A kid did it at our highschool talent show and then lost to a band that played "Brain Stew" by Greenday. I was gutted, even though I was 14 and loved Greenday then haha.
My school has two piano’s for student use during breaks and lunch, and every lunch period a kid plays Zelda, xenoblade, Mario, super smash bros, etc. he plays dozens of video games music.
Wish you had told the guy the real composer, Koji Kondo. Dude deserves more recognition for being an incredible composer who has helped make our favorite games just a bit more magical
It's crazy how a lot of classical music fans don't really appreciate great composers like Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Jeremy Soule, Harry Gregson-Williams and the like today just because they're associated with video games. Though at least many will still somewhat appreciate movie score composers like John Williams and Hans Zimmer, but video games usually seem so ignored. Like guys, the composer doesn't have to have died over 100 years ago to qualify as a great composer. Video games are keeping this style of music alive today and more classical fans need to appreciate that.
I agree that people exist but we, people that appreciate them as the legendary composers they are, we are also humans like them and probably a greater number each year
Gerudo Valley is easily one of the best songs out there. I heard a Mariachi band play it in a Mexican restaurant once (I kid you not) and it was one of the most incredible experiences. Nobody could figure out why all the 30-something year olds in the restaurant were cheering so much
For me I feel like a big part of it is it is a song I know, and I get to see what types of people stop for a song I like and what kinds of people move on. Also the performances bring me back to a time when I would enjoy those songs. This video was my favorite childhood game.
Koji Kondo really knew how to write both iconic and catchy but also atmospheric, moody tunes as well. Cool to see you guys bring more attention to this soundtrack.
I love how the one guy mistakes Koji Kondo's work with Bach, it just goes to show just how amazing of an artist the guy is. He should honestly be remembered just as much as the other great musicians in history.
Definitely and I believe he and many others will be. There a quite a few amazing artists who's works go into games and movies that are essential to music history.
I remember watching a video a while ago where classic musicians had to figure out if a song played in a simple melody was either Mozart or pokemon, and there were a few pokemon songs they genuinely thought were Mozart. I guess it goes to show that even with working on limitations of the Gameboy and other early consoles, composers for Nintendo knew their stuff :D
Great Fairy’s Fountain absolutely sounds inspired by Bach. Credit to the guy for knowing the OG! He might’ve been receptive to learning about Koji Kondo, but it ended up kinda awkward. “It’s a famous composer named Zelda,” is a pretty dismissive answer. You’re just assuming he won’t want to search it up later. Even old folks have heard of Legend of Zelda (Think Robin Williams.) So he could’ve been feeling like Boomer hate and just moved on. Just respond with confidence! “Legend of Zelda, baby! By the incredible composer, Koji Kondo!” or “Ocarina of Time, a true work of art in video games. You learn and play music as a core mechanic of the game!” That’s the way to do it, and warm people up to the merits in our favorite works.
The stranger who sits down and plays at around 1:57 is playing a french song named Comptine d'un autre été, l'après-midi, by the composer who made that (and many more) brilliant melodies for a french film called The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain from the year 2001, original title is Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. For anyone who enjoys the lovely background sound of Piano and could possible enjoy watching a heart-warming and beautiful romantic comedy (and not the cheesy type) you owe yourself to watch this movie and listen to the music. You can thank me later.
L'aprés-midi was the first song I ever learned for piano, love that song. Though that stranger sadly kinda butchered the third part of the song, and got the tempo of his hands really mixed up. The rest was really well done though
I knew it was from Amélie the second I heard it! I completely agree that Amélie is an amazing romance, but what you forgot to mention is the very interesting things about the film. She likes to try new things, and do things people wouldn't think to do. I love the gnome. She also loves to make people happy so much, but she sees that someone's boss is really mean, so she takes action herself. She goes into this person's house, and changes things very slightly, like changing the doorknob from a round one to a rectangular one, or getting shoes exactly like his, but a few sizes down, and replacing his with the ones she got.
