Totally different story fro me with The King Of Limbs. Though I initially felt the labum was sorta boring and flat, I ended up loving the hell out of every single song of it.
Simple Guy I'm the same. In Rainbows is still my favorite Radiohead album, which automatically made any follow-up a difficult feat to successfully pull off, largely because IR was so damn good, that no matter how good the follow-up would be, it would de facto pale in comparison. With that said, King Of Limbs was a bore to me at first. About half-a-year later, though, it grew on me. Massively. It still pales in comparison to In Rainbows, but it's a damn fine album, w nary a boring track on it, imo. I saw them live on both tours, both times near Cleveland, and I even liked the KotL setlist and show better than IR.
Yeah, I didn't quite agree with his points against it either. I think he focused too much on things like "what genre the album was going for" or "what it meant to their career as a whole", which aren't a good measure of the quality in my opinion. I thought it had some interesting ideas. There were definitely some extremely cool rhythmic concepts on this album. It's the only time I've ever seen two drummers implemented in a non gimmicky way. They actually created beats that cannot be done with one person, and just did really cool stuff like mixing different subdivisions simultaneously. I wish he would have given SOME credit to that creativity. I think Fantano listens to music very differently than I do, and that's sort of why I like hearing his opinion, but I don't know, I just thought he focused on the wrong things with King of Limbs.

I appreciate this video a lot, and the intent behind it (as well as what you said about the 2 Chainz and Danny Brown records), even though I still like Hotsaucecomittee a lot, and i think King of Limbs is tied for my favorite (with AMSP, and lately, Kid A) of Radiohead, but more so, their "most flawless" record, and one of the weirdest dance albums ive ever heard. It's mood is so hard to characterize, because it's tense and a little empty, but cathartic and haunting. i love the rhythm-based direction theyve been going in this century, and this record helped me get through some rough mental health times with its strange, minimal inspiration to dance and ponder and be sad, until the 2nd part of Separator where the guitars come in ("i fell open/i laid under") and feels like a little bit of hope drips in to a dreary everyday life. idk, i like how economical the songs and production are, like the Robert Bresson idea of "getting rid of all but what's essential from the work." it's grown a lot on me over the years (weirdly, the opposite of OK Computer for me.)
Me: Oh he has TKOL on here. I really like that album, I think it's still a valiant Radiohead effort. Maybe Fantano thinks that now too? Fantano: "I like it even less than I did then." Me: "I'm not here. This isn't happening."

Thank you for giving credit to The Hybrid, Anthony!
Very underrated album. XXX is easily my favourite hip-hop record of all time, and Hybrid was a very nice jumping off point so it's cool hearing praise!
2:23 - 2:36 your take on 2 Chainz is exactly how I feel about Riff Raff. At least the old Riff, his lyrics aren't as whimsical anymore.
I've been echoing your sentiments on the MIA album for YEARS. THANK YOU FOR SPREADING THE WORD ANTHONY
Separator from King of Limbs is my favorite Radiohead song.
No MBDTF, you know what this means, right ? prepare all your pitchforks. we're going to overthrow this melon.

Whoa, you finally acknowledged that MBDTF is a 10/10? DAMN.
i always liked m.i.a.'s third record and alsways wondered why everybody hated it so much. didn't see that death grips connection before, though. now that you've mentioned it, it is quite obvious :-D
This turned me onto the Hybrid when it originally came out, **youtube recommendation**, and it’s one of my favorite albums. Thank you melon❤️

14:09 DAMN
EARL*
Makaveli The Don the melon said damn 😂
I know that i was just joking too
TheIronMan01 and at 4:13.
Did anthony see that video by the Washington Post about that negative Sgt Peppers review?
So glad to see IDLSIDGO on here. Was very surprised by your initial vid on it.
The King Of Limbs is one of those albums that you appreciate a lot more if you are a musician yourself.
I love it, it's so underrated
the funny thing is that Anthony is actually a musician. he is just somewhere other than King of Limbs ig
@@atlassolid5946 it must be a facade
@@eeeeeeeeeddddd which part do you think is a facade?
@@atlassolid5946 Fantano, fake person

muzza307 or the Perfect LUV Tape. There's some bangers on there
I knew your thoughts on MAYA would change. her best album undoubtedly
all her albums are amazing except AIM
Me: Oh he has TKOL on here. I really like that album, I think it's still a valiant Radiohead effort. Maybe Fantano thinks that now too?
Fantano: "I like it even less than I did then."
Me: "I'm not here. This isn't happening."
Realthony Nigtanos enjoy quality content!
Jeremy L
Can’t believe he changed MBDTF from a 6 to a light 0 just because he remembered that ye was black
woah why did you just give the money store a light 3
*You forgot when you didn't give every Young Thug album a 10/10 but then changed your mind and gave them a 10/10*
