I'd like to point something out. There is SO MUCH debate on who would win in a duel between Sidious and Vitiate. But people forget that Vitiate has shared experiences. Revan was seen as one of the best users of a lightsaber of his time, and since Vitiate planted part of himself into Revan's subconscious, as well as any other skilled lightsaber users, which would still give him the knowledge of how to wield the infamous tool. Nihilus vs vitiate is an incredibly interesting possibility, and it really could have happened if vitiate chose to reveal himself during nihilus reign over the galaxy, but vitiate would be like a 5 star buffet for nihilus, vitiates power in the force would send nihilus into a state of unhinged hunger, but vitiate has insane powers that nihilus could only dream of, including warping one’s mind to his singular will, but I imagine there fight would end in a battle of force drain between the two, they have both force drained planets and they both are walking wounds in the force, nihilus is said to be able to drain any force sensitive, however vitiates powers and abilities especially within the mind might be a checkmate for nihilus, but if nihilus is able to fend off vitiates attacks then it would go into a battle of force drain and who would win is entirely up for debate
I agree, I always got the feeling that vitiate over his millennia of existing, unlocked secrets no one ever did before. The power of life drain isn’t unique to Nihilus, just the scale, and I’m sure many powerfull Jedi and sith knew how to counter this ability on a normal scale. I think if anyone could could resist Nihilus in that way, it would be vitiate, and with time to prepare and plan, I think that vitiate would likely come out on top.

It could also imagine it also being his undoing as it might bring him to a point of hunger that he just couldn’t sate in enough time.

Idk imo I don't think Vitiate could use his abilities to infiltrate Nihilus' mind. I think even if he did it would break him as he wouldn't be able to deal with Nihilus' inner mind. The hunger being mainly the only thing Nihilus can think about most times I think that unending hunger with in Nihilus' mind would send Vitiate insane and possibly turn him cabbaged lol
At this point, I think they said Sidious was the most powerful Sith based on lore. In terms of feats and actual concrete evidence, Vitiate stands in a tier of his own.
Vitiate/Valkorian is that guy he was so powerful sith and Jedi had to team up to take him on . Sidious didn't have to compete with other powerful sith lord like Vitiate did.
Darth Vitiate/Emperor Valkorion is the most powerful sith in all of Star Wars. If he returned during the Clone Wars, he would plot from the shadows by exposing Palpatine as a traitor and a sith Lord to the Republic. This would lead to the Republic placing their trust into Vitiate by voting him as Supreme Chancellor. Not only that, He'll have complete control over Coruscant before he continues to resurrect the Eternal Empire from within. However, the Jedi Order will disband after they sense the power he has over the force. Which leads toEmperor Valkorion sending his assassins to hunt down the Jedi Knights one by one. As for the clone troopers, he'll have them executed as well. He'll then turn his sights on the chosen one, Anakin Skywalker despite knowing that Anakin would reach his full potential. And the weapon that Darth Vitiate will use against Anakin would be his two children, luke and leia.
I would like say Valkorian is second Sidious is by EU feats the most powerful Force-user in history. He was capable of generating Force Storms that come close to planet-busting in their power. Revan was small potatoes by comparison just in terms of raw destruction, even though his strategies were legitimately brilliant rather than being incredibly stupid and contrived (but that's more that his games were better-written than the prequels). In terms of fighting ability with just the lightsaber, Palpatine was a match for Windu, arguably the best Jedi swordsman, although Windu and Luke Skywalker were both able to narrowly defeat him, he was nevertheless effortlessly able to dismantle three Jedi Masters. It's his ability with The Force that swings it, though. He's able to tap into the life-force of whole planets to sustain himself, extend his life by transferring his consciousness via the Force to other bodies, and of course his ability to generate wormholes capable of killing the populations of entire planets. It got to a point where he became a nexus of the Dark Side of the Force, capable of damaging the fabric of spacetime with his very presence. It's his ability with The Force that swings it, though. I've always had a bit of a love-hate perspective on this particular Sith. On the one hand his story is pretty awesome; and on the other he's a big narrative part of the game that effectively ensured we'd never get KOTOR 3.
SWTOR isn't why we never got KOTOR 3. That was a DISNEY decision and had NOTHING to do with SWTOR. It seems you have also forgotten another extremely important reason why we never got KOTOR 3 which is because of the failure of KOTOR 2 and how incomplete that game was. KOTOR 2's failure is one of the biggest reasons why Disney decided to go with a MMO instead of making a KOTOR 3.

