Hello! Would you say pain in the front of the shoulder is anything to worry about even though I can still move my arm with a small level of pain only?

I fell about a month ago and I hurt my left shoulder. At first it only hurt with movements but now the top of my arm throbs constantly with pain, especially at night. My doctor wants me to do 6 weeks of PT before he does a MRI. I’m wondering if that will make the pain worse?

This helped describe my pain and I have an x-ray scheduled for tomorrow so I can get an MRI approval. No known injury caused it.... Could it be from sleeping on it won't for a very long time? Now that it hurts I notice it most when I go to lay on that side of if I'm on the opposite side and gravity pulls it forward and down. Just turned 40 and literally falling apart lol
