    More and more people might face a tough time in retirement. Low-paying jobs, inflation, and high rents make it hard to save. Now, middle-class Americans find it tough to own a home too, leaving them without a place to retire.

      The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.

      This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

    A financial planner informed me Saving as least 15% of your income in a 401(k) will help you retire comfortably. How can you take advantage of compound interest and perhaps increase your retirement funds over time?

    I followed FIRE. Retired at age 48. My suggestions - have own furnished house, car etc before it. Plan finances & future well depending on your personality & vision- take good insurances, save prudently in Banks & real estate. Lead a disciplined life style, be teetotaller, develop healthy emotional relationships and networks. Be a busy bee in keeping your mind young & conscious by making use of SWAYAM portal with growth mindset. Serve the society. Enjoy happy life with goal of well being❤❤

    With Roth IRA, the money you are contributing has already been taxed. At any time for any reason, you can withdraw your contributions tax-free and penalty-free. Additionally, any earnings on investments can also be withdrawn tax-free and penalty-free, Not sure how much to contribute, I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $338k stock portfolio.

The guy you have interviewing may be lived in the cheapest city of Dubai and saved a lot of money. Eg. You can easily earn 1 crore within 5 years having a mixer life in Dubai if tiu have a good salary. Today 1 cr fd will fetch 60 to 70 k per month. He earned hard by compromising so many things and this guy what going to do my retiring early. He goes for cycling bullshit. Still he is afraid of money , ask him to go to a village next to kanchipuram, he will get 5 bhk at 20,000 and 20000 will be other expense. What you do is for your own benefit. Bulkshit

    Initially, my retirement strategy involved retiring at 62, engaging in part-time work, and diligently saving money. Nevertheless, exorbitant prices across all commodities have significantly disrupted this plan. I am apprehensive whether individuals who navigated the 2008 financial crisis encountered less challenging circumstances than what I am currently facing. The volatility in the stock market is a cause for concern, especially as my income has declined. Consequently, I worry about not accumulating sufficient retirement savings, given my reduced capacity to contribute as substantially as I did before.

    • @Eric_Dennis
      @Eric_Dennis 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Everyone needs a different stream of income , unfortunately having a job doesn't mean security due to the high rate of tax , one needs to move ahead their expectation, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.

    • @Helen_white1

      Very true, you can be passively involved in the markets and still amass wealth-gains using an investment advisor. I first dabbled in stocks late 2019, just before the pandemic, and that same year gained over 150% with no prior investing experience, basically all I was doing was following directions of my advisor. We are working on a retirement ballpark of $3m and I’m certain my goal isn’t farfetched after subsequent investments and tremendous returns so far.

    Invest early, invest often, stay invested. Buy a good cross section of an economy and you should do well over the long term. The market will be high in 10 to 20 years, and significantly higher in 30. It's almost impossible for a company with no debt to go bankrupt. Canada is about 3% of the global marketplace, U.S. is about 50%, remainder on the globe is 47%. Pay yourself first. It's time in the market, not timing the market. i stay untop of the market with my FA Emily Lois Parker. Bulls and bears make money, but pigs get slaughtered. - some wise words -

      @SandraDave. 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's recommended to save at least 20% of your income in a 401k. You can use online calculators to estimate how much you should save based on your age and income. Saving at least 20% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. By saving this much, you can take advantage of investing in the stock market and potentially grow your retirement savings over time.

Even Sharan was very much laid back... Please come up with better content. This is typical topper who earned a lot and then decided to call it a FIRE. Also he is a banker. Ofcourse he knows money all his working lifetime. So we can not learn any mistakes from him....

      The objective of the video is to share the story of Sandeep who has been able to achieve retirement at 37. He mentioned that he was not a topper at school. CA is done by people after college and not during school. Also, the learnings that I got personally from this video about early retirement is that you need to first have a target goal in mind, learn when to stay stop, be willing to switch cities to accelerate retirement, build expertise in a particular field to be the top1 % at it and leverage foreign income to accelerate your networth, also called geographical arbitrage.

    Here is my guess at your success: you lived 13 years of your life where the Markets were protected by the Fed and government, Too-big-to-fail lies were used and free money abounded. And you were smart enough to take advantage of it. Real estate went unrealistically high, BTC is stupidly over-valued. In a nutshell, it was hard NOT to make money during the past dozen years or so.

    Dubai..no wonder he could achieve FIRE....come on..we can never have the same learning as him..also FIRE is again americanise India ..reason previous generation worked till the retirement age is because they wanted to be of service...now when people are only surviving for money...they will only chase money... this guy agreed he's lazy...how will such people enrich the country further...imagine doctors also chase FIRE and retire...where will you go for surgeries Sharan? Finance is just one aspect of life... Finfluencers have successfully promoted it as the only thing in LIFE...and please...what's the purpose anymore for this lazy guy to be immortal?

      Due think schools, colleges, and Hospitals are there to provide free services to the public?
      Bloody everything in this human created world works for money/ high profits only.
      Fact of the matter is that there are only 1% who really believe in providing free service to others, like their are few doctors, teachers who works in remote part of Indian with very limited income. The rest of 99% heard are behind profits or higher income.
      Due to human greed lots of issues in each industry like specifically in health and education.
      Due to greed of more profit the COVID 19 virus was created in lab and the pharmaceutical company made a huge profit out of vaccines.

      I deeply agree that we shouldn't just focus on finances in life. but, FIRE is freedom, its not the end, its the beginning. Doctors/Engineers who enjoy their work, without having to worry about money can be of more service to the nation.

    What about pension benefits? My father told me 'If you want to earn respect in the society,you have to outwork others' if you want to be rich, you'll have to work hard'. As a med student studying for years and just to quit at 37 doesnt make any sense. I guess after 40 is when we actually get respected and earn earn decent salary. He told me to quit med school anytime you want if you dont want respect or if you're ready to live a normal ,average life. Bc we have food ,shelter for life. But you cant live hi-fi bmw life with savings and burning assests.. a high paying job is must.