It really does shock me how few professionals composers even think about considering video game music as “art” considering I grew up with video game music and it’s the music that’s had the largest influence on my composing style. The day soundtracks from video games can be considered true art by the masses is the day I can die happy
@@DaemonWorx It's ironic too, more people will listen to video game ost than anything these professionals composers make. Ace zero, Final Fantasy, Metal gear, The Witcher, Persona... the list is endless really, Japanese Composers are nuts. I listen to these all the time.
and the best thing about it is probably that most of them are beautiful on their own, but simultaneously designed to be able to be looped without distracting too much or getting on your nerves. So beautiful AND useful. 😊
‘Is that Bach?’ No, it’s Koji Kondo. 😂 I used to play Zelda a Link to the Past on my SNES back in 1992 and have not really played another Zelda game until Tears of the Kingdom. I almost cried the first time I heard The Fairy Fountain theme playing in Tears of the Kingdom. Obviously it sounded very modern with real musical instruments but the melody was the same and immediately took me back almost 30 years. Back to my bedroom and to a better time when I was just a kid in school playing on his SNES. Very nostalgic. I love this song. Thank you for playing it.
Absolutely! I DJ’d a friends wedding and played songs from games (their list). Had aunts, uncles, grandparents coming up and asking me who the composers were. Had a huge smile on my face every single time. Pulled out a pad and pen and told them to write down their name and email and I’d have the couple send them the song set. Had a great chuckle over it! Especially from the uncle that hated video games.
When the dude played the French song, you could tell his girlfriend was so proud. Love Zelda, so I’m glad you did this, it sounds amazing, I definitely don’t have the confidence yet to play in public
Legend of Zelda games were always the ones we would beg our dad to play, just to we could watch him and help him solve the puzzles. The songs always bring nostalgia bubbling up inside of me. Thank you.
I'm glad people get to have memories like this, and I wish I could say the same for myself. If I ever became a parent I'd hope for that sort of relationship with my kids ^^
I swear I think I would honestly just stand there next to your piano and start crying hearing you play Zelda Songs. This game has such a deep and huge impact in my life I could listen to you playing for hours. Amazing Performance 🙏
Most people, especially older generations, don't realize that games can have actual orchestras creating their music. Nobuo Uematsu is one of my favorite composers of all time and you can't go wrong playing an absolute banger from FFVII or VIII. Such beautifully scored music.
most classic/famous songs, like doom, minecraft, undertale, pokemon, and other that i wont force myself to remember, give me chills, specifically for undertale and zelda, that made most my childhood.
Older people? I'm 60 and have been playing video games since Pong came out. Don't assume the older people don't know exactly what they're listening to.
I agree with the lady at 1:18, Great Fairy Fountain always makes me cry too. It’s hard to describe but it fills me with a melancholic nostalgia for a time and place I have never been, nor can put my finger on, yet feel so powerfully for. It’s such a moving piece.
why do i get so emotional for the start screen music? i think it's one of the more underrated zelda pieces. and those hoof beats hit me right in the feels.
I love when some people in the background hear the iconic notes and just stop immediately and be like "is that... it can't be? holy crap, i think it is" you can just see them realizing it lol
Very much agree. You can always spot the gamer going about their day basically ignoring the guy playing piano only to stop in their tracks when the tune catches them.
Early video game music and bach are actually pretty similar. Due to the technical limitations of the hardware, composers used a music technique called counterpoint to create rich sounding textures using only a few voices. Counterpoint was kind of perfected by Bach in the baroque period, and video game composers often cite him as a huge inspiration.
Also due to creative limitations of the typically one person who was responsible for the entire game (story, design, coding, graphics, sound, music, QA), and due to copyright constraints, it was often easiest and cheapest to just use a Bach piece verbatim :)
There was a video I remember watching a few months back, where 2 people were doing a quiz on music pieces and whether they were Mozart or Pokemon tracks, and was interesting to hear them back and forth and actually be puzzled on some as to who it actually was.
To be clear it should be mentioned, and respect given to Koji Kondo the great composer of these Zelda songs. Ocarina of Time to be exact and my all-time favorite game.
The french song the stranger plays at 2:08 is Comptine d'un autre ete, l'apres-midi by Yann Tiersen for the soundrack of the movie Amelie, which is now also a musical. He did an amazing job with the piece. I had one friend who could play it, and whenever we were in the vicinity of a piano I would almost beg her to play it. It sounds better live, somehow. There was one time I was visiting Boston and I walked into this like mall lobby and heard extremely familiar music playing. Some guy was on a piano playing the Build Mode music from the Sims 1. I was so excited about it and stood there for a while but none of my friends knew what it was. It was the best feeling.
Zelda's OST pretty much birthed/nurtured my love for music since a very young age. Koji Kondo laid a great foundation for the future artists to expand upon and it has shown greatly in these modern Zelda titles and fan's interpretations.
The title theme always hits me right in the emotions. OoT is the first Zelda I personally owned. My mother bought it for me for the N64 as my first game I ever owned without sharing with my brother. I’ll forever thank her.
