I litteraly yelled "oh my god phil!" When you sent it blind over those rocks. We like watching you do stupid stuff, but we don't like seeing you get hurt!
I was so confused as to what got me. It wasn't until I rewatched the video that I figured out that my pedal clipped the shrub, which explained the bent crank arm.
@@SkillsWithPhil heyo you should totally try to meet up with Jeff Cayley in cali while your in the area! It would be a great collab and interview thing. Or maybe come by and say high to me and others in az lol
Entire video knowing he was riding blind I was just thinking there's no way he's not getting into trouble sending and gapping like he was on a trail like this ! But hey, it's all good in the end :P
I made the mistake of reading this comment before I watched all the video and I was on the edge waiting for the crash the whole time 😬love you and Yuka's channels too lol, I didn't even notice your name at first
Hey Phil, never feel like you have to make the monkey dance for me. I have always loved your videos even if we are just building a trail. Thanks for bringing the thrills though but stay safe.
I love that the riding in Moab is exactly the same as it was when I rode there in the mid '90s. I gotta get back out there...if only for the nostalgia.
Having ridden that trail several times, you made it look way way easier than it is! A few of those drops/hops are seriously huge for the average rider!
You are livin' my dream bro!! I was very into mountainbiking in early 80s. Its been about 40 years. I got a new bike 5 months ago. Grew up in NorCal., now live in Maryland. Im loving it!
Having been there and on that exact portion of trail 11 months ago for the first time it was incredibly fun seeing you ride it for the first time compared to me and my buddies! Incredible how much stuff you're able to clean blind, on the fly! Guess the Ahab descent and lower Portal were more your style - hope videos are to come from those trails.
We got lucky and the roads were fixed by the second week in October. The climb up Burro Pass was pretty tough for this 63 year old, but the downhill to where you guys started was epic! One week earlier and one week later and we wouldn't have been able to do The Whole Enchilada. I can't believe you did that drop! Riding it didn't even cross my mind!
"Alpine zones" is all big mountain riding and what make it so epic. Ending in high desert on slick rock is the best after being on loose scree and roots in the higher altitude. Great ride. Glad you did it. It seems the Whole Enchilada has ben hard to do for the past few years with the weather issues.
You’re great man! You’re making your own line on the trail. I’m like “how did he f-ng get there?”. And I was like “I hope he’s okay” when you crashed. Will be watching more.
Never did the whole Enchilada but did SlickRock, Porcupine Rim which is on your video and man…!!! You brought back amazing memories when we visit Moab back in 2008. 👍 Hope you feeling ok after that crash…!!!
Line choice, line choice, line choice. You are next level on finding them and what you do with them. First time at Moab, really? One of the best vids I’ve seen you do. So stoke you were ok as well.
Brother, I spent about 28-30 days per year in Utah, SLC and Moab over the past 18 years, there is a t-shirt that says that there are two road conditions in Utah: Winter and Construction. :) You’ve made me want to resurrect my old Giant VT Two, lol, and trail ride once more. I have become sedentary and lazy.
One of my favorite rides. I did 2/3rds of an Enchilada late in October last year, started at Kokopelli because Burro and Hazard were already snowed in. Still an amazingly fun ride. That drop @21:27, a friend of mine has video of a guy who didn't realize it was a huck and rolled straight off it, promptly OTBing and going splat.
Seeing you ride this trail after I did last month makes me really appreciate how good of a rider you really are. Wish you rode the "Snotch" as it looked impossible when I walked down it
damn, you got out of that creek bed at the end like it was nothing, that's like 3 feet straight up lol. Looking forward to your POV on ahab and portal ;)
An adventure/cross country type ride is a nice switch up sometimes though. I just went on one in Coopers Rock, WV and it was a nice change of pace from bike parks and DH. Glad you didn't get hurt on that spill, Phil! ahahaa... I'll keep my day job
Yeah I've ridden the whole enchilada, its a natural trail not one built for flow and he's riding it blind. When he picked up so much speed and then hucked into unknown I was thinking something bad is going to happen and then boom lol. Not sure what even happened, doesn't look like front tire caught up, maybe crank hit?
We just rode the whole Enchii a couple weeks ago. And its unfortunate that you were not able to start from the top, that downhill section from Burro Pass is insane!!
Hey bro, don't hurt yourself. I broke my foot Sept. 29th, and missed all of October riding. Had planned to hit Durango in October, and now its "maybe next year." Still in a boot and am praying that I can ride mid-November. Breaking bones sucks. Rocks are hard.
It is absolutely unbelievable seeing you "interpret" that trail. After seeing all the other TH-camr videos here where everyone takes, or attempts the same lines it is absolutely insane the way you see lines and possibilities no one else sees. It's like you're riding through a different dimension and you see glimpses of the other mere mortal riders around you looking at the trail all confused.
Just as I am looking down the cliff thinking how long of a drop that would be Phil goes flying over his handle bars. I am very glad it was to the left and not to the right.
Phil, your a friggin animal! How the hell do you pick a line so quickly and easily. Those cliff drops off to side are scary. Glad no injury's other than a bum crank.
It's funny i went back and watched other videos after i posted this and realized i had watched Seth's video many years ago. I'm glad i didn't remember any of it, i like riding things with s fresh perspective
Love what your doing and your personality. Your content is as good of quality as a 10 year experienced your tuber. The only thing you need to do to bring in more views is a better camera. Personally this is the only thing that is holding you back from being great. Just trying to give you some tips. No hate only love. Keep it going.
Thanks for the kind words. I do have to respectfully disagree, a better camera isn't going to magically change anything. Better story telling would go further, but i prefer to show my day as it happens from my perspective. Some videos will be more interesting than others, and I'm okay with that.
Phil! My dude, we do love your videos, but damn! That crash could have gone REAL bad. I wouldn't be going full boar down a black diamond or double black when it's my first rip down it.
I litteraly yelled "oh my god phil!" When you sent it blind over those rocks. We like watching you do stupid stuff, but we don't like seeing you get hurt!

