Your videos are the best! You break it down in a way so easy to understand! Most of my customizations to my RetroPie setup have been based on your videos. Thank you so much!!!
Another great guide. Overlays are such a great finishing touch to your setup. But when I tried this I had problems on a number of systems. The same core can be used for a number of systems. This means saving a sega master overlay will appear on the sega mega drive and sega SG 1000 games, which you don't want. So you can have just one overlay for all 3 systems unless you create an overide for every single game which is a huge amount of work. I don't think you mentioned this big problem. Doing some research, the PC version has a save "content directory override" so that you can have an overlay per system, which is perfect. I wonder why this option is not available on retropie version 4.4. Hopefully it will appear soon.
You have a reference for the arcade mod ! Very nice video ! I have a Arcade 1up Pac-Man 40th Anniversary and install the Retropie but the menu is not centered (cut on the left side). How do I fix it ?
New to the channel Prime. How do you shrink the bezels on the screen. I see how to remove. But is there any way to shrink so you you can see the screen better. Also how do we make the screen look more clearer? Thank you in advance
Hello ETA prime another great tutorial how do I get gameboy to display properly in the bezel window as when the game is playing it is set to one site and to bog for the window of the bezel thanks
I am using just standard retro arch on my phone with mame I have these bezels does anyone know how to have specific bezels for certain games say if I play blazing star it has a horizontal bezel and if I play a vertical game it has one for it? I can't seem to figure it out
Thanks for this, got the bezels working, but mine seem too big for my screen. I'm using a 20in dell 4:3, and I have to increase the scale up to 1.35 in order to get it clear of my viewing area, this is only with my vertical shooters.. any ideas?
Is there a way to disable all at once? vs doing this for all systems one-by-one? I got an img file with bezels but running a 4:3 screen so overlays are a bit useless.
Can you recommend any gaming kit? I was thinking of getting a pandora box 5 gutting it and installing it into a bartop cabinet I have. Do you have any suggestions?
This is just what I’m looking for! Customised all my emulator overlays to make them look the best they can and give the original feel as close as poss, the empty edges just look boring now. Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks ETA, really helpful as always. The monitor in my cabinet is 1280 x 800 and these appear set up for a different ratio. I'm guessing I have to play around with the Retroarch native resolution to get these to fit? Any advice gratefully received because I haven't fiddled around with that aspect thus far.
I can't remove bezels, I go to onscreen overlay, turn display overlay off, configuration override and save core overrides but when I go out and back in the bezels are back, anyone know how to fix this?
Awesome vid! Question: Is there some bezel that just only have the "crt tv border"? What i mean is, i only want the crt border without the images that appears on the left and right sides
Hey ETA, great tutorial as usual.. My only issue is that my GBA games are not fitting inside of the Bezel and instead laying on top of it. How do I fix this?
Great video and I really wanted to do this so thank you! also, how do you do the hand held bezels. I found some online since MrHArais pack didn't come with them but they are meant for a smaller (Custom) screen. any ideas?
Oke, first of all, this is insane, second is my game running automaticly on 4:3 ? third if i install a new game after scraping all the bezels, do i need to do the process all over again?
doesn't changing the names of your roms mess a lot of things up? I installed the SNES bezels and it defaults to the SNES overlay, as it can't find my roms because the filenames don't match..
Hi. What do you do for systems that share an emulator? Ive changed the Mastersystem border but that also changes the 32x border as they both use Pico Drive
Hi ETA Prime Great video as usually Have update my bezels on most of my systems and they look great now. One fast question have RetroPie 4.4 installed on a Ubuntu x64 system but I can't find Daphne anywhere on the system Have looked in experimental packages Optional packages and main packages but have found nothing Have a copy of Dragon's Lair and would love to added it to my Retropie machine Any clues what happened to it? Thanks Gary
Good video, have you ever used an app on Android called RasPi check? It uses SSH to run commands to give you visual stats of your hardware, so CPU usage, ram usage, temps etc and you can create command buttons too, so you can just control certain features from your phone. Try it out! :)
I'm having issues with the gameboy advance fitting within the bezel. I'm using a 4:3 ratio and it's still a little big for the bezel itself. Any ideas?
