage to sin. If you say different, you are lying just as the New testament writer says in this scripture.

People should truly listen to the video before responding. The bible is clear on this issue. Galatians tells us we are not to mix the keeping of the law with our faith in Jesus Christ. It's a false gospel that nullifies what Christ did on the cross. Roman's 6 tells us we are not under the law but under grace. Roman's 7 tells us we are dead to the law and married to Christ. Roman's 8 tells us that the only way to be holy before God is through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
@Buckeye Country a person is not breaking the law if they are walking in the Spirit. Galatians 5- I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
@Buckeye Country Galatians 3- just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith."

2 ways of approaching the subject of holiness for a Christian: 1 newness of the Spirit 2 letter of the law
1 died with Christ/risen with Christ/dead to sin/new nature within/dead to the law/walk in the Spirit/Spirit empowers you to be holy
2 letter of the law brings awareness of sin/condemnation/awakens sin within us/causes us to sin even more/brings about pride/brings about judgementalism/brings about self righteousness
That's well put.
Yes! That about sums it up. That was done very well.

Not that we should change them. They are pure.
As Paul said we are grafted into Israel whose root is Jesus. We become fellow citizens v19
V14 & v15 show Christ destroyed the partition of hostility which are found in the commandments of dogmas. Dogmas are man made decrees that Christ objected to when they went against Truth.
Like a Jew not being able to associate with a gentile...a lie from men that was a tradition the Jews thought to be true.

10 All those who depend on works of law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not remain in all the things written in the scroll of the Law by doing them.”
@abcdefg Good way of putting it..not national laws over us but spiritual guides and principles.
Where in scripture says it is not by keeping the law?
@@TatureBud read Galatians 5

You've not really covered the Covenant promises to those that are grafted into Isreal through Messiah.
The Holy Spirit given to believers leads them to keep his commandments having them written on their hearts, that is the new covenant, the Holy Spirit conversion.
Though the benefits or blessings associated with this union are no different to what was originally part of the "old" covenant.
@@Zion-jw3gm actually, every single one of those deals with how gentile believers are included as all believers receive the Holy Spirit when they come to Christ. In the end the only thing that matters is what God's word says. Everything else is secondary. Cultists seem right, on the surface, until you dig deeper into what they're saying. Thankfully, for us as Christians, we have the Holy Spirit guarding our soul and keeping us from falling prey to doctrines of demons.
This is a question I've wrestled with for many years. Dr. Schreiner gives the best explanation I've heard.
Brad Crouser if i may, i was wrestling with that before but by the grace of God , He made me realize that we still have to obey the law ( we are not save by it though) otherwise we don't have a God who do not change.
I watched 119 ministries on that matter and it really did help me.
Please pray about it.
Brad Crouser i am not here to argue just to share the precious Word of God the only example that i will leave you with is this :
The woman that was caught in an adulterous act, Jesus asked the people who had no sins to cast the first stone, no one could because we were all sin.
That is the reason that i can't stone anyone.
The law teaches me every second my need of my Saviour Jesus Christ.
I spoke with love and humility to you , there are things that the Holy Spirit will teach us if we let down what we think we know and just let Him be our teacher.
Peace to you.

And the bad impulse neglects the words, I have come “to fulfill them,” and the words, “until all is accomplished.”
In other words, the bad impulse fails to see in Jesus the kind of fulfillment and the kind of accomplishment of the Law and the Prophets that God always intended in the Old Testament as the consummation and the end of the ceremonial laws. So, the effort to hold on to the prohibition of eating pork is, in effect, a refusal to submit to God’s plan for the fulfillment of the Law in Jesus.

The answer as to why is found in the bible:
Deuteronomy 28:64 - "Then the Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other.
Burden-Bearing and the Law of Christ
The main point of Galatians 6:1-5 is given in a general way in verse 2 and a specific way in verse 1.
So do we make void the law (10 Commandments) ?
@@raymondlashwayojnr6099 First, the Ten Commandments are synonymous with 'tables of stone' and the two 'tables of testimony.' They are the actual covenant document that established Israel's special national status with God. ". . . two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."
Second, the sabbath, or Fourth Commandment, was the sign of the covenant. ". . . the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath . . . for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever . . ."
Third, the sign of the covenant, or sabbath, stands for the whole covenant. To break the sign is to despise the entire covenant. ". . . keep the sabbath . . . for a perpetual covenant."
Fourth, the covenant was made only with the nation of Israel. ". . . the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath . . . It is a sign between me and the children of Israel . . ."
Fifth, the essence of the sabbath commandment was to refrain from all physical work. It had nothing to do with public worship. ". . . whosoever doeth any work . . . Six days may work be done, but the seventh is the sabbath of rest . . . whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death."
The following texts teach not only that the sabbath was the sign of the covenant given at Sinai, but they show the great importance of the sabbath sign as well:
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you; every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul
shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God Exodus 31:12-18
King David said the opposite he said that the law was a delight

But Jesus said He is not here to replace the law, right?
In Matthew 22 Jesus sums up the law for us.
34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
Then and John 13 Christ gives us a new commandment.
35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
Then, Christ reiterates this commandment in John 15.