The intro to Ocarina of Time always gives me chills because it reminds me of such a great time when I was playing it. I turned the game on, listened to the intro, and couldn't keep from smiling and wondering what adventures lay ahead.
Yeah the intro filled me with such a sense of mystery as a kid and whenever I hear it, the ghost of that wonder comes back to me. I can’t feel the same level of wonder in video games as an adult that I could back then, and this song always reminds me of that and takes me back to how that felt.
I remember my mother walking by and looking out the windows, so I asked her what she was looking for and she said the horse! XD I pointed at the horse on the screen and she was a bit shocked. (we did sometimes have horses around our house)
Zelda is basically my whole childhood. Kept me in a safe, warm feeling coming home from a bad day at school. Made me wanna learn reading and writing when I was little and I still enjoy playing almost all of them nowadays. If I would hear those sounds IRL, I probably would go crazy af.
The wind blowing through his hair during the Ocarina Title screen song, the random guys sitting in and playing, the epicness of the Gerudo Valley song, guy asking if it was Bach…. So many highlights in one video!
My theory on why you got a good crowd with Gerudo Valley was yes, time of day but also there is so much more energy to it. It truly grabs your attention.
Absolutely. Gerudo valley has always been my favorite Zelda song. It’s just so unique from anything I’ve ever heard before, while also encapsulating the beauty and power of the Gerudos. It’s such an amazing tune.
It's honestly sad that some of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created will never be experienced by a large chunk of the population simply because it's in a video game and older people can't fathom games being art
I'm a full grown adult now, but one of my earliest memories is getting a N64 for Christmas and playing Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time with my 2 older brothers. Any time I hear the Zelda music i get hit by a wave of nostalgia, Joe, your rendition's of the Zelda music are amazing! Keep it up! I hope you do some more at different spots! While I love Anime, and that's what made me find your channel, I think the Zelda music has a much broader appeal to the public in general while doing this live outside. Little Trivia, did you know Robin Williams the famous and unfortunately deceased actor/comedian/legend loved the Zelda series so much he named his daughter Zelda! That is all, have a great day whomever read this.
That's a really cool fact! I did not know that one. I have no idea when the man died, since I barely know who he is, but I always love when media touches people so much that it influences them in such bog ways like naming a child after a character.
@@Sakachi18 if you'll like to watch some of his movies to get an idea of who he was, I recommend: Patch Adams Dead Poets Society Jumanji Night at the Museum And of course Aladdin (he voices the genie xD)
I started as an adult and still play now.. once you are hooked on Zelda 😁, no doubt. So much care goes in to every detail and it shows. BOTW is most amazing and we are all chomping at the bit for the 2.0 TOK Spring release, yeah?
That "beautiful French song" played by the stranger is from a French movie - Amelie! The entire soundtrack (written by Yann Tiersen) of which is beautiful. The specific song is Comptine d'un autre été, l'après-midi. I strongly encourage anyone who hasn't to both see the film and listen to the whole soundtrack!
Song of Storms is, in my opinion, one of the most addictive songs in existence. It feels like you’re constantly falling forward, and never hit the ground. When you expect a resolution, you just get the beginning again. I feel the same way about Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, which is a huge compliment to Kondo.
So many of the zelda songs are crazy addictive, some of my favourite are the title and outset island from windwaker, too many to say from OoT and SS as well as so many of the background themes from BotW.
I think that feeling is intentional and tied to the origin of the song in the game. You get the song by approaching a man in the windmill as adult Link and he shares with you the song a boy had played long ago to make the windmill spin faster. Go back to the past and play the song there as child Link and you literally become the origin for that song. Which I assume ties into the song itself looping back to its own beginning. At least that's how I've always interpreted it. It's a genius piece on its own but for me became so much better with the in-world lore from the game.
I like that you keep it close to the original scores. A lot of people like to go way overboard with techniques they think are fancy when playing video game music, which erases a lot of the intended effects of the scores.
I learned to play the piano because of the Zelda soundtrack. Seeing this in my feed instantly got me back in the mood to start practicing. Fun fact: Song of Storms, Clock Town, and The Title theme of Ocarina of time were the first 3 songs I ever performed on Piano. Seeing this video sent me down a road of nostalgia for a multitude of reasons. Love your videos man, you inspire me to practice and one day I'd like to do what you do and spread inspiration the way you have to myself and many others.
Just got one of your videos randomly played after smth. I watched. Great energy, it’s easy to see you love what you’re doing - and you letting strangers take over and contribute to your content is telling a lot about the quality of your character! You won a fan.