Most of Vitiate's vest fears weren't just him. They often requited long, convoluted rituals with loads of prep, artifacts or devices that amplified or enhanced power and/or outside help/power from others to accomish. It's one of the contextual reasons why Vitiate is NOT in fact, more powerful than Sidious.
@@justinanderson2460 LMFAO. Yes, Vitiate was absolutely more powerful than Sidious. Just because Vitiate was smart enough to take advantage of and drain other people of their powers to enhance his own doesn't make him weaker. You seem to forget that a lot of the Ancient Sith's power was based on complex rituals and artifacts that enhanced their powers through sorcery. Thr Banite line of Sith were generally more focussed on their personal power. Tulak Hord's claim to fame was his lightsaber skill but even that has context since he was often duelling against Sith Force Blade purists who were largely unfamiliar with lightsabers. Sure he was a power house with the Force too but I've seen little to suggest he was on the level of the most powerful force users.
After doing some research for my myself on this Sith Emperor, I would say he is the most powerful Sith Lord to have ever lived. That could just be my opinion though. My top three mostpowerful Sith Lords are Darth Sidious, Darth Vitiate, and Darth Krayt. As an honorable mention, I would put Darth Reven and Darth Bane somewhere in between my top five most powerful Sith
Still don't know how Sidious is considered so powerful. He literally reaped the legwork of every Dark Jedi and Sith Lord ever, and then got chucked down a reactor shaft after a 20 year rule. Even including Legends, his feats were minimal compared to the majority of the most powerful of Dark Side Force users.

He is vitiate and valkorion at the same time. Tenebrae was able to split his spirit into multiple bodies. Search for the children of the emperor for a glimpse of his power.
Vitiate was named his Sith Lord name and title by Ragnos. He was not named Darth because during Ragnos’ reign he did not want the competitions that came with it. Lords can only be appointed by a lord while the title of Darth can be taken by their apprentices. Vitiate wanted this in his empire because it would distract his followers from working together to overthrow him.
What are you talking about? During his regin there are plenty of Darths alongside the Lords, so if that was Vitiates plan he somehow screwed up big time cause the entire dark council can only hold a seat if they have the title of Darth, but there was also many Sith who had the title of Darth but wasnt a member of the Dark council.
Palpatine: Mastered all 7 Lightsaber Forms, Ended Jedi Dominance through Order 66. Dies by his own lightning twice. Valkorion: Becomes a Sith God via Nathema Ritual and ruled for 1,500 years. Dies by power of friendship(I meant trapping his essence in Satele Shan, then getting destroyed completely by all the Jedi and Sith he wronged.)
Any of the ancient Sith were far more powerful than Sidious. That's why the ancient Sith in their immortality couldn't stand Sidious. Sidious rejected the ancient ways of the dark side which made him weaker.

