I have to say, as a person who entered their first sport at 38 through biking, these stories are so inspiring. Not because I am trying to hit that level, but to hear how every person who pushes themselves in sport from novice to pro have the same inner dialogue of pain, inadequacy, burnout, wanting to quit etc…thank you. It got me motivated to do in my indoor trainer this morning remembering that it’s the slow increments that count towards the goal ✌🏼

In the 1990s a few friends and I would do the porcupine rim trail as a loop from town and we loved the toughness of that and of course there was no Strava back then. We did that loop several dozen times in that decade. This young cyclist is stunning and makes what we did back then look like child’s play.
I’ve done Porcupine rim as a loop from my house in Moab a couple of times. I was already whipped when I got to the overlook at the start of the rim trail. That was 25 years ago when I was a young man of 52!

This is an amazing story. Soo much more could have been done to tell Hannah's story, what those difficult secitons looked like. For those of us who know the trail, I wanted to see how she tacked the last climb to the top of burrow. How did she ride the technical sections of the trail. The snotch, etc. I am hoping this is just a teaser and you have a much longer story coming. Cheers to Hannah!
I could have watched 2 hrs of this, but it's tough to capture a lot of footage out there riding it that fast. You would need a film crew of 100 people staged along the course.

Impressive ride, Hannah!! Such a well-made video that was fun to watch. Only a few days ago I watched Brayden Bringhurst's excellent documentary 8600 FT climbing up TWE and now Hannah's amazing feat completing the loop in FKT. And to think I had never even heard of The Whole Enchilada until this week.
Wow! What an achievement and what a girl! I freaking love the Whole Enchilada...what I've ridden of it so far, anyway. I was there last spring and I'm headed there again, in 3 weeks, from Canada! As a 61 year old x-racer who's a little less fit but still a huge mountain-biking enthusiast, I can't wait to get back there and challenge my endurance and skills. Watching Hanna made me feel really, really inspired (despite the age difference) to train even harder before I go. I'll definitely be carrying a lot more water on me, too...I can't believe she only had 2 litres for 55 miles...wtf? Camel, is right! Can't wait to see what Hannah does next!
I've ridden TWE from the Geyser Pass trailhead. It's an incredible ride. To climb up to Burro and then head down is a staggering feat! Great work, Hannah!
Amazing ride and inspiring video! There's definitely more than "a handful" of people that have done the W.E from town though. I'd estimate it more like 50-100. The W.E route has morphed so much over the years with small singletrack connectors being added and reroutes around Warner Lake Campground that many of the earlier rides will never be picked up (on Strava) by this new FKT route. Not trying to take anything away from her accomplishment but rather lending some historical knowledge of the ride. Cheers
I did the Whole Enchilada starting and finishing in Moab 2 days before this. I called it SuperEnchilada. I guess the issue about tracking this very long segment in Strava is that there many small variations that you can do and won't appear in the segment leaderboard. This is specially true starting the segment from downtown Moab instead of the Spanish Valley road or Millcreekfor example. In any case, awesome job, Hannah!
That is mountain biking . Some downhillers moved next door to me and they think they are mountain bikers, they have no clue. I used to do a ride from my driveway in Lakewood through Morrison up Mount Falcon down Parmalee gulch and up through bear creek canyon through Evergreen and to the top of Bergen peak back the same way, 57 miles. I'm 66 now so that was then but I' jealous watching her be in that groove. Good job.

Awesome ride Hannah. So happy to see you "normalize" this lap, but why oh why didn't you start and finish at Milt's?! Question -- how come at 6:03 you're biking past Geyser Pass and towards Warner Campground. Is there another route to the top? This was confusing to me. Thanks! Incredible job!
my friends and I leapfrogged and eventually passed her on a shuttle ride we did on the WE, and based on her pace up the burro pass climb and the bike/ kit we could tell she meant business. come to find out she was CLIMBING UP THE ROAD and training to eventually set this insane record. wow
Ever since Hannah was on the trainer road pod I've been putting whipped cream on my pancakes with zero shame. Awesome to see this ride! Might I suggest the Maah Daah Hey trail in North Dakota for the next FKT? I'd say it's on par with this but no one really knows about it. Though it is a touch longer...

What an amazing experience on an awesome trail. I don't know what is more impressive, your fkt or the fact that you did the whole thing without a breakdown or some carnage. Two things that I always seem to have, lol.
Quick question that I am hoping someone can answer for me. Recently, Lachy set the FKT on the CT Trail, but they didn't count it because cameras filmed him? How is this different? I am a huge fan of both athletes, just confused.. Help me understand
@@matthewcozart7684 I completely agree! He did it for a great cause for his late friend. I recently finished the Colorado Trail in 11 days and it is unfathomable to comprehend! The CT is brutal.. such great of an accomplishment Lachy did !! He is such a bad ass like Hannah

Congrats Hannah! 💪👏
Incredible ride! Well done Hannah!
Glad you liked it!!
Question -- how come at 6:03 you're biking past Geyser Pass and towards Warner Campground. Is there another route to the top? This was confusing to me. Thanks! Incredible job!
my friends and I leapfrogged and eventually passed her on a shuttle ride we did on the WE, and based on her pace up the burro pass climb and the bike/ kit we could tell she meant business. come to find out she was CLIMBING UP THE ROAD and training to eventually set this insane record. wow
Maybe the most impressive thing about this is the husband/wife relationship, awesome!
AMAZING!!! Congratulations from the entire MTB community
Thanks for watching! Hannah is amazing
Impressive! You are an inspiration!
Awesome. Congratulations. Great video
Thanks for the view and comment. That sounds like a pretty cool trail. We'll have to check it out
Congrats, awesome ride.
Super ride! and great footage
Simply amazing feat especially starting in town. WOW!
She was smashing the pedals the entire climb! It's a tough one
My god those trails look INSANE!!!
So chunky and she did it on a beefed up XC bike 😮

Tan lines FTW!
Wow, that was awesome...killer job!!
wow what a great effort to do that trail in that time, shes a amazing athlete
She's incredible!
I love mountain bikes, awesome ride Hannah !
The best!
Did the whole enchilada in July🤦♂️. Finished it but ran out of water so the last few miles were tough! Always take more than you think you need on that trail.

I say count it. That’s such an insane accomplishment!
That is spectacular! WOW! Amazing work to push through.
Hannah was pushing hard on the pedals the entire way. It was unbelievable to watch
So so so incredible!
Thanks for watching!