For one of the legend of Zelda songs to be confused for a song from Bach is a true sign that Koji Kondo did an amazing job with the Zelda franchise’s soundtrack
Fairy Fountain is inspired a lot by Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu so he probably truly recognized the song just mistook the composer. Listen to Chopin's song and you will hear Fairy Fountain
There's nothing I love more than the compositions from all our beloved Zelda games. I too play these songs on Violin and Piano constantly. I adore you did this in public~! Many non-gamers do not know the love that went into creating these pieces. You melted my NY heart boy XOXO
Gerudo valley is a banger as always. My other favorite songs are the Rito village theme from BOTW, Zelda’s lullaby, and Ballad of the Goddess Yes, I am aware that the last two are the same but reversed.
When you played ‘Title Theme’ I literally closed my eyes and thought about that cinematic experience. As link rode through Hyrule Field. And you press ’start’ and the game title appears. I though about every time I had the pleasure of doing that. Probably hundreds of times. Brought me back. Crazy how music can affect memories and nostalgia. But its like they say, Time passes, people move. Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn to noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection. And the clear water's surface reflects growth.
@@TastyJason7 the first zelda game was released in 1986 titled "the legend of zelda" so its very possible the parents played it when they were young. fun fact, occarina of time is the 10th game in the series
It’s always hard to explain the emotions I feel whenever I hear Ocarina’s title theme. Somewhere between extreme happiness and content, but also a little sad.
Thanks for this. This was incredibly nostalgic. This game (ocarina of time) made my childhood so much better. I moved a lot as a kid, and when I discovered this game as a kid, I didn't have any friends to play with in the new neighborhood. I spent all summer playing this game and exploring. It seemed so massive at the time. I'm 30 years old and I can't explain the feeling I get when I hear this music. It's just awesome.
I've never really sat here and listened to piano before, but i'm quickly finding out that i too cry from hearing it. Is this normal lol? That title song was just amazing
the second fairy fountain started i immediately got chills. It's incredibly difficult to describe the emotions and experiences I have associated with any soundtrack from OOT or majoras mask
the stranger who played the "old grandpa" song as I call it, did a great job and brought a tear to my eye, incredibly moving song and animated video that accompanies it. Its almost as heart wrenching as the into to UPs animation. Great work, loved this!
We really need to give credit to these amazing Japanese composers. They are by far the most known and keeping classical alive. Their use of actual orchestra for anime and games is astounding. Many of the themes have become classics that will be around and taught next to the likes of Mozart and Bach.
That one guy: "Is that Bach?" 🤣 Reminds me of one day when I was whistling Saria's Song from Ocarina of Time and my dad asked if it was Jupiter the Bringer of Jollity from Holst's the Planets. After listening to them back-to-back I actually can completely understand why he asked me that. The two songs sound surprisingly similar.
I'm from Mexico and a big zelda fan, I've been to Bristol 3 times for work and from the beginning of the video I identified the place!! Everyday I went to that Tesco, it would have been great to come out of the Tesco and listen to you play those Zelda songs, I would have stayed all day
Zelda is just one of those franchises that is almost perfect. The stories, the music, the way they look. Zelda is definitely my favorite game series of all time.
You don’t even have to be that smart to play Zelda games. Just have like a first grade education. 😭 (some puzzles are hard tho and that’s what makes it fun)
I bet others pointed that out already, but for anyone not in the know the "beautiful French song" is: Yann Tiersen - Comptine d`un autre ete - l`apres-midi And yes, beautiful is an apt description. Awesome skills all throughout. That composer Zelda made some nice music. ;)
As someone who works with cameras, let me say, the self restraint on the cameraman is LEGENDARY to not bounce EVEN THE SLIGHTEST along to these bangers and keep the cam steady.
Zelda songs are so iconic. I wonder if the makers of the songs ever knew how popular the songs would be. Sadly they are a song of a generation that other generations will never know.
Play Ocarina of Time! It is an excellent game for someone new to Zelda as it introduces a lot of main lore. Plus the majority of songs in this video are from the game!
@@marykelly2502 I don’t really think Ocarina Of Time is a great place because it’s so old it can be hard for people to get in to the game I feel a more modern title like wind water or Twilight Princess would be better as the game feels modern and even just looks better.
