Okay being irritating and knit picky here, but the whole portion with average reviews doesn't hold water. If it were accurate, it would apply a logarithmic scale to the weight of a review; because the difference in quality between a 4 and a 6 is so much less than the difference in quality between a 6 and an 8, it would be ridiculous to account for each score on a 1:1 score.
In fact, fantano gives a plethora of 8's, far more than the number of his 3's, meaning he probably gives an unbelievable number of 4's and 5's to compensate. This is natural, because most music with trend towards mediocrity.
However, because music is not measured by the quality of the average, but more often by the best and worst of the genre, this logarithmic scale is better suited for fantanos review system.
And if you used this logarithmic scale, I bet you would find that he actually has a much stronger bias towards metal and avant shit than this website would let on.
