    Thank you so so much for this touching and important history, and insight into a man who's work I have long studied and has prfoundly influnced our world in ways most folks will never know. What a great historical novel or play their tortured love and profound ideas would make.

    There is an ocean of information about Ludwig Wittgenstein on the internet. A very long Wikipedia article does mention Francis Skinner, who has his own short article near the end. There is also a free webinar "school of life" site that mentions Ludwig Wittgenstein's philosophy and death from cancer at age 62 in 1952. They also mention his possible homosexual tendencies with various other people besides Skinner, but details on the exact nature of this are lacking. Thanks for an interesting posting.

    Wittengstein sounds like an interesting recluse...psych issues? Poor Francis was being strung along.