Again that's what i love about Music. Some elder People who probably never heard of Zelda or if don't know the Songs stood by and enjoyed these masterpieces and probably also asked theirselves where they are from and who has written them. Clearly Koji Kondo has written something breathtaking there ❤
My dad is pretty old, born in 1945. I was playing the orchestral soundtrack for TLoZ:OoT one time on one of our road trips, and he was blown away when I told him it was from one of my "dumb videogames." I also played tracks from other games with fantastic music, like MGS, Battlefield, CoD 4, Animal Crossing, Halo, and the list goes on. He became way more supportive of my gaming after that. Most recently, even in my adult life, I mentioned in passing my PC was getting old (2012 Dell XPS 8500), and he just straight up offered to fund a new gaming PC, just because. Crazy ol' man let me build a dream rig, about a $3,000 machine (not including display) last year. He told me to enjoy it, and to send him some more CDs with custom mixes I make from game soundtracks. Working on a mix right now based around the Stardew Valley soundtrack. My dad is a serious audiophile, but he isn't a gamer, so he loves when I share the music from games with him. ❤
This is my second attempt watching this video. At my first attempt, Joe started playing Great Fairy Fountain, and I burst into tears. Ocarina of Time lives in my heart dearly as it is my first VG to ever watch and play as my late brother owned a N64. I would watch him play for hours and sneak on to play my own save. I tried to be sneaky, but he obviously knew as he saw my save. Thank you Joe for showing others the beautiful music from OoT.
I had no idea that I needed this, but 5:36 gave me very literal goosebumps. Took me right back to post Christmas 1998, 12 year old me sitting in front of my old TV being completely swept away. Thanks
Dang. I was only 1 years old in 1998. The first console I got to play on was the SNES that belonged to my friends older brother because my parents wouldn't buy me a game boy. What was it like being 12 in 1998???
I'm terrified of lonely pianos in public places. Really want to play them, but at the same time I don't, plus there's always someone who actually plays right and takes the seat. Great music from composer "Zelda". 🤣
When other people play: The piano is on fire, everyone is watching, it's the most beautiful thing you have heard all week When you press one single key: Everyone in a 6-mile radius dies from a stroke
I’m only scared of them from playing Super Mario 64, at the age of four. That’s why I have social anxiety, and insomnia. Don’t get me wrong, I love piano _music,_ not pianos. I know, it’s weird, but…
That moment at 2:15 when the bystander piano player's girlfriend is so proud of him! It was generous of you to let him play and to put him on the video.
@@TiboNutz that is the downside of knowing too much about music, you couldn't enjoy things like that. On the other hand, I, as a mediocre musician, could enjoy his playing very much.
Koji Kondo made some of the greatest pieces of music in all of gaming history. He made the iconic mario theme and he made the main TLoZ theme in just one day. Everybody knows of the Mario theme but not enough people know about the amazing man behind the music.
I'm not sure where it would be in the list, but the Mario Bros theme has got to be one of the hundred most instantly recognizable pieces of music ever written.
If these pieces were written 200 years ago, Kondo etc would be considered composers on the level of many classical greats, as would some of these tracks.
Those classical greats are considered greats cause they invented that type of music, sure these are good songs but modern composers have hundreds of years of written theory and songs from which they can take inspiration
I always love these videos because I get to see music bring strangers together. People caught up in their own lives are able to stop for a moment and share in that beauty together, with nothing in common except for an appreciation of the music. Please keep playing to give those simple joys to whatever lucky strangers happen to be walking your way.

I think that chap was embarrassed but hopefully in time it'll be seen as a sincere compliment and not something to be embarrassed by.
@@charityquill4965 I also watched that video. Crazy stuff.

Absolutely agree!!!
She goes into this person's house, and changes things very slightly, like changing the doorknob from a round one to a rectangular one, or getting shoes exactly like his, but a few sizes down, and replacing his with the ones she got.
to me it sounds like Detroit become human
Videogame music has been keeping classic compositions fresh even more than cinema. So many great composers.
It really does shock me how few professionals composers even think about considering video game music as “art” considering I grew up with video game music and it’s the music that’s had the largest influence on my composing style.

Absolutely! I DJ’d a friends wedding and played songs from games (their list). Had aunts, uncles, grandparents coming up and asking me who the composers were.
NEAT! I learned something today!
Yea and Bach was really good at developing melodies, which is really important in video game music in the form of leitmotivs!
All modern music is really just Bach in principle

Mines the great fairy theme it's so enchanting and graceful
Agreed with Song of Storms! It feels like a constant song that you could watch go on forever

Got shivers immediately, the legend of zelda soundtrack truly has a special place in my heart
Jesus Christ the good lord loves you :" )
I had no idea that I needed this, but 5:36 gave me very literal goosebumps. Took me right back to post Christmas 1998, 12 year old me sitting in front of my old TV being completely swept away.
