its very ironic that we all played a game where we need to grow up to proceed and is based around time. And now all we want is to do is go back in time. Time is a very surreal thing when you are young.
I remember feeling something not known to me just yet when the menu screen started and this song played. Years later, I recognized it as nostalgia. I felt nostalgia before having experienced something. And since then, I’ve always looked forward more to the end of things than the beginning. So I can rely and rest on the nostalgia - where things tend to be prettier.
This song will always have two meanings for me. First, the original play through of OoT on the N64, a glorious game and to this day, one of my favorite Zelda games, I have a TShirt with the logo on it (wearing it as I type this). The second is more somber, and likely more meaningful. My son, Rhysand, was born back in September 2021. He was born over 3 months early and had to spend 4 months in the NICU. A couple of times, I spent in the NICU with him in an enclosed container, and somehow the title theme from Ocarina of Time came to mind. I practically burst into tears humming it to him, but he was my little hero, persisting despite everything he went through. His second Halloween costume EVER was Link from The Legend of Zelda.
Time passes, people move. Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn to noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection. The clear water's surface reflects growth. Now listen to the Serenade of water to reflect upon yourself. -Sheik God this game was so special
This is my whole adolesence right here. And I am very glad that my most nostalgic moment in life comes back to this masterpiece, I always shed a tear every now and then when I listen to this lullaby.
1:34 you see that guy in the top left corner? With the lights on his face, he is actually an Easter egg, that's a statue of link voice actor who died due to a strange disease.
Man this game has created and recreated so many moments for people all around the world. Big shoutout to koji kendo fpr arranging so many masterpieces including this one!
Robin Williams Loved this game series soooo much the tone of this N64 intro music already has kind of a melancholy tune about it to begin with but its both beautiful and so sad reminder when I hear it , that Robin is actually gone , , ,😢 hits me the same way when i hear musicians recreating " Ballad of the Wind Fish" , if you feel empathy the tune just pulls yer heart out and steps on it 🎉😢😮😢😮
Man...this was absolutely beautiful! The guy on the ocarina killed that. Would it be okay for me to use part of this specific cover in some videos, as an outro? I would only be trying to use around 30 seconds or so.
8 months late, but i think that this is a songbird ocarina, they have a website where you can buy them from, but it isn't exactly cheap. they also have cheaper options that aren't zelda themed, i bought a bravura alto C many years ago and it sounds delightful
the guy on the front of ocarina guy is basically us, shedding tears every time we hear this song played.
feel him !
Crying Harp Dude isn't a person, but a way of life
@Mike Davis Okay, thanks for that great advice, Mike Davis!
bro his eyes aren't too wet, they're too dry.
hes crying bcs that shit is loud as hell in his ear
the guy who played the ocarina is the main character
His name is David Eric Ramos, he has a TH-cam channel. Should check him out
and just the fact that the ocarina matches the one in the game is amazing
he actually has his own youtube channel where he teaches ocarina and knows every zelda somg
That's docjazz aka David, he is the ocarina youtube GOAT and original
Thank you, that was me. Much appreciated❤

The flow of time is always cruel…
@@Flibbertyjibwell said my friend.
Time does not exist, only the eternal and present Now
Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game, being such a little boy when I first played it. It's nice to see how almost everyone started off with OoT
Like a river flows @@Flibbertyjib
To that dude crying at the harp:
You were not the only one. Trust me you were not
i thought he was almost falling asleep
My eyes have become wet with tears , I understand the sentiment.

I dont know what this title theme has. But It has it his purest form. Can not express with words that feeling when im listening to it. Wonderful.
Nostalgia. Even if you've never played the game before, this theme captures the feeling of nostalgia perfectly. It's really quite remarkable.

I remember when Ocarina of Time was the hardest thing going on in my life.
Im starting to get a bit older now. This reminds me of my youth and I can admit I teared up listening to it.
The guy playing the ocarina even has semi-pointy ears to be in character, so inspiring :’)
So grateful to have grown up in the golden era of gaming.
I have never played Zelda OoT but that and this title theme got me... Tears. Love it, thank you ♥
