This animation really took me back. Somehow, before open-world games, this classic managed to make the lost woods feel rich and vast, with secrets awaiting discovery just beyond the darkness. I liked the giant boulder bit especially, because the environment looked familiar enough I was immediately on high alert for boulders.
Never knew the composer of the legendary Undertale piano soundtracks could Animate!! I KNEW I recognised that piano style and the name. Excellent work man, you are an inspiration
Woww, this is really cool. Didn’t know you animated so well! It’s so quirky and charming. Music too. Great work. Would LOVE to see more from Ocarina of time in this style :DD
This is so playful and magical and I like it so much that we can see Link more as a child than a hero. The song is incredible and it works perfectly with the animations. That's just awesome❤
This whole video brought out perfectly how Ocarina of Time truly felt as we played these games as children. Full of wonder and eagerness to explore. I loved the music composition and how it went along with the animation itself. Splendid work, cannot wait to see more of masterpieces like this.
Oh, I love this!! You've really captured the explorative innocent nature of a child on an adventure! It's easy to forget, what with the darker themes in OOT, that Link is really just a child. And I feel like at the start of his journey, he'd be excited and curious more than anything else. I love the way you've captured this!
This was so beautiful and joyful! I loved every moment of the song and video! It was always awesome to see/hear Navi's movements, and whenever that bell tone for denoted her presence I had chills. ^_^
Beautiful cover, and such a charming animation! OoT has always been such an important game to me - the manual illustrations inspired me to get into art, I made (very bad) covers of its music back when FL Studio was still called Fruity Loops, and it ultimately set me down the path to my career in game dev - and you have absolutely done it justice here. The nostalgia and love come through in spades. Awesome work!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing! Cool to hear how much OoT has had such a big impact on you, and super glad to have done it some justice (ahh Fruity Loops…)
Procreate Dreams is used for all animation. Making all the different background layers and then manually animating each one to achieve the desired look
Amazing work, David! This is incredible!
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it ^^
Theophany 😮, what are you doing here?
It was nice to see Link briefly enjoying being a kid before almost being smushed by the boulder xD
Boulder scary.
It almost feels like being in the "Lost" Woods is where you can feel the least "lost" ironically.

Absolutely gotta watch out for boulders - thank you!