Thanks
Same!! This game was my first Zelda game.
"Listen!" 😆
same broo @@Xaero324

When other people play: The piano is on fire, everyone is watching, it's the most beautiful thing you have heard all week
When you press one single key: Everyone in a 6-mile radius dies from a stroke
Are you terrified of them because of SM64?
@@TheAbsol7448 Nah, I never got to that part in SM64. I do have an issue with falling penguins tho.
I’m only scared of them from playing Super Mario 64, at the age of four. That’s why I have social anxiety, and insomnia. Don’t get me wrong, I love piano _music,_ not pianos. I know, it’s weird, but…
This video is AWESOME! I love the variety of people that your rendition of Zeld music reaches, young & old alike! Thank you for sharing this video.
i love that old couple just chillin and watching you play. you can tell they really appreciate the fine things in this world like a skilled pianist.
That moment at 2:15 when the bystander piano player's girlfriend is so proud of him!
It was generous of you to let him play and to put him on the video.
Yes and bravo to him for playing in public. But he absolutely butchered the piece haha, the rhythm made me die inside.
@@TiboNutz that is the downside of knowing too much about music, you couldn't enjoy things like that. On the other hand, I, as a mediocre musician, could enjoy his playing very much.
and by 2:55 she's thinking about what she's gonna do to him later... 😏
Imagine him playing it for his grandkids in 60 years, and his grandkids thinking "grandpa playing his old music again, ugh" 😂
Epic.
@@gustavomartins5599 True. Its one of the reasons I was Always hesitant to actually get good in Music. I didnt want to lose the Enjoyment.
Man, you just made my evening. That Gerudo was a smash but you had me feeling for the Great Fairy Fountain.... need to find my 3DS❤
Its a crime if they are not.
You know, we can consider him that and that counts for something. That's how that works. 😄
I always love these videos because I get to see music bring strangers together. People caught up in their own lives are able to stop for a moment and share in that beauty together, with nothing in common except for an appreciation of the music. Please keep playing to give those simple joys to whatever lucky strangers happen to be walking your way.
already tearing up on fairy fountain, its so beautiful! 🥲
Ahh the old days
Legendary
Zelda music is honestly some of the best music I’ve ever heard
Koji Kondo is a legend for a reason.
So real
I would put Dragon Quest and FF before tho..... The dragon quest guy was a legend , but the FF one didnt even a musical degree and self taught.
@showbizonastick how does that even work
me personally its final fantasy
As someone who has never played a Zelda game in my life, I am astounded at how many of these I actually knew already.
Like, feeling nostalgia over songs from a game I've never played, that's what you call iconic
play botw right now. You'll finish it just in time when botw 2 comes out (December this year)!
@@thecaptainasian I don't have a switch
@@chickensox8318 oh… consider getting one. I’ve been playing botw for three years and its still fun to play

Whoever composed gerudo valley, they have my utmost respect
It was Koji Kondo. He is an absolute Legend.
Clearly not enough respect for you to just Google who made it
@@sinso1991 koji kondo is the soul reason i began learning an instrument, many great soundtracks for many great games. even got many of his soundtracks on disc 🤣
@@masdog ok good for you
As a spanish, i would like to say than here the exact instant hoj touch a horse this starts to sound
i’m surprised nobody recognized those tunes if it were me and my daughter we would’ve bum rushed to wherever that sound was coming from & sat there the whole show!! we listen to this zelda sleep spotify playlist every night b4 bed, nice video!
Beautiful that you included the stranger playing. Well played.
Especially when he himself couldn’t play well at all and the stranger really made that even clearer.
@@brendenreader7407 Lmao the stranger couldnt play the piano that well. The song he played is one of the first ones you learn on a piano. It sounds difficult but is veery easy. The Zelda themes are not very difficult but much harder than what the stranger played.
The second he laid into the first song I immediately got super goosebumps. That’s the good stuff. The skin is an organ like the heart and it’s amazing when music speaks to it.
Damn, Gerudo Valley seemed extremely difficult to do towards the end. The complexity in the notes and the positioning of your fingers for them all looked strenuous.
not to be a hater but out of experience i can say that he probably missed quite a few times but can just mask that really well this is something all good musicians can do but especially pianists
Your take on Gerudo Valley - the most amazing Zelda song ever - is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you so much for sharing this!