Hey, Eta Prime! Big fan right here, first, I have to thank you because everyday my "GamePi" console only gets better because of your channel. Second, I have a question that I've never found an answer online: Besides getting a "better" performance from N64 games, what can I gain from overclocking my Pi3? I'm kinda scared of doing it, because I have a NesPi Case, and I don't know if overclock is worth of risking, because, I accepted that I can't play N64 properly on Pi (despite being my favorite console), so, is there any another gain from Overclocking? And, is there a risk overclocking with a NesPi PCB connected on it? Because I know the NesPi Case uses more energy Thanks!
Dude I overclock my pi to 1.4Ghz and 500Mhz for the GPU and it runs everything really well, noticed a difference from before. Also N64 try the different emulators plugins, I think I use Glez and it runs Ocarina of Time perfectly.
Loundsify Thanks for the reply! But, despite getting a better performance from N64, is there another gain from overclocking? Do I need to overclock for another X reason?
Is there any way to fix the overlay issue with shared cores? For instance, let’s say I want to use a Sega Genesis overlay on my Sega Genesis emulator, not only will it be on Sega Genesis, but also CD, 32X, and Master System. Same thing with Gameboy and Neo Geo Pocket, the same overlays used for those will also be present on NeoGeo Pocket Color and Gameboy Color. Is there an easier way to set an overlay per system without having to save it per game? I have a bunch of games for all of those and it’ll take forever!
Watched this hoping to learn how to add bezels per system when some consoles use the same core. For example if I set a Genesis bezel it will also launch with Sega Master system since it’s using the same core.
John Oaks Add the bezels in the 'config editor' for each system, don't apply it in the retroarch menu in game and save it as core overide otherwise it will be used on all the systems that emulator runs
Okay, got it working - use an FTP client like Fetch and go up from the directory the instructions here put you in until you find the folder he's referring to. Then continue on.
DrinkableTrees Apply the bezel then bring up the retroarch menu go to video and change the ratio to custom then just below that change the x,y,width and lenght👍
For anyone else looking for this this is what I came up with, Aspect Ratio: Custom, Custom Aspect Ratio X Pos. 608, Custom Aspect Ration Y Pos. 285, Custom Aspect Ratio Width 700, Custom Aspect Ratio Height 475.
WHY DO YOU ALWAYS MAKE VIDEOS AT THE EXACT POINT IN TIME THAT I NEED THEM!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! No joke... Every time bro. Your the man!
as a noobie (1 week) on retropie, I can say that in your channel i found most of the answers to my questions about settings and extras. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for linking my page. I'll try to update the link with more bezels since I collected, made more since then.
Thank you for taking the time to modify all these! I looked around for a good pack and this is the best I have seen. Thank you.
Thanks for the great work! Can you advise the screen setting in order to fit in those handheld bezels? I got display problem when using GBA bezek.
Thanks MrHArias, hey can you do add bezel for Sega dreamcast
This looks like a great collection. I’m Gona go and get the downloads now. Il be sure to subscribe on the way!
I know it's 2 years old but this was beautifully concise. Kudos!
You are the only one that I understand everything... Because my English is not so good (I am Colombian) thanks for all your tutorials ETA Prime
Your videos are the best! You break it down in a way so easy to understand! Most of my customizations to my RetroPie setup have been based on your videos. Thank you so much!!!
Helpful, thanks. I couldn't work out how to get overlays loading in each time a game was loading. It was the Game Overrides setting that did it.
This is the reason because we love ETA PRIME
On the topic of borders. How would one get Retropie to use up the entire vertical screen space? I've been unsuccessful in trying to tweak things.
Another great guide. Overlays are such a great finishing touch to your setup. But when I tried this I had problems on a number of systems. The same core can be used for a number of systems. These look great. I'll have to try it out when I get a moment.
excellent video, except when i get to dragging the files across to winscp, they wont come. attempting to add them to retropie , on raspberry pi 4.
Really good video. Detail spot on, clear and concise. Thank you
Great tutorial. Greetings from Poland
You have a reference for the arcade mod ! Very nice video ! I have a Arcade 1up Pac-Man 40th Anniversary and install the Retropie but the menu is not centered (cut on the left side). How do I fix it ?
As always a very clear explanation. Thanks!
New to the channel Prime. How do you shrink the bezels on the screen. I see how to remove. But is there any way to shrink so you you can see the screen better. Also how do we make the screen look more clearer? Thank you in advance

