You’ve been on the hard so long I think someone could sue you for claiming to be a sailing channel 😂 Parley was hurricane damaged and struck by lightning twice, and they spent less time fixing their boat than you 🤬
You all seemed so positive in some of the earlier videos 😥😥😥 You would think the builder would move heaven and earth to see you finally enjoying your new home! Sending love and prayers 💖🙏
Wow. This deserves more views. Thanks for making the time to share this. You’re doing better than I would be in this situation. Leopard 42 was our dream boat. Now I’m scared.
Thank you for the support, we appreciate it! Part of the reason for sharing our story was giving people a real, honest account of how things could go, so they have all the information when they go to make their own purchasing decision. There's a whole library of Leopard resources and a handover help section on our website as well.
Neither can we 😔 There's still a lot to do and we're not the only L45 being repaired here. Hopefully we have a better idea of the new launch timeframe by the start of January 🤞
Unreal ! I've been following your adventures since the start ! 😢 you have a lot of courage ! They should be a new categories in the world of catamaran! Constructor of the year by owner!
It's so bad what's gone on and really feel for you, but Ill admit, you made me laugh! That bit about the aircon 😂 Seriosuly though, Leopard should be ashamed!
I was just about to pull the trigger on purchasing a new leopard after selling my Bavaria 50 but with all the deceitful stuff Leopard have put you through there is no way in hell will I be doing it I am so glad I have stumbled across your expose on this terribly constructed vessel, I feel so sorry for you folks and do hope you get justice through the courts👍🤷😟
Absolutely outrageous. My partner and I have been looking at new 42 but we have talked about your situation extensively. I would lose my @&$% mind. I don’t typically subscribe to the litigation route, but you need a high powered marine attorney. There are 3 great ones and you need one or all of them. The mental suffering and really health hazards having to live like that should be in your comlpaint. Again absolutely outrageous. Please don’t stop posting. It really shows the true character of a company many were thinking of doing business with.
I've been following your nightmare for about 6 months now. Didn't the extent of the problems and the (extensive) cost involved in rectifying them scream "total loss" to Robertson & Caine/Travelopia/Insurance and then steer them to 'cut their loses' by replacing your boat with a new boat. I've heard you take the 'friendly' route: "The waranty work is going great. Everyone is very dilligent and open..." I guess that it had a limited/short term effect!
So to get a new hull you have to sign an NDA. You would also need to get lawyers involved. None of your after hand over, custom work is transferred over. Warranty starts from scratch. My picture hasn't finished being painted by a long shot. They are also paying out expenses to me and doing the right thing in that regard which we will cover. It is very hard to get totally balanced videos up in this environment for Teesh and give a fully balanced perspective with every video. I have also helped other new owners like Wayne in a similar position. Doing good things for people is hard to put a value on.
"To get a new hull, you HAVE to sign an NDA." is bullshit. It's simply blackmail on their part to bury their mistakes. Also they should 'compensate' you for the custom work. That custom work is lost BECAUSE of them. Even if the original contract had restrictive clauses, they could set them aside. But they want it to be kept secret. At this point, THEY feel that THEY have invested too much in repairs to wipe the slate clean.@@trentspencer7991
Very little effect, it would seem. Your case hasn't had a wide enough audience in the sailing community itself, but also none in the general public. The main stream media hasn't picked up the story. Until and unless the case brings about a tsunami of protest, they will wait for the storm to pass.
Shocking...how can the boat manufacturers not sort the issues out urgently or give you a fit for purpose boat free of charge - an absolute disgrace ! - so sorry for your troubles 😔
They are paying for the repairs, a shared rental car and the hardstand fees. That said nothing much has been done to cover the lost time and opportunity or the wear and tear on a new boat that hasn't been used much.
If I owned a recent Leopard 45 I would be very concerned. It is clear that a lot of sub part components were ordered and installed. This is systematic fraud on the part of the builders
lawyer up sue the arse of them, this is farking appalling when youve spent over a mil on a dream and getting a nightmare. wait till theyve fixed it first then sue them for retrospective damages, please dont sign anything to the contrary.
If you pay for the boat with an Australian bank, have a contract with the VP in the US, you collect the boat in South Africa and the boat is currently located in Trinidad, how does that work?
I don’t know but it’s fundamentally wrong. Does it matter where you pay for it from and also the delivery point? I would think whoever you signed the initial contract with is liable? In the contract was there a disputes clause, I’m sure you’ve looked high and low.
I bet Sth African people don't understand sarcasm, you guys should have a new replacement boat by now#!!! Probably wouldn't be any better, feel so sorry for the ahit you are going through 😮

I love this comment 😂😭😂😭😂
Travelopia.. why you slower than Colin? 🤣

The broker is trying, they could do a lot more though. I question if the dice rolls on their part to cut costs are worth the ongoing exposure.

Omg 😱 I can’t believe that you are still on the hard!

@@travelsketch at least it’s a good place to spend the holidays 🎄🌴

Thank you for the support, we appreciate it 😊 That could be an interesting category and likely of more use!
It's so bad what's gone on and really feel for you, but Ill admit, you made me laugh! That bit about the aircon 😂 Seriosuly though, Leopard should be ashamed!
When are you going to get a Lawyer this is crazy what you are putting up with!
Congratulations ! that s the best commercial of all time !
Well, I mean.... for Lagoon :))
yeah not the intended message lol
Lagoons are just as bad if not worse
Effin Madness , Hang in there .
hi guys, i am surprised you made it that far into the video without totally losing your shit!!
I don't give up. This is much harder on Teesh and Tynan than me.
UNREAL!!!

Please let the shipbuilder know so that they act to better by us and other owners that we are assisting right now.

It isn't right but it is what they request. I wonder what affect this has on sales?

What a mess I hope it works out in the end. One thing is for sure never buy a Leopard catamaran or you too will end up in this mess.
Funny…… so much chaos onboard, but still put your shoes off……. A ironic smile in the chaos….
😮💨

I would never buy a new yacht after watching your experience. This is a living nightmare. No ways, not for me.
This is a complete horror show….the boat depreciates every year it is sitting there. What a lousy company.
I bet Sth African people don't understand sarcasm, you guys should have a new replacement boat by now#!!! Probably wouldn't be any better, feel so sorry for the ahit you are going through 😮
If this was a new expansive car like a rolls royce what then? GUESS LEOPARD IS A LOW CRAPPY PRODUCT. ANYWAY NOT FOR ME.
Expectations are apparently higher for a car. Buy a new boat, get promised the world then prepare for the gaslighting from current owners.