I just started the video and these are the top comments...fuck I'm in for a ride lmao
Entire video knowing he was riding blind I was just thinking there's no way he's not getting into trouble sending and gapping like he was on a trail like this ! But hey, it's all good in the end :P

Man, watching you make line choices out there at speed is wild.
Trying to pick the craziest one each time usually gets you the Phil line!
Loved having you along, Phil 🍻 We'll get that final bite of the Enchilada the next time!
Hey Phil, never feel like you have to make the monkey dance for me. I have always loved your videos even if we are just building a trail. Thanks for bringing the thrills though but stay safe.

Very surprised you had never been to Moab before! I hope you enjoyed it.
Yeah, honestly I tend to avoid things that people constantly recommend. Heck, I avoided Whistler for most of my riding career!
You are livin' my dream bro!!
I was very into mountainbiking in early 80s. Its been about 40 years. I got a new bike 5 months ago. Grew up in NorCal., now live in Maryland. Im loving it!
Just Phil out doing Phil stuff. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the ride

Riding that jank blind at speed next to a cliff... you're my hero Phil! 🤙🏼🤘🏼
thanks for taking us on this epic ride!
I’ve ridden enchilada every year for the past 5. It’s so fun. I already thought you were an insane rider, but this confirms everything.
"Alpine zones" is all big mountain riding and what make it so epic. Ending in high desert on slick rock is the best after being on loose scree and roots in the higher altitude. Great ride. Glad you did it. It seems the Whole Enchilada has ben hard to do for the past few years with the weather issues.
i love riding those super wide trails with tons of lines, it feels like surfing
You’re great man! You’re making your own line on the trail. I’m like “how did he f-ng get there?”. And I was like “I hope he’s okay” when you crashed. Will be watching more.
Shredding at high speed, nice riding! Did LPS two weeks ago and it was the greatest thing that I’ve done on a bike. Can’t wait to go back.
That was amazing!! So glad you ate it all.
Sweet run right before the wipe out! I jumped out of my seat when you went over. Keep healthy man and thanks for sharing the ride!
Epic ride Phil, thanks for sharing, looking forward to more Moab adventures!
Impressive you did the Notch, that thing is soo gnarly!
All those riders were better than I will ever be and Phil made them look like beginners.
I think GT will be selling quite a few bikes after video haha. Great riding Phil!
Stunning video phill. Loved it. You looked like you were having a great time. Your lines are amazing to watch.
Never did the whole Enchilada but did SlickRock, Porcupine Rim which is on your video and man…!!!
You brought back amazing memories when we visit Moab back in 2008. 👍
Hope you feeling ok after that crash…!!!
That was a fast 30 minute video. Enjoyed it all
👣 With all that experience, I'm shocked that Phil never rode anywhere in Utah that's nuts. Have now ! 👍
Damn Phil! It is so fun to watch you ride .
the way you mobbed that downhill was so efforttless. Sick vid Phil!
Line choice, line choice, line choice. You are next level on finding them and what you do with them. First time at Moab, really? One of the best vids I’ve seen you do. So stoke you were ok as well.
Thank you. Natural trails are awesome.
Having visited this spot in Early June it was great to watch it again! Very different than the East Coast dirt I usually ride!
Brother, I spent about 28-30 days per year in Utah, SLC and Moab over the past 18 years, there is a t-shirt that says that there are two road conditions in Utah: Winter and Construction.