You are truely the best of the best
Love these! I have them setup on my pi also with the crt curvature enabled for scanlines.
Is there an alternate source for the bezels (or a different pack)? The link to the creator's site doesn't work. :(
Is there a way to disable all at once? vs doing this for all systems one-by-one? I got an img file with bezels but running a 4:3 screen so overlays are a bit useless.
Can you recommend any gaming kit? I was thinking of getting a pandora box 5 gutting it and installing it into a bartop cabinet I have. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for this tutorial, but I have a problem getting GBA Aspect ratio right with the frame set for my experience.
This is just what I’m looking for! Customised all my emulator overlays to make them look the best they can and give the original feel as close as poss, the empty edges just look boring now. Thanks 🙏🏻

Great video. When I do this the bezel bleeds over the game screen so the bezel is too big?
Did you figure out what was wrong with it?
I can't remove bezels, I go to onscreen overlay, turn display overlay off, configuration override and save core overrides but when I go out and back in the bezels are back, anyone know how to fix this?
you have to activate save configuration on exit
@@christianserra6167 I have tried that multiple times, they still come back.
Very helpful video, brilliant :)
Can you do an update on this the links done work and I would love to do this on my pi. Thank your the great vids
Awesome vid!
Question: Is there some bezel that just only have the "crt tv border"? What i mean is, i only want the crt border without the images that appears on the left and right sides
great tutorial ETA. if you could make tutorial on this for standalone retroarch that be great.
Hey ETA, great tutorial as usual.. My only issue is that my GBA games are not fitting inside of the Bezel and instead laying on top of it. How do I fix this?
I'm having problems with getting into the retroarch menu. is there another way to access it and set it up
Hello and thank you for the vid! Quick question: Does adding bezels and shaders increase input lag on emulators such as snes and neo geo?
Links are down 😢
Great video and I really wanted to do this so thank you! also, how do you do the hand held bezels. I found some online since MrHArais pack didn't come with them but they are meant for a smaller (Custom) screen. any ideas?
I need ur help when I start my fba games on retropie I can hear it but it just has a black screen shows. Any idea how to fix it please help
This is exactly what i was looking for, thanks :)
any chance on reviewing with TeknoParrot? maybe benchmark it with 2400g?
Is retropie compatible with a android TV box? Is there a good front end for Android?
Oke, first of all, this is insane,
second is my game running automaticly on 4:3 ?
third if i install a new game after scraping all the bezels, do i need to do the process all over again?

This Borders are not longer available over the links you've in your description.

Does this work with Recalbox?
Awesome! Question: do you find that the bezel along with the shader affects the gameplay, even with the pi 3b?
how to add overlay on scummvm or amiga? retroarch menu doesnt appear :(
Do you have a new link to the file?? This one will not work.
Just the best
How do you remove the bezels??
Not working anymore. Link of MrHArias is down. :(
Great information.
Can you make a portable odroid xu4?
The link for download is not working anymore 😕
I'm having issues with the gameboy advance fitting within the bezel. I'm using a 4:3 ratio and it's still a little big for the bezel itself. Any ideas?
Never mind, went with a custom aspect ratio and got it to fit.
Can you get these on recalbox?
Mine goes into retroarch with hotkey + X
Links do not work for download.
Just need someone to confirm if you turn display overlays option off that it will remove bezels. Maybe a stupid question, but I wanna know for sure
Dustin Blevins
If it's actually saved it will re appear next time u play it, turn it off then save 'core overide'
Andi Hoar will do thank you.

Yes,
Don't save core or game overide go to configuration setup in settings then do each console in there
The link to the bezel sets is dead 😐
Watched this hoping to learn how to add bezels per system when some consoles use the same core. For example if I set a Genesis bezel it will also launch with Sega Master system since it’s using the same core.
John Oaks

The bezels link does not work. Does anyone else have them?
Any way to do this on a mac? I can only see my roms, bios, etc folders.
Same here.
Okay, got it working - use an FTP client like Fetch and go up from the directory the instructions here put you in until you find the folder he's referring to. Then continue on.
For any Linux or Mac folks (and Windows if you choose), you can use Filezilla. It's free and easy to use.
Hotkey plus y isn't doing anything for me
In a few hours there will be a game changer dropped for adding custom bezels. Keep an eye out from the Bezel Project :) A custom bezel for every ROM
Been waiting for a while for it to be released. Can’t wait to test it out.
Thanks, it's been a lot of work but it's a passion project :)
Link is dead on his channel :\
the domain for download bezels doesnt exist anymore
MrHArias link is dead
anyone know how to do this for the gba? my aspect ratio is all over the place lol
DrinkableTrees
Apply the bezel then bring up the retroarch menu go to video and change the ratio to custom then just below that change the x,y,width and lenght👍

Excelente
FILEZILLA works perfectly on a mac
dose not work for me
Does he have a Twitter ???
Hey!
Don't you think you're more likely to experience screen burn having bezels.
No, not at all. You'd have to leave your TV on 24/7 with a screen shot running for months to have anything happen
