    I do this trip regularly. The charging infrastructure in Spain has improved greatly over the years. Next time try going through the mountains of Geres to Ourense it’s beautiful. Also to get rid of the annoying speed warning install the s3xy button.

    to probably fix cameras: Reset the DAS
    Go to Settings > Software > (Enter service mode) > Driver Assist > Camera > Reset DAS
    Enter Service Mode
    Follow these instructions when the car is parked:
    From the “Software” settings, tap and hold the logo “Model Y” for a few seconds
    After the keyboard is displayed, type “service” and agree to the next prompt to enter Service mode (indicated by a thick red border that says SERVICE MODE)

      He said it in the video that he needs to reset the DAS, however you provided good info for others in case they run into similar issue.

    Nice video! Portuguese here, from Lisbon, living in Madrid for over 15 years now. I own a M3LR and I feel that public chargers are cheaper in Madrid when compared to Lisboa (with the exception of SuC, which are actually cheaper in PT than in ES). If you ever get back feel free to let me know in case you need to charge your car at my place! 😊

    The tunnel system under madrid is amazing. Its been 8 years since i last visited, but i was amazed, and terrified i would take a romg exit and the sat nav wouslnt be able refeesh under there and id have been proper screwed.
    We was parked inder the royal palace and it was almost hitting 60 degrees down there. There was a massive queue to get out the car park and my air con was seriously stuggling, in my brand new car!
    Lovely city.

    Well. Its true, in Portugal, in Spain, and... at any other country population is concentrated at big cities, and, in countries with it, at seaside... BUTTTT in A25, that you travel... you could visit Viseu (4 ou 5th biggest city in Portugal and Mangualde, and of course Guarda. Here it is the list of Municipalities (in the country side): number 7, 14, 16, 19ish, 20, 23, 25, 26, 29, 35, and so on). it was a pleasure.

    • @FSO_PT
      @FSO_PT 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@franciscojprata Yes! You are right!!! (my bad: excluding the seaside cities) It is the 25th on the 308 municipalities in Portugal (there are 26 with over 100 000 inhabitants. 19 have between 100 and 200 000). For me, is the number one city. Not better for two reasons: doesn't have (direct) train connections and I don´t live there :)

    Can't help but notice that you have had the issue with your camera for quite some time now. Is Tesla unable to fix it or you just didn't have a chance to take it for service? I am quite worried if this is a common issue. Great video by the way, love the scenery. I made a roadtrip around Spain one time and it was amazing, hope to do that again when I get my Tesla.

      @europeinatesla  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I haven't actually sent my Tesla in yet - I'm sure they'll fix it if I sent it to them... I'll keep you guys posted and make a video if I ever do send it in and get an explanation as to why it's doing it.
      Thank you!! When are you getting your tesla??

    •  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@europeinatesla Thank you, great, hopefully they will be able to fix it. I am waiting for the Juniper as I need a bigger car for family and big dog, also I really want the vented seats and rear screen. I will probably wait a bit before they iron out the first issues in production, so probably end of the year.

    When calculating the cost of charging did you include the real cost? For example, the 36 euros seems to be only including the 2 charging stops and it’s missing charging back from 17% back to 100%?

    sorry what are the laws regarding superchargers in portugal? PS Really enjoying the content thanks!Thanks

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      basically (high-level understanding) is that the Portuguese government imposed rules on EV chargers - which makes all chargers available to everybody but it also means that there are various fees that need to be paid (to the supplier of the charger, the supplier of the electricity, and some government fees) - this makes the public chargers very expensive and Tesla doesn't want to opt-in to this programme as it makes the charging very expensive (main reason) but also allows others to use their SuCs (which I don't think is the actual reason). So right now, they are just operating their SuCs that were installed prior to this new law and they haven't been able to release any new ones

    • @mariocarneiro7237
      @mariocarneiro7237 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In Portugal, any company that wants to install chargers on public roads must make them available to all users, of all brands. Tesla did not want to make them available, so it cannot have chargers on public roads or on highways. It has to install them. on private land such as hotels...

      I like it, although I've been mainly using it for Spotify in Carplay (easier to use than the main spotify app on the main screen) - this model of the screen is vented so the air does come through the bottom gap - but I would say it blocks around 30-40% of the airflow

      Every summer and Christmas, i travel all the way from the Netherlands to portugal with my parents so we can visit our family. It's quite a long trip but it's totally worth it! + There's some very cool supercharger locations on the route, like the one in burgos spain, and i must tell it's a really beautiful supercharger! and roye France, which has a whopping 32 chargers! It has its own waiting room with a vending machine and toilets. If you are ever near one of these locations, i definitely recommend stopping by and taking a look! And yeah, those V4s are amazing! I actually was at the opening day of the first V4 supercharger in the world in harderwijk Netherlands!

      That has to be wrong. He said at 76mph too. So normal highway speed, not liek he was doing 120! Id be asking tesla so serious questions.
      My cupra Born, which is not an efficient car, a far more fun car, will get 200 miles at 70mph, just dropping down below 10%. And about 240-260 around town depending on tiem of year.
      215km there must be somthing broken. Thats was 125ish miles?

      @StephenButlerOne 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@alinsimion3630 I believe you. I saw it too? But it's just cat be right, there must be an issue with the car.
      The one thing Tesla gets right is range.so this just doesn't make sense. Now it it said 215 miles, I'd be yep that's ok, which would be slightly better than mine with a slightly smaller battery. The Tesla is more efficient, or should be.
      My Cupra born is a 60kw battery, I'm sure he said his Tesla was 56Kw, given Tesla's are more efficient. They should be quite close on range. Mine will do 200 miles at 70mph.
      I'll usually use 180 +/- miles in 3 hours on the UK motorways, and them I'll have a 20 mins stop, to do it again if needed. 3 hours is about the range of my bladder now I'm in my 40s. And 20 mins is perfect to use the toilet and buy a coffee. The car is about done as I'm getting back to it.
      I'll always move the max charge to 100, as if you have it at 80% and the charger turns off you get fined £1 per min your not charging at UK Tesla stations. Which is a good thing, but they charge that fast, I'll bump the max to 100, as the toast 20% tank take as long as the first 80% it gives you wriggle room.

    • @europeinatesla
      @europeinatesla  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@StephenButlerOne note that the 76mph is average over the full distance so there are times (most times actually that are way beyond that speed...) If i manage to drive at a maximum speed of 76mph (not average speed), it'd definitely get at least 350km (220mi) range
