Guys please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to generalize IIM guys. But, what I observed is that the Non-IIM guys in this video seem more humble and composed.

from what i've learned from this conversation is that if you do MBA from top IIMs you will get a lot of things like network , skills, qualities , placements with high salaries, knowledge , habits, abilities etc but if you don't do MBA from IIMs you can still get these things but that depends on your learning capacity i mean if you're eager to learn then only you can get these things and i'm not sure if you would get a job or not but in my suggestion doing MBA from top IIMs is the best because NAME & FAME matters and IIMs has that name based in which the company hires students

There is an established bias treatment for IIM grads over and above non-IIMs in this country. Since the country's change among youth is more towards executive and part-time MBA than a full-time MBA after getting an initial 3 - 4 years, ISB is a better school than any of the IIMs when it comes to executive MBA.

I think many people would love to have a video where people talk about liabilities , like long standing loans and how they are getting out of it or how they got out of it .... because for many , wealth creation will start after they payoff all their liabilities , which mostly their families were carrying fwd since childhood
Brother many other factors also affects the salary. If your are an engineer from IIT, NIT , BITs you will be able to double your salary in less than 4 years and experience in global giants like google, oracle , Microsoft etc will be an added advantage.
Seems like a very shallow conversation for most parts , MBA education in India is very boxed, roles after also, however loads of good vibes for both the TAPMI and SIMS guy, I can tell you from my experience IIM isn’t a silver bullet and plenty of non IIMs are doing incredibly well outside India in senior roles, in India that rigid mindset is bottom line stupidity, currently a Director at Big 4 strategy in Europe , passed out in 2010 from Symbiosis definitely earning 3x than many IIM grads passed around the same time. In India IIM tag gives you more chances to fail, like even if you suck at your job your bosses will say year IIM A se hai kuch to kiya hoga, outside specially in developed economies after a year no one bloody cares if you suck at your role you’re out, and IIM network outside India is not as strong as you think so no one can really get you an interview

4 successful people talking about their success and all things that lead them to IIM's. I would appreciate if there are more failure/real struggle stories that we can see on the channel. You cant just talk about the top 1% earning people. Get to the ground and show us the next 10 percent people who are earning 25-60K per month.
Companies will see real you beyond your IIM degree after 3 months of working with them. If you don't fit you will start looking for another job and that's that. Degree is first impression and not everything.

Let me give u perspective.. Being IIM A Grad and class mate to one of the panel members.. I can vouch Being IIM Grad of course reduces ur chances of becoming super rich.. as We are always in comfortable position as far as salaries are concerned.. which keeps u in ur shell and never pushes you to take risks.. U have too much to lose.. E.G. If u r making 1 Cr per annum why on earth would u get into some troubled start up life.. Ofcourse few did and won many did and came back with learnings but little left behind others..

Many techies move to managerial & leadership roles without an MBA, that point about career ending at 42 is not true. The university of hard knocks is way above any business school.
Joining a branded institution will not offer a well curated Path to success. To innovate and invent, seek a good Mentor and get into the trench of your industry to learn from the best.

Putting SIMS and TAPMI guys in front of IIM A and B guys is a big sin! When you talk about Non-IIMs, talk about Tier-1 institutes like XLRI, FMS, IIFT, MDI, SPJ, etc. These are the ones who are providing Top IIM like opportunities, if not better. Only IIM BLACKISM is any good, rest are just tier 2 colleges who provide average opportunities at best!
Hey Manas, sorry you seem to have missed the larger point of this video. Tier-1 institutions will already provide “top IIM like” opportunities as you rightly mentioned. Hence, what’s the value add for the audience comparing these two very similar categories? The types of institutions compared here provides the audience with much more context of how life takes shape for graduates of IIMs vs “just tier 2 colleges”. On a lighter note I’d also suggest looking up what a sin actually means, or you may not even qualify to enter into these colleges that you turn your nose up at. ;)
The whole debate is a waste, the question is not about if people can have a good career being a non iiam, ofcourse they can. The question should be GENERALLY can people have a good career without iiam, no you cant. If you see iiams will have 80-90 people who are doing good, this number goes down as you go down the tiers of mba colleges.

Hey Manas, sorry you seem to have missed the larger point of this video. Tier-1 institutions will already provide “top IIM like” opportunities as you rightly mentioned. Hence, what’s the value add for the audience comparing these two very similar categories? The types of institutions compared here provides the audience with much more context of how life takes shape for graduates of IIMs vs “just tier 2 colleges”. On a lighter note I’d also suggest looking up what a sin actually means, or you may not even qualify to enter into these colleges that you turn your nose up at. ;)
Despite the hype, none of them (IIM or non-IIM) actually have a job in a top-tier organization.

The whole debate is a waste, the question is not about if people can have a good career being a non iiam, ofcourse they can. The question should be GENERALLY can people have a good career without iiam, no you cant. If you see iiams will have 80-90 people who are doing good, this number goes down as you go down the tiers of mba colleges.