@@lemonboychris Sidious used telepathy and force dominate mind combine to control the crownies of the empire from his palace while studying the dark side where he learned all the powers the ancient Sith mastered. He even discovered new powers such as force storms that could annihilate a planet.
@@MagusMortloch here's why you are in the wrong.... The ancient Sith hated Sidious for a number of valid factual reasons. One big one was how Sidious was obsessed and far too close to the Jedi. Even in "Revenge of the Sith" Sidious made the comment to Vader that they needed "to move quickly" because the Jedi would "butcher them like cattle" if they had found out what they did and were planning to do. Sidious was weak to admit that. The ancient Sith were very different. They stayed away from the Jedi because they knew that would make them weaker in the dark side. It was a needless distraction. The potency of the dark side was at its greatest with the ancient Sith. They had dark side sciences and magics that far surpassed the a-typical technologies. They had weapons and icons that were cursed with the dark side that would render a wounded enemy incurable. My favorite were Sith war blades. That's why the ancient Sith didn't like lightsabers and saw them as weaker weapons. Some rode dragons that were cursed by the dark side and it was effortless for them to kill Jedi. They led entire armies of Sith warriors into battle. The ancient Sith would also become immortal in the force after death. That's why they laughed at Sidious because of essence transfer. Take, for example, Darth Malgus in the Old Republic. Despite having cybernetic attachments he could still use dark side lightning because of the Sith magics and alchemy of the time. And Vader? Nope. Even around the time of "A New Hope" Sidious actually went to the Sith home world of Korriban and attempted to make demands on them. They laughed at him and beat him within an inch of his life. He had no chance. They viewed the "Rule of Two" as a weak mockery of what they were supposed to be as an empire. They rightfully viewed Sidious and Vader as a bunch of cry baby noobs. Fact. Your argument is invalid.
The rule of 2 was genius. The ancient Sith Lords failed to wipe out the Jedi and take over the galaxy, and one of the reasons for that is that they betrayed each others which ultimate lead to their defeats. Sidious did where they all failed and after becoming Emperor he drained the life essence of billions if not trillions to increase his powers. He was able to consume a planet such as Byss without any use of complex ritual. He was literally a black hole in the force. Sidious's high force sensitivity combined with his genius level of intellect allowed him to learn all force powers and powers in the dark side there was known and use them in the most cunning way to take over the galaxy and rule it for 20 years, and if his clone bodies were not destroyed he would have lived forever in oppose to Vitiate who was in constant danger of ending in Chaos (which he eventually did).
If there were a film that included the line "Somehow, Vitiate returned" after he had been thrown down a shaft, I would have no trouble believing that. Vitiate is so strong & so full of life, that it would make perfect sense for him to return; all the more so, as he had knowledge of the future.
Just great m8, atlast the truth has been reviled, Valkorian outshines evryone els, jedi and sith a like, for as u say, he had outgrown the ways of the sith and had besome a powerfull force-user
Vitiate s such a powerful and deadliest Sith Lord to ever had lived, that he nearly reached the level of godhood and that in order to stop him it took the alliance of the combined might of the Galaxy at large:republic and its Jedi, Sith empire and all other non alliances worlds to finally defeat and destroy him for good.

I thought Marka Ragnos, who also gave Tenebrae the name "Darth Vitiate," was supposedly the most powerful Sith in SW history? Small edit: at 16:00 - it wasn't Marka Ragnos who led the Sith Empire to near ruin, that was Naga Sadow
Its funny that people say Sidious is stronger than Vitiate, but Sidious wasnt even able to give Anakin what he seeked the most. Saving Padme from Death. But Vitiate knew the secret. Vitiate was able to boost others strength, health and even share the immortality he has obtained (even though it comes with a huge cost). Vitiate could have made Padme immortal just like he shared it with Lord Scourge. The best way to describe Vitiate and why he is this strong is one of his own quotes: "A man can have anything if he is willing to sacrifice". He sacrificed Nathema to gain immortality and he was about to sacrifice the entire galaxy to become a god.
So Vitiate D riders are just resorting to straight up lies now? Sidious literally studied midichlorian resurrection with Plagueis (which has basically no downsides and is much more refined than Vitiate). Ofc he knew how to save Padme, why would he though? Padme would never accept the Empire and Anakin would not become truly powerful in the darkside without the pain and despair of Padme's death.

@@Gelph I totally agree man, I definitely believe he knew abilities with the force no one else did and that’s why he had my edge in a fight but I could only imagine to the extent nihilus power would grow if he actually drained vitiate
@@scottmcmichael319 oh I see I miss read what you were saying in your original. But yes that would be quite an interesting thing to see. It’s also interesting because it seems that the nathema ritual siphoned force on a level deeper than Nihilus, as his planets are never described as the same sort of oblivion as nathema, I wonder if that kinda power might actually be able to satisfy his hunger for a certain amount of time. It could also imagine it also being his undoing as it might bring him to a point of hunger that he just couldn’t sate in enough time.
@@Gelph He already literally consumed his body and mind and was barely holding his ship together.... :I Nihilus was powerful af, but he was created by turned Revan, and scales similarly to Revan, after becoming Nihilus.... And thats ignoring the MASSIVE weakness that his hunger literally not only was consuming him but had consumed his body and mind.... He had echos of sentience, but more than anything and more as time went on, he was nothing but mindless hunger.
Powerful, but not a winning strategy
Idk imo I don't think Vitiate could use his abilities to infiltrate Nihilus' mind. I think even if he did it would break him as he wouldn't be able to deal with Nihilus' inner mind. The hunger being mainly the only thing Nihilus can think about most times I think that unending hunger with in Nihilus' mind would send Vitiate insane and possibly turn him cabbaged lol
That was awesome man
PREACH! ✊
I heard Darth Tremelo was the king of rock and roll. His power over the axe was so complete, his subjects addressed him as rock God.
I would like say Valkorian is second
Sidious is by EU feats the most powerful Force-user in history.

