  • Winds from 22-45 miles/h (10 to 20 m/s) Makes the windturbine sounds very strange some times in the gusts. 150 meters of cable (500 feet) 3 phase 4mm2 (11awg)
    resoults in 300watt of powerloss at 26A and 53 volts so max power indicated
    1375W plus 300w loss in my cable = 1675W in total!

      @@flyingtools Hej! The I-1000 is now working very fine, after a year of use.
      And I got also the dc/dc converter as you did. I think that works fine with low wind speeds but I am not sure if I want to leave it definitely. If you have any comment to help me in the decision making process, I really appreciate that.
      I am happy to see you growing in TH-cams views and in hardware. Keep it up, sir!

    Brilliant video. Missed that one, just found it. I know you've sold your turbine but don't you miss the fun of it (and the danger!🤣). Solar is definitely more cost effective but it's nice to see my i1500 charging my battery bank on a grey very windy very rainy day here in Scotland!. The dump loads with 12v pc fans are keeping my pet goat warm for free too. !

    Yeah from reading your description my initial thoughts were correct. You need a heavier line to handle that load without so much losses.

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, I mention that at 2:08 and you can also se me do a voltage drop/power loss test here:
      th-cam.com/video/iddzVztckZQ/w-d-xo.html
      You should not take this too serious because it is built more fun, and to be honest, I had to say that I think that it actually works better than I expected. If I had to use the correct gauge on the wires, this project never had happened in the first place. Thank you for your comment anyway.😊

    Great videos! I too am an enthusiast and own multiple Ista breeze products. In my opinion, if you´re to be off grid, wind turbines are only a help to the solar. It will help maintain your batteries charged. Never expect to power your house with only a wind turbine or two.

    great video , I think you should try to put a bigger tale on the turbine . I think you lose a lot off power because it's not straight in the wind a lot of time .
    It's very gusty wind there and i'ts not tracking right , it swings to much . Just put a extra aluminium plate on the tale and try it out .

    Kul att se en video från Sverige med en ista Breeze snurra! Är själv i planeringsstadiet att testa antingen en Heli 2.0 eller 4.0 med maximalt tillåtna höjd på masten dvs. 20m. Är du nöjd med snurran överlag?

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hej, och va kul att du tycker det! 😃 Ja, jag är jättenöjd, den ger mer än vad jag hade förväntat mig. Kvaliteten känns helt ok för dom pengarna. Infästningen mot röret kunde varit annorlunda, jag valde att slitsa mitt rör och klämma ihop det med typ en avgasklämma samtidigt som jag givetvis använder de två originalbultarna ihop med locktight, då sitter den rejält. En längre mast hade förmodligen ökat antalet kilowatt timmar men på grund av de regler som råder kan jag ej göra den längre i nu läget. Jag har provat med både fem och tre blad, jag föredrar tre blad då det känns som vindsnurran varvar lättare. Jag rekommenderar också någon form av en Mppt tracker då den annars inte ge dig någon ström alls om det inte blåser typ tio sekundmeter.
      Detta blev visst väldigt långt svar
      men jag hoppas det underlättar för dig i ditt val av vindturbin.
      Stort tack för din kommentar☺️

    The panning and large fluctuations in power output are caused by turbulence the machine is experiencing because the tower is too short.
    With a taller tower that gets the machine up 40' above everything within 400', you would see power output max out and stay there.

    • @flyingtools
      @flyingtools  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you are right about that, but sadly due to the Swedish regulations, I’m not allowed too do that.

      Det fungerar bättre än jag förväntat mig. Trefas ledning 5gx2,5 där två faser använder två ledare och den tredje bara en, så över förväntan helt klart. Kabeln skall senare läggas i rör, detta var mest ett test för att se om det fungerar.

      That sounds like a great idea. Just be aware that you get only half of the power at the same windspeed. A 1500w 48v will produce 750w on 24v. But rather something than nothing. Personally I think I will buy a MPPT tracker later on.

      Hi. I know what you mean. It has to be really windy before it generate some good power. I went from 5 to 3 blades. It spins faster and it generate more power in good wind. 5 blades will probably work better in low wind conditions together with an mppt controller. Good luck to you.
