in comparison with other many video here with Pavarotti singing "Nessun dorma" she's been the only one without interrupting from the beginning to the end just to express some unuseless comment. She waited for the end, she had the right feelings and she paid the right attention. Brava

As an African-American opera singer, I am happy to see people discovering Pavarotti and even creating videos of listener's reaction, also the comments in response. We may not hear another voice like his for some time, so no matter what we look like we can all appreciate his greatness.
Do you think most of the Americans on TH-cam claiming that they've never heard of Pavarotti and never heard this song before can be telling the truth? People from most countries (like the uploader of this video) who are doing it, I can believe, just because I've not been exposed to enough of most countries' media to have any impression of whether or not they'd have heard it. But I've been exposed to enough US culture to know that certain pieces of certain arias get used in movies, TV advertisements etc., just as they are in my country. This is one of the arias that here, everybody has heard, through TV advertisements, talent shows, things like that. Is it just that it's not one of the most frequently heard in America, and some adults genuinely won't have heard it? I hope so, otherwise I can't trust certain TH-camrs' music reactions to be honest anymore.
Thank you for not stopping the video while Luciano Pavarotti sang. Your reaction to this beautiful aria from Turandot was so genuine and real. We all remember the first time we heard Pavarotti and it was life-changing.
Actually, it was God who gave him this magnificent voice! I don't know what Angels singing is like, but Pavarotti must have come very close to them. :)
I have seen these u tube clips showing different people listening to Pavarotti, and the more l hear his voice the more intense l feel how great his voice was. He takes my breath away.
The very best tenor to ever have lived and here he is singing the epitome of tenor arias. Flawless, with power and passion as only this man could achieve. His expression at the conclusion shows just how moved he was to share his gift with all who would listen. Bravo & thank you for sharing.
When the grand maestro pavarotti sings, we feel the emotions that comes over everybody,,,, its very very difficult to explain what happen in words.... and that is what happen to the beauty Miss T. .... true reactions... speechless,,,, like everybody.... :)
Seeing your open-mouthed astonishment throughout the aria and several seconds after was priceless. Those of us who know and love "Nessun dorma" and can recognize Pavarotti's voice anywhere, we know what you're feeling. Happens to us every time. Glad you got to experience it and enjoy it.
I've heard Pavarotti sing this aria many times, but never fail to be moved by it. It's an unforgettable experience, & it's wonderful to see.your WOW, 👏WOW reaction.
I’ve listened to this probably a thousand times and it brings me to tears every time. Now it makes me happy seeing people listen to it for the first time. Your breathlessness, your surprise, your elation that someone can make something that sounds so beautiful

Thank you for sharing this (master)piece of Italian Opera, you show to have a very sensible soul for music; Pavarotti made Italians much pride, but in reality he belongs to all mankind, and it's no necessary to know italian to appreciate him (and his powerful performances, like this). 🇮🇹
I always think there is hope for humanity when I listen to this..That humans can imagine it, write it, produce and sing something so beautiful ....we will win, we will win
The voice of God on Earth, Pavarotti and this song brings me to tears each time I hear it. Nessun dorma is sung during the final act of Turandot, an opera by Giacomo Puccini, 1926.
I played in an orchestra concert once where the last piece on the program was performed so well that the audience, rather than applaud at the end, sat in silence for what seemed like an eternity. Eventually they began to applaud (quite loudly, I must say). After the concert, rather than talk about our performance, all we musicians talked about was "the Silence." I noticed that after Nessun Dorma was over, you were silent for 25 seconds. That's the power of great music. 🙂
this is the most perfect matching of Pavarottis perfect singing and Puccinis wonderful dramatic music..... what many peoply might not know, Giacomo Puccini could not finish this Opera called "Turandot" , he died before he could wrote the final duet. That means he never saw and heard his own opera and never "Nessun Dorma" live on a stage..... I am sure if he could hear this version with Pavarotti he would cry for joy and enthusiasm.
Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! None shall sleep! None shall sleep! On your mouth, lo dirò quando la luce splenderà! I will say it when the light shines! Ed il mio bacio scioglierà And my kiss will dissolve il silenzio che ti fa mia! the silence that makes you mine! (coro: il nome suo nessun saprà e noi dovrem ahimè morir, morir) - chorus: (No one will know his name and we must, alas, die, die.) Dilegua, o notte! Tramontate, stelle! Tramontate, stelle! Vanish, o night! Fade, you stars! Fade, you stars! All'alba, vincerò! At dawn, I will win! Vincerò! Vincerò! I will win! I will win!
Welcome to the world of opera...where you don't even need to understand a word to feel the emotion!!! Enjoy the journey!!💜🎶🎼🎵 Nessun Dorma means no sleep in Italian.
The late Pavarotti was a lyric tenor, the central male voice in Puccini's operas, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, La Boheme. Turandot was the last opera he composed and, in fact, died November 29, 1924 leaving 2 scenes unfinished. They were finished by a friend, Franco Alfana and the opera had its debut on April 25, 1926. If you like the voice of the lyric tenor I suggest you search Andrea Bocelli on TH-cam as well as Rolando Villazon singing Una Fortima Lagrima. I am delighted the late Luciano Pavarotti has opened a new window for you.
