hi, I am in a process of designing my system and watched all your videos. Found them very useful and helpful. Thank you for that. Before i go ahead and finaly start puting it together, i wanted to ask. Did you add any battery pre-charge contactor with resistor in series, to charge the HV battery with lower current at the very start and also condition it a bit when cold outside? I didnt anything about it on the videos. Or can you set that from the Solax inverter? For example to charge with 2-3A for x number of minutes and gradually bring it up to 30A or whatever your settings are? Or is the Solax doing it automatically ( programmed to do it).Thanks a lot, Ross !

Är inte detta perfekt projekt för elkonvertering? Synd att motor var i hyggligt skick iof. Jag har 1,5 halv övergiven volvo-traktor från typ samma era, de har dock stått ute, men övervägt att släpa hem för elkonvertering.

Så coolt att det finns sådana lador kvar och att det fanns en Grålle också!! 🤩 Det blir spännande att följa! Kul med en traktor som rullat i bygden och man kan få reda på historiken om. Patinan är ju fantastisk! 😃

I would bet bifacial panels would be better in such tracking systems as opposed to ground mount or roof mount. Probably would gain you another 10-15%.

That was a really cool project! I owned a VW Jetta MK2 back in 1986 and still have a damaged Audi E-tron in the Garage. They asked for 26.000 Euro to replace 2 damaged battery modules and the damaged front engine. Insane. Looking forward to order a BMS in China to make something usefull out of the Samsung SDI battery packs.

Looks like tracker motors consumed power from panel.

Hello, I am in the process of purchasing a Daly 16S 48V 100A BMS. I already have my ID3 module, my 0Z1971690T cable on order. On my BMS it says Lifepo4 but the seller assured me that I can change Li-ion. Do you think this is ok?

"Nothing special" huh! Snyggt jobbat!! Fick precis problem med min DQ200. Igår hoppade den ur 2:ans växel. Stod "Bromsa!" i displayen. Inga övriga varningsmeddelanden alls. När jag stannat och bromsat kunde jag köra vidare. Diagnos med OBDeleven säger dock p084100 "Fluidsensor 1 orimlig signal" Intermittent. Körde lite livedata och det är inget fel med oljetrycket. Håller sig inom spec. Anmält till försäkringsbolag och åberopar maskinskadeförsäkring. Tankar kring detta? Önska mig lycka till 😢

I'm happy for you that this is possible. In Denmark it would be practically impossible unless you had a metric s*it tonne of money to throw at testing and documentation, which makes "revive old car" unfeasible.

I have found out last week that only 53 should have been built of this generation. There was also a Citystromer for the GOLF Mark 3 later. Good to have passed the MOT.

You have 20 kWh more than my 2018 e-Golf 7. As you know I love your work. In Spain it would be impossible to get the vehicle documentation. Administration would ask us for some engineering reports justifying all the modifications made to the original vehicle. Enjoy your “new” car and show us travel and consumption videos.

Congratulations! I am also planning a build with Resolve EV and starting with a 24kWh Leaf. So I am interested in how you plan to handle the BMS discrepancy on capacity.. Do you plan to upgrade just the BMS to, say the 62kWh Leaf BMS, or do you think you will find a 3rd party solution that will still work with the Leaf / Resolve system? Is the discrepancy caused by the different storage capacity, or the numbers of cells being less than originally? Thanks.