Revan was exceptionally skilled in The Force and with the lightsaber, but it was his tactics and strategy which put him up in the annals of Jedi and Sith history - he was a total geniu.
@@chadbrad8100 Sidious isn't even close to Valkorian. Sidious is a wannabe compared to Valkorian. Valkorian did his feats and powers while his essence was divided among many other people. Sidious never even came close to pulling something like that off, much less draining an entire planet.
The beautiful part of this is simply he may still be there waiting and watching for his next rise to power.
If he performs those feats without effort i can't imagine what he could do if he putted effort in those feats

Great video!
Thank you for this objective look at my favorite character in all of Star Wars.
One thing I noticed in Rise that Force Lightning Storm... Palpatine's Clone didn't really do much with it... he may have disabled or shot down some but once that had stopped he had basically done little more then slow them down an even sorta regroup them
Most funny thing is that that storm isnt even that impressive compared to the old Sith, Marka Ragnos could cover an entire planet in a lightning storm. Same with Naga Sadow.

Would love to see this adapted live action/expanded.
Fractured Empire. Sith Empire with multiple Emperors, each a fragment of this Sith Lord and each a twisted but unique reflection of one of the hosts vices, empowering them. E.g. Malgus' self loathing, Nilhilus' greed, Sion's sadism/masochism etc.
I go back to swtor every couple of years. I play the storyline for a few months, then shut it down and park for another couple years.
It's a pretty awesome storyline. I suggest you play it!
Valkorion himself said time has not stopped. It was within the mind of the Outlander.
And wasn't it said his force lightning was black?
It is important to note that the ritual of Nathema was aided by one of the Iokath Machine Gods, Zildrog which was a superweapon he used to kill those on Nathema and absorb their essence which allowed him to achieve immortality to begin with.
Vitiate was far more powerful and far smarter than Palpatine could ever hope to be. Palpatine was a weak bitch that got lucky because the Jedi and Republic had become complacent.

Tenebrae: No I'm the most most powerful dark sider
The Son: They're cute when they argue
Abeloth: I know
unquestionably the most powerful sith to ever exist....regardless of legends or canon continuity...💯
I guess we see as how older the sith the stronger the sith was. So among the most powerful would probably be Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow, Tulak Hord...

In comparison to the Sith from the old Republic Sidious IS a joke
I would love a comprehensive video on Darth Krayt. Another man who lived many lives so to speak. Extremely powerful and interesting character
19:19 I was always wondering who is this the ultimate GOD: Valkorion, The Ones or Anakin (Son of the Force itself)?
Still don't know how Sidious is considered so powerful. He literally reaped the legwork of every Dark Jedi and Sith Lord ever, and then got chucked down a reactor shaft after a 20 year rule. Even including Legends, his feats were minimal compared to the majority of the most powerful of Dark Side Force users.
Minimal? My dude, he propagated a galactic war that he completely controlled(he was leading both sides) which ended with the jedi order being destroyed and him ruling the galaxy. The only reason he lost is that the monster he created turned on him at a crucial moment.
@@shini1908as the guy says alot of work was done for him to even have that opportunity killed his master in his sleep. But feats do not equal power power equals power and still vitiate was involved as emperor of the sith in galactic affairs over 1000 years so honestly yeah pretty minimal

I’d love to see a sick ,star wars lore accurate, holocron opening intro for these videos. Really enjoyed this one.
In other words, Palpatine dies like a bitch while it takes a combination of Jedi and Sith working together just to defeat Valkorion.
Dont forget the force itself helped
Any of the ancient Sith were far more powerful than Sidious. That's why the ancient Sith in their immortality couldn't stand Sidious. Sidious rejected the ancient ways of the dark side which made him weaker.
Bullshit, Sidious surpassed them all after becoming emperor.

Do a video going over every force ability ever from legends and cannon
If there were a film that included the line "Somehow, Vitiate returned" after he had been thrown down a shaft, I would have no trouble believing that. Vitiate is so strong & so full of life, that it would make perfect sense for him to return; all the more so, as he had knowledge of the future.

Honestly, if he’s that powerful, I’d reckon he’s strong enough to put a mental block on his pain receptors
The fact that people are willing to ignore some of the things Lucas says but when it comes to how strong Sidious is they treat it as gospel.