:)
You’ve made me want to resurrect my old Giant VT Two, lol, and trail ride once more. I have become sedentary and lazy.

i can see phil looking at the rocks and wanting to hop on and off them all.
Fun to watch you ride a lot of the trail I hike a bike 🤣. I go over my handle bars every time I ride that thing! Great video!
Awesome riding, kept thinking to myself, this is what it's like flying by everyone on super tech trail!
That crash was gnarly. Bro, that was technical and critical, with speed. Insane as always.
Looks like a lot of fun in the sun.
awesome video man. glad you didn't get too banged up after that fall 🙌
"Are you ok with Wheelie Drops?" Has homeboy even watched a Phil Skilz video? lol
Great video, your killing it Phil
Seeing you ride this trail after I did last month makes me really appreciate how good of a rider you really are. Wish you rode the "Snotch" as it looked impossible when I walked down it
You took a beating there! I’m glad you’re alright. That crash looked terrifying!
Sounds like you have been introduced to Utah Biking! Goatheads, WE, Cows! I think I rode it a week after this!
damn, you got out of that creek bed at the end like it was nothing, that's like 3 feet straight up lol. Looking forward to your POV on ahab and portal ;)
Nice Job Phil!
Whole Enchilada is one of my favourites in Utah alongside Captain Ahab. Quite the Epic descent.
As a utahonki, your last few videos have been awesome to watch. Your riding in that last section makes it look easy even though I know it's not.
An adventure/cross country type ride is a nice switch up sometimes though. I just went on one in Coopers Rock, WV and it was a nice change of pace from bike parks and DH. Glad you didn't get hurt on that spill, Phil! ahahaa... I'll keep my day job
I lived in Moab for 6 years and broke many bones riding those trails. You gave me PTSD watching you fly over those rocks!
I just did the WE last week. You made those tough lines look so easy. Amazing. And it’s always fun to eat it on the edge of a cliff.
Hahaha! I know that house you're staying in! We stay there every year during a 3 day running event I help with. That's hilarious.
Sketchy looking trails 🫣
Phil, "I'm afraid of heights", as he proceeds to wheelie drop it!!
I feel like maybe the only person who didn't know you were gonna crash right there was you!! LOL I'm glad you're ok. It looked pretty gnarly.
Yeah I've ridden the whole enchilada, its a natural trail not one built for flow and he's riding it blind. When he picked up so much speed and then hucked into unknown I was thinking something bad is going to happen and then boom lol. Idea for a blooper channel or crash compilation... Spills with Phil. Those blind sends have pucker factor even on film 🤯
Epic dude that trail looks so much fun definitely a bucket list job would be the dram to ride there at least once 🫡🔥🏴
Such a gnarly crash! I was watching on my TV and it startled me!!
We just rode the whole Enchii a couple weeks ago. And its unfortunate that you were not able to start from the top, that downhill section from Burro Pass is insane!!
I want Phil to move to Utah just so I can see more red rock MTB videos 🤙🏼
That looks like a sick trial! Hope to go out there sometime soon 🤘
Is there anybody better at riding a new trail blind than Phil? Keep shredding🔥🤙
This looks like a lot of fun
I saw your Instagram story when you did the Notch. I was up there a couple of weeks ago as well. Sick to finally see you ride it :D
Hey bro, don't hurt yourself. I broke my foot Sept. 29th, and missed all of October riding. Had planned to hit Durango in October, and now its "maybe next year." Still in a boot and am praying that I can ride mid-November. Breaking bones sucks. Rocks are hard.