@Vincent James THIS bible.
Luke 2:7-9
Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire."
There are two types of law in the O.T. The Levitical law and the Moral law. The Levitical law was fulfilled in Christ but the Moral law is still in force.
@abcdefg You look at scope. If the law points to Jesus, then it is sacrificial. If it doesn't point to Jesus as the Lamb of God on the cross, then it is moral.
2 Corinthians 3--------10-11 Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

100% agree
Everyone is "under the law" before salvation because we are under its judgement. Therefore, nobody can be justified before God by keeping the law.
Romans 3:19-24
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Righteousness through Faith
21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Only by faith in Jesus Christ is a person justified before God.
That is bible truth. There is no other truth except that.

The Conversion Of Saul Of Tarsus
While heading for Damascus to further jail believers in Jesus, Saul had a blinding vision that knocked him to the ground.
He Believed His Message To Be Divine
The first thing that must be noticed is that Paul believed his message to be divine.
Paul Spoke Of My Gospel
Paul spoke of "my gospel." He said the preaching of Jesus Christ had been kept secret but now had been revealed.
Paul Received Direct Revelation From The Lord
The Bible teaches that Paul received direct revelation from God. Paul wrote.
Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? (1 Corinthians 9:1).
After an encounter with the ascended Jesus on the Damascus road, Paul had it explained by Ananias:
The God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know his will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of his mouth. For you will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard (Acts 22:14,15).
Disobeying His Writings Brings Discipline
Paul said that anyone who disobeyed his writings was to be disciplined by the local church.
His Writings Were Considered Scripture During His Lifetime
The final point is that the New Testament recognized Paul's writing as Scripture. Peter wrote:
Our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which some things are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures (2 Peter 3:15,16).
The writings of Paul complete the New Testament. He was the chosen instrument to explain the meaning of the two comings of Jesus Christ.
Summary
Saul of Tarsus was a great enemy of the church.

Mar 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
From our Messiah: Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
(This is on the Sabbath, and the reading of the Torah, our Elohyim's commands!)
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that OBSERVE and DO; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
Not all laws apply to us today, as we see in Hebrews chapters 9 & 10.
Scriptures that describe our Elohyim's Law: Rom 7:12-The Law is Holy, Romans 7:14-The Law is Spiritual (Came from Yah), Jam 1:25-The Law is Perfect, 1 Joh 3:4-The Law defines sin/iniquity, Ps 19:7-The Law is Perfect and Converting the soul and is sure, Ps 19:8-The Law is Right and Pure and it Enlightens the Eyes, Ps 1:2-The Law is our Delight, Ps 119:142-The Law is Truth,
Pro 13:14 Fountain of Life, Ecc 12:13-The Law is The Whole Duty of Man, Deu 11:27&28-The Law is a Blessing (Not obeying is a curse), Ps 119:1- 4 -The Law is the Way, Pro 6:23-The Law is a Lamp and a Light and the Way of Life, Ps 119:30 The Way of Truth There are many more! But recognize that the Law (The Word and Son of Yah) is the Way, Truth, and Life…
They use it to fuel their competitiveness, too.
I was brought up Christian, being baptized in the church of Scotland. I fell away from Christianity through my teens and 20s, I'm now 33 and through much pain and sorrow discovered Jesus. I adore the new testament but find parts of the old testament to be circles I just can't square. To me personally I view the old testament as metaphorical, for me the stories of the OT are similar to Jesus's parables. But that's just a personal belief ❤✝️❤
Matthew 5 17“Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass. 19Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
These 3 sentences trump all and every argument against keeping all of God's commandments. And they were spoken just before the sermon on mount, almost like a disclaimer for those willing to read the sermon on the mount and say - you see , you see Jesus is doing away with those things LOL.
partial obedience = not obey
Remember this fully obedience is always bring blessing
Amen. YAH demands total submission.
In Luke 16:17 Jesus says, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void." In Matthew 5:17-18, as part of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished."
With these words, Jesus honored the Law as God's Holy Word and declared the Law to be perfect, non-negotiable, and a true prediction of God's work in the future.

