I still remembered the day, when I called Ram sir on his CA Final results day searched his number from newspaper and congratulated him, and asked him for some advice on how to study because I had appeared for my CA CPT and got failed and was crying and he was the one who told me start from now not an hour of delay now is the time. I got myself cleared in the next attempt with Distinction and state Topper😅. I still follow him as my mentor even if he still doesn't remember me but I really follow him and will always. No need to fret over guys that how he became a VP at a very young age? In most basic terms a person having the designation of VP at a P.E. firm or in Investment Banking is equivalent to Senior software engineer at a tech firm and in India promotion happens within the organization very quickly since these P.E. firms and INVESTMENT BANKS are basically KPOs in India and they get to keep good talents at an affordable price instead of paying $170,000 for keeping same kind of talents in the U.S. , I was once offered a VP position at Barclays at the age of 26 but left the job for a HFT firm.
What is HFT firm ? What is your educational qualification ? Plus can you please give a conclusion that who earn more senior software engineer or vp Plzz it's benificial for me if you reply
@@akshayjadhav4269 Okay I don't know from which stream you're coming from but for Software engineer and my talent which is Statistical and Financial Engineer you need to have a science stream in +2. Secondly if you come from commerce bg you need to either have CA top 30 or your gradschool should be a tier 1 b school so that you could be offered a VP position at an Investment Bank or P.E. later in life. Coming to your Question my Qualification is B.Stat and M.Stat from ISI Calcutta getting into that is tougher than IIT. So let that sink in. Coming to your HFT it means High Frequency Trading these firms are very rarely situated in India so basically you get a chance at that kind of firm after completing your stint in Investment Banking. Coming to payscale this depends on organizations for eg. JP Morgan is notorious in their payscale so sometimes a SDE at a Faangmula will earn more than a VP at JP Morgan or Bank of America whereas Goldman Sachs payscale is highly generous but getting into GS is a tough one.
This is not the KPO job you think it is. Goldman hires CAs in backend (KPO role) even in IB but then again, hires folks from iim abc for front end roles in the mumbai office. These guys are a handful. Sri ram belongs to the latter category albeit in bain cap.
Why the experience tenure of most of the employees of Management Consulting Firms (MBB) is mostly 2-3 years and especially if they are academic toppers/rankers❓
I also have always wondered.. mostly they spent not more than 1 year.. n then there profile is just like ex- I also want to know why they work in consulting for such a short duration..!! Specially the rank holders.. is it the job satisfaction.. or the pay.. or what