Seriously.
Loved the video!
Awesome video and great riding. I hope to make it their one day but it’s a long way from south Georgia.
I think I did Half-Enchilada just a couple days before you! I managed to do the two moves at the Notch, but that alt line that you took was insane!
Super impressive hitting the notch 1st try just scouting it out yourself. That's so much scarier in person
Bummed that you didn't go up to Burro pass. The trails up there are wild... and steep... right in your wheelhouse.
Kmetz for president, I'm glad you're safe AND the way you blindly rode TWE was inspiring!
Just as I am looking down the cliff thinking how long of a drop that would be Phil goes flying over his handle bars. I am very glad it was to the left and not to the right.
MKBHD style outro, great trail, some sections looked pretty sketchy. The scenary in Utah is absolutely stunning!
My TWE vid drops tomorrow! (Lotta people riding the Enchilada this month!)
I love this vid, thanks for posting!
October is said to be the best time to ride there given the weather! My trip coincided with outerbike, but that wasn't something i planned 😂
Did this on my salsa hard tail this summer… tubes and all. No flats! Crazy
Phil, your a friggin animal! How the hell do you pick a line so quickly and easily. Those cliff drops off to side are scary. Glad no injury's other than a bum crank.
Looking forward to your Portal Video!
I knew that you would ride like you do, even at Moab...that was crazy. I saw the video with Seth, Brian and Alex in Moab some years ago...
It's funny i went back and watched other videos after i posted this and realized i had watched Seth's video many years ago. I'm glad i didn't remember any of it, i like riding things with s fresh perspective
What kind of sick lunatic built that trail? Those cliffs were scary. Awesome riding by all.
I want to say ride with caution and care but I also want to see the jumps and drops, so I’ll safe ride with skills. Party on Phil.
23:59 a whisper from the future:"breaaaaak, noooo"
Jeez, if you go down on those rocks... so jagged but beautiful
was just there as well for the first time.
What an amazing landscape this is 🥰 would love to ride there (Utah) some day - from Europe its quiet a journey and pricey😅
Going into and out that wash at 27:00 is stupid hard - which you can't avoid unlike the other difficult parts in the video. Wow.
You should come check out carvins cove in VA

If I had 30 perfect of your ability I would be set 🤙🏻 love your vids
Riding the Enchilada like a downhill course!
Awesome footage on 4k tv.
I want to see Phil ride with Pat Smage!
Terrain in Moab is truly unmatched
Ok…21:44, Phil is bored. Kicking rocks with front tire.😂
Epic!!!
hitting the rocks is definitely me🤣 glad i’m not the only person has fun doing that, maybe that’s why you got a flat tire🤔
I never flatted. It was the rider right behind me.
amazing