Galatians 5:21

We are made righteous by what Christ did on the cross.

Romans 6:14--- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Guess, you want to continue being a slave to the law? The Mosaic law was considered a death sentence and your heart was hardened. Jesus fulfilled it meaning it ended with him. Read Romans ch 7, Galatians, and 2nd Corinthians Ch 3.
@@jenniferbecca3050
Your question is a little vague but i assume you mean to keep the commandments of God is slavery?
Galatians 4:
4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.
Paul’s Concern for the Galatians
8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods.
Hagar and Sarah
21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says?
27 For it is written:
“Be glad, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
shout for joy and cry aloud,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband.”[e]
28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise.
2 Corinthians 3:7-18
The Greater Glory of the New Covenant
7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Jesus is God and he changed his old laws.
In Acts chapter 10 we see a change in the laws as applied to diet. Also, Colossians 2 v 16 and 17 make it clear that certain O.T. laws were shadows of which Christ is the reality.

@@dochollywood79 your assuming salvation isn’t forever. Theology is more than one answer.
Commandments and they are for "everybody" even for the people in the New Testament and the World ! Jesus Christ came to fulfill the Law. Which is why we don't sacrifice sheep or anything else at the alter. But we should all keep the Commandments.
Jennifer Schmidt um no. In fact that is completely the opposite of what acts 15 is saying and just so anyone can see for themselves I am posting it below.

"Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"--to whom we gave no such commandment--"
The apostles never commanded the early church to follow Old Testament law. Ever.

Always remember that when Christ was on earth the old covenant was still in place for Israel. The Jews were still required to follow the law of Moses. We are under the new covenant in Christ. Christ Jesus fulfilled the law so we could be righteous by faith in him.

John 14-------- 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
Christ commands us to follow his word. Moses was for Israel. Christ is for us.
This has been the ONLY rational, ethical and moral answer I've found.
Most importantly, it's the biblical answer.
The law of Christ is what Gods word teaches so it is most definitely the moral and ethical answer.

Galatians 2--------- 16 yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
1:17-
Do we have a reason and a foundation for what we are saying?
Yes.
The good reason is that we must read the Bible in terms of its storyline,
in terms of its covenantal development.
Some of those commands are still required for today, but they are required:
NOT BECAUSE it is part of the Old Covenant
BUT BECAUSE the NT “indicates” that they are part of “the law of Christ.”
-----
So, when we read the Scripture, we are not being arbitrary or whimsical or just picking up the commands we want to obey.
The NT focuses on love of God and love of neighbor, and then, it sketches in for us, “OK, here is what love looks like in broad strokes.”
But we are fundamentally called upon to imitate Jesus Christ, to follow in His footsteps.
We see what the love of God is like in the Cross of Jesus Christ and in the self-giving love for others, and that is what God calls us to do as Christians.
Amen
We’re free from the consequences but its not abolished. “if you love me, keep my (10) commandments”, “joy in the law”
(6) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter." Romans 7
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. " Galatians 5:22
If you fulfill the obligations of your old car contract, and start a new one, you don't pay both. Many misguided on this page.
Wow, spot on!
Period.
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

Yes. Because God never changes or change his mind
John is also clear on what commandments we are to follow in 1 John 3
23 And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.
Amen, law is still valid today !
The NT clearly teaches we as Christian's are not under the law
Romans 6:14 is one clear example of that: For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

If the laws were given to only Israel and not the gentiles then how are we free from the laws if they were never given to us in the 1st place?

Understanding the difference between Old Testament (OT) and New Testament(NT)
The New Testament is OLDER than the Old Testament/Covenant.
For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us”
When God commanded the children of Israel to keep the Sabbath, it was all about the rest that Christ would give to the believers/saints or those whom God chose before the foundation of the world.
Hi
You have done a mighty writing work. I think we cannot get rid of shadows until all is finished. The shadows point to the heavenly reality.
The Feasts of God are still mightily prophetic with more iterations before the millenium is ushered in & before all is finished and Christ & the Father dwell with us in the New Jerusalem on the new Earth.
Isaiah 66 : 23 says new moons & Sabbaths will still be celebrated in that time too.

MATTHEW 22:35-40
35 And one of them, versed in the Law,asked, testing him:
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah* your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’
38 This is the greatest and first commandment.
39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”
God bless. ☝🏻🙏🙂
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Galatians 1:6-9
6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

Amen brother, I heard the church might even be the mark of the best as well... mathew 7 21-23. Can anyone give me clarity here?

[2]For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3]But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
